Cursed Energy

"Cursed….Energy, where have I heard this term before?" Manjiro thought to himself as he tried to remember.

"Cursed Energy? We learned about it in the academy, even though we never used it." Lavender shouted. "But we didn't go in-depth with it either"

"Cursed energy is made from an individual physical and spiritual energy, a lack of stamina will inhibit your cursed energy output. It allows you to punch and kick harder by focusing cursed energy on any part of your body. Each person is born with a specific kind of cursed energy, cursed energy can become different elements, for example, the sorcerer-king Kenja our leader has the element of light. Kenja can turn into light or output light he can even travel as light." Kami explained as his students looked at him with amazement.

"Sensei! What type of element can your cursed energy shift into?" Manjiro said eagerly waiting for an answer.

"That's a hard question to answer I forgot what my natural element was, let's just say there's more than one element." These words got all three rookies looking at Kami in confusion. "All right let's find out what your cursed energy elements are." Kami led his team towards the gymnasium where they approached a blood sample machine.

"Now draw some of your blood onto the edge of this machine and it will read your blood and give you the element of your cursed energy?" Kami explained.

"But how does blood tell the type of element your cursed energy will have?" Shita said questioning Kami.

"Cursed energy runs through every ounce of our body including your blood, it is the safest way to find out your element, trust me you should've seen what I had to do to get mine," Kami said while chuckling "Well Lavender mind going first? Don't be shy"

As Lavander made her way up to the machine she bit her palm causing it to bleed, she then dropped the blood into the machine. The screen turned on and was processing... Ding.

"Water huh that's pretty basic," Lavender said in disappointment

"Don't be it seems basic but only the people who have water are in the Shizen clan, which you are in so I was expecting this. If you train your cursed energy your water could probably flood continents as your father has in the past," Kami said remembering to his youth.

"Shita you're up"

Doing the same thing as Lavender,Shita drew blood from his palm and dropped the blood into the machine however unlike Lavender the results came in immediately.

"Mhmm how ironic,"Shita said with a grin on his face "Can't believe I got the same element as him."

"Fire powers? So his cursed energy is more like his father's side of the family than his mother's, no wonder they got rid of him. He wasn't meant to be in that village, he's the first natural fire-cursed energy user in Hiwa no Kuni. So far we've gained two valuable assets," Kami thought to himself.

"Hey, Sensi can I go now!" Manjiro yelled, "I'm going to get the best one water and fire are going to look like stained shit compared to mine."

As Manjiro approached the machine he drew blood from his thumb and dropped it into the machine. Out of all three rookies, it took Manjiro's blood longest for the machine to process it took exactly ten minutes.

"Error! What the hell does that mean" Manjiro said with an angered look on his face.

"Maybe it's because you drew blood from your thumb and not your palm like me and Shita?" Lavender said with a thoughtful look on her face.

"No, your cursed energy is just too weak for processing. Meaning you don't have enough cursed energy in your blood, instead of training your cursed energy for the like month you will train your martial arts." Kami stated

"Fine…" Manjiro muttered as he tried to calm himself.

"Now we have a full month of training ahead of us before our first mission. So during this time, I'm going to train your martial arts skills, and teach you how to output and sustain cursed energy including how to use your elements. After that, we tackle our first mission as a team."
