203 Chapter 203: Smooth-skinned

Lila suddenly fainted after a long busy day. Kiel rushes to visit his collapsed wife. Tera welcomed him and pulled him unto the corner.

"It is a strange reaction. Her stitch from the wound reopened. She needs to rest. I advise you to let Natalina take over her job."

Kiel nod his head and saw his son peeping from the door. Kiel invited his son and assured him that it will be alright.

"Son, can you please watch your mom? I will have to attend a meeting with your grandfather." Urchin grin at Kiel in agreement and jump beside his mother who is still unconscious. Kiel exited the room to inform Cyrus about the current issue when they recieved the bad news.

Cyrus paced back and forth outside their medical room. Cyrus was beyond shock when a civilian delivered Yodh in a dire state. He looked trampled and beaten. The blood from his system dried out to cover his skin. His jaw were disaligned. His elbows losed it bones and his feet were beyond description.

When Nevi heared the alarming and critical condition of Yodh, he rushes to visit him. Nevi spotted the Tale Bearers outside the operating room when Hexel came out to let them in and whispered.

"He is in a 50-50 condition. It was too grievous. We can't predict how long will he able to fight back. Nonetheless he barely spoke to have your presence required inside."

The beeping sound made it more nerve-wracking. Yodh's face were unrecognized. He forced a charming wink and smile that made his jaw create a cracking sound.

"That hurt." He muttered.

Cyrus and Resh laughed at his epic smile.

"Who did this to you?" Resh inquired.

"A cult suddenly raided us and overpowered us. They revived the queen." Yodh informed.

"I see, that explains Lila's slumber. What about your wife?" Cyrus added as he realised the situation.

"Yes, and Taw is the queen's current host. It was hard on my part to hit back." Yodh explained.

"That explains how you get this pitiful." Resh pointed.

Evi resized Lila as Urchin and Kiel were left to be secured in Kisiena. Kish and Sienna resided at the area after the incident. Kiel can't help but worry with their current situation since there was no improvement in her condition. Mem directed their voyage as the storm waves up. The tides were getting agressive and stronger.

Evi empowered the size of their ship to go against the raging sea.

"I will use Sotai's rod to calm the sea." Kiel stated as he summon the rod but it was in effective.

"I bet the best thing we can do is to hold on and face this brewing storm." Mem uttered as he observe the area.

"Let's hope that this won't get more rough and scary." Evi stated as they pass by a forming dark clouds.

Ophir led the team as they ventured toward the location given by Yodh.

"Yodh mentioned that we need to cross over and passed beyond the last curtain of fall within the Kingdom." Ain stated.

"That is because this Kingdom had a barrier. Our late grandmother put on her blood as a barrier, as you can see qe have that same gift." Cyprus explained as he eyed Ophir.

"This is awkward, I cant help but be confused. I am just a young single man with more than two grandchildren." Nevi commented as to which Ophir agreed.

"At least someone will no longer be jealous." Ophir whispered.

Lehi glared at her husband who pretended not to see it.

The desolate forest looked eerie when they landed.

"This place is spooky." Hexel said as he prepared to unsheath his sword.

"I can hear it." Ophir warned as he positioned himself.

Lehi had her comb transferred into a bow. Cyprus calmly stood and Nevi just lean on the nearest tree.

It was swift and edgy but the bats flee toward them. Ain and Hexel screamed when the black winged creature passed them like a plaque. Lehi and Nevi can't help but laugh at the scaredy duo. The bats were like a wind the forest got silent but when the moon started to appear. The whole forest got noisy and dangerous.

"We need a refuge from this wild life or else we will become a satisfying meal for this creatures." Cyprus raised.

"I couldn't agree more. Let us move as one and carefully." Ophir added.

Yet their millimetre walk got interrupted when the sleeping tree under the sun became a weapon by the moon's reign.

The trees started to attack and tie each person. Hexel was speedy enough to slice the thorny vine. Lehi guarded herself with her sharp and enlarged comb as Ain crushed the little oak he changed.

"This is insane, even the trees won't accomodate us." Nevi remarked as he punch one oak in pieces.

Their endless charade continued till dawn. The night sky faded as the chilly air fall down on the ground. Hexel and Nevi wiped their sweat as Ophir and Ain panted. Cyprus and Lehi sat on the ground after the night long enemy gleaning.

"I've never fought this long. I can't believe that I hadn't sleep a wink." Cyprus sighed.

Lehi's stomach grumbled in agreement.

Nevi and Ain started to unpacked their meal and decided.

"Let's settle with this for now. I don't think it is safer for us to eat some thing from here.

The rough sail had them landed safely at Kisiena when Kish and Sienna heared the situation they can't bat an eye.

Lila looked more stable but her eyes remain shut.

"We need to keep you guys in this state not unless Lila show a sign of waking up." Evi warned.

Eyel and Sage started to alert the villagers to be prepared and be evacuated at the temple. The discussion was short because the people were humble enough to obey them. The sun embarks another ending when the last household closed the gate. Kish can tell that Lila's condition is getting worst from her soul. Her state had Kiel mentally tormented as Urchin can't help but have his own train of thoughts be in negative boarding.
