168 Chapter 168: Overtook in Plains

Resh asked Ophir, Lila, Urchin and Nevi to marched in circle within the plain they are in. It's been hours since they strated marching out but nothing productive happened. In the meanwhile, Mem was scolding his old man for dragging him along to do the household chores.

Resh invited them to their villa and had them march in steps since dawn.

Urchin started to be grumpy. He moved and stamp his feet. His chubby cheeks flapped as he approach Resh and said.

"Teacher I am hungry."

Resh laughed and replied.

"I thought no one would ask me to stop this none sense."

Nevi, Lila and Ophir stopped and glared at Resh who disappeared with Urchin.

"I always have this thought that he nonchalantly acts but after seeing him from that incident. I can say this helps us grow." Ophir commented.

"It pisses me that I cannot even disagree." Nevi followed up.

Lila just wiped her sweat and followed suit behind the two. Lila recalled how Natalina became the temporary host of the queen's palace. Lila recalled the envy stares Natalina was giving. Lila can understand how she felt.

Lehi and Hexel were send out by Cyrus to meet their mysterious teacher.

Ain and Kiel were having a hard time maintaining there knee caps on the cold ground.

Cyrus sternly secured their joints and had Cyrus to have their blood be slowed down to overflow as they punch upward.

Natalina pushed her crib and checked the list of annual feast that happened with the nobles. Natalina can now relate how her aunt would always complain how bad it was to wear your facade all day. Most of the royal and nobles would just waste their time chatting and boasting. Natalina wished that time would go faster for her to get home and tend her children.

"The Earl's daughter, How are you?"

A woman with glamorous garment and jewelries spoke.

"I am well and good." Natalina politely answered.

"It's tiring to fake a smile all day isn't it?"

the woman bluntly spoke.

"I guess I don't need to give you one." Natalina stated.

The woman chuckled at her and said.

"You surely got that side from Gatsby."

Natalina's eyes widen and asked.

"You must be my father's aquintance."

The woman in her hat and viel bowed her head and said.

"I am your father and husband's friend. My name is Dorothy Yue."

Natalina greeted her and asked her if she would like a carriage toward their household but Dorthy pointed that she wants to meet Cyprus.

Cyprus dismissed the two by the second hand of the clock strike for another hour.

Kiel and Ain remained on the floor as Cyprus exited the room. Natalina meet him by the hallway to escort Dorothy but it surprised her to see how the two comfortably chatted. Natalina easily felt jealous and insecure whenever a woman would come and visit Cyprus. Especially those women who were part of his past that is unknown to her rear.

The dinner went well with Natalina ignoring her emotions and acting mature but it was harder than she imagined. Natalina flashed her famous smile at the table but she exited the hosting after she showed her courtesy. She wanted Cyprus to notice her emotions and silent pleas but he is oblivious and was too immersed with his conversation toward Dorothy and Gatsby.

Evi noticed how Natalina tried to hide her uncomfortable feelings. Evi helped her put the kids in sleep. Evi know how bad it was to confine her feelings.

"You know our history but my marraige life had another story."

Evi stated and continued as she lead Natalina to sit with her by the edge of the bed.

"It was like a loop of issues that we always dealt with. I would always get jealous everytime a woman from his past reappears. Maybe because that person know a huge side of him that I could never visit."

Natalina suddenly tears up and said.

"I feel like every time a woman from his past appears, My role got paused and I automatically just became part of the background and would eventually fade out with the curtain call."

Evi rubbed her back and pulled her into a hug and confessed.

"But you feel fine with me, I mean I am part of his past. Way bigger part than the others."

Natalina realised that she have a point and remained speechless as she tried to reason out.

"Maybe because you already have your own family plus your not clingy."

Evi giggled and stated.

"You remind me of my younger self especially when we just got married. But you know what? We, women have this instinct if that woman is safe or not."

Natalina blinked her eyes and stared at Evi.

"Your words does make sense."

Evi gave her a friendly pat and said.

"Go and find out your self. But whatever your going to witness. Hear your husband first and recall your ground.

You are his present and future."

Lehi and Hexel already sent Sienna to Kisiena but their master is still no where to be found. Hexel recommended that they should build a tent for safety measure. Lehi silently complied.

Lehi and Ophir never exchange any sweet gesture nor words since then.

Lehi badly wanted to hug and comfort him but she knew it's not something that he needed at the moment. Ophir's mourning face for Hudah remained fresh in her mind.

Resh appointed Nevi, Ophir and Urchin to climb up the falls with bare hands. Lila was task in a different area of the falls. She is at the top and was asked to jump from their thirteen times. Nevi fell for the fourth time as Urchin surprisingly speed up to pass the two. Ever since Urchin turned five his ability and gift were getting polished and horned. Thanks to Cyprus they exactly list down his correct birthday. That revealed his true age of five by this year. Ophir trembles because the water reminds him of Hudah. Ophir thought that Lehi was his first love but he just forgot what he burried deep within his shell.
