1 Ch 1: Elope

To lose themselves from the mass searching , Dan and Calantha hand in hand strode into the deep forest.

" There is a portal a few walks from here, don't let go of my hand, Flower."

" Ummm." she nodded with a worried face.

Just a few steps ahead near an old oak tree , there was a cave covered in vines. If someone had gone there for the first time, they wouldn't have noticed the cave as the vines camouflaged it without leaving a clue about the existence of the cave.

Dan holding her hand, lead her inside the cave where they saw a small portal, small enough for them to crawl in order to pass the portal.

" You go first, I'll come behind you."

One by one, they went through the portal leading them into a corner of a large tower.

It was none other than the Lost Tower. It was a place where many traders, mercenaries and mages live. And Dan was the sole owner of the Lost tower.

Inside the tower, are people selling foods, clothes, jewels and all sorts of things. A place where everyone was equal and protected each other as a kin.

Dan holding her hand again, said, " For now, we should rest. It's safe as long as we are here."

She nodded and followed him.

As they were walking, a guy came up and said, " Master Dan, I was informed that you would arrive today. What should I arrange?"

"Niel, arrange a room for us. And make sure to inform our people to come to the tower as soon as possible and close all the portals. I brought Flower, so anytime, they might try to reach here to take her away."

"I...I understand." said Niel and went away.

"Let's wait for him for a while. Sit here."

Dan let her sit on the wooden stool which was placed in front of the storeroom. Calantha without a word sat quietly fidgeting her thumbs on top of each other. Being shocked and worried, she kept quiet and looked down.

Dan saw her and placed his hands on her shoulders, " Flower, are you scared?"

"..just...just a little."

He reached out for her hands and squeezed them with both his hands," You are fine as long as you are with me. No one can harm you here."

She nodded and stared at him as if saying that she understood.

Meanwhile, a lady came," Sir Dan, it's an honour that you came back. As told by Sir Niel, I have prepared the room. This way, please"

Dan held her hand again and walked behind the maid leading the way.

It was a room near the top of the tower, spacious and filled with a large bed , a sofa , study table and Two chairs.

" As usual bring the reports and some food for dinner."

"As you wish." said the maid and left.

It was a hectic day. They didn't realise that it was already dawn. He placed a fire spell and lit the candles in the room.

"Flower, come here." he called her patting on the bed.

She walked towards the bed without any words and sat there.

Dan moved near her and stroking her messy short hair, he said," Flower, we basically ran away together so now, this is our home. I took you away from your maiden home and brought you here in a place where you have never been to before. If you hate staying here, do tell me. Also if you wanna go away from me , don't be afraid to tell me."

Calantha softly placed her right hand on top of his chest and shifting her eyes to look at him, she said," Dan.....I ...I don't hate it here. I don't hate being with you. "

Dan' s lips curved into a sweet smile, " You don't know what you have done to me. My dear Calantha."
