1 Prologue: What We Know

Sometimes we all want to escape to another reality. To somewhere where we can feel like ourselves, or somewhere that we can do what we want, but knowing that we can't have this we tend to look for other options. How long do we have to keep searching until we find a solution...

5... knowing how my life was before made me rethink a lot of times when I just wanted to escape. Everything that I have done in the past has caused me to be this person in the present, and I regret it. I think to myself that maybe... Somehow I will be able to bring myself to be normal again. To actually have fun and believe that everything isn't as bad as it seems...

4... but maybe it is. Maybe no one can save me from this person that I have become. I have stop myself so many times from doing the wrong thing because I wanted to protect someone that wasn't myself. I wanted to protect her. My little sister, because I knew that if I wouldn't have been there for her, then she wouldn't have been in this world..

3... but now no one is here for me and every time I think back to the car crash... I blame myself. I have those nightmares every night... Of Mylee... of my little sister, of him... Why did he have to be there on that day. I was so lucky that he survived... but what happened to him hurt me more than anything. And what happened to Mylee I felt like it was my fault...

2... I reach for the door as my vision blackened around me... But I heard a light knock on the other side..

"Hello.." I managed to whisper out.

"Please... open the door!!! Help me out!!" I heard the voice on the other side..

It sounded like Mylee. Could it really truly be her? I reach for the handle but it was ice cold. So cold that when I touched it it burned me. But if it was her I had to let her in... I twisted it and on the other side there she was.. dead.

1... my eyes bolted open. I started choking, water filled my lungs. I looked around me. Water. Water everywhere and I couldn't swim up. I pushed harder and harder... I started seeing the light. So... Close... I reach the top and took in a deep breath but something dragged me down... And for all I knew... That was my last breath.
