"All sorted. The fact Marcus messaged him asking him to meet makes it look like it was him. No one has seen him since the night before, so it looks like he has run. Mr. Cortez deleted any messages about Avalyn and us, so nothing is linking him to here or Avalyn either. Mark told them the story you said. Mr Cortez got out of the car to smoke, he was leaning through the window complaining Marcus was late, and then he heard the shot and saw Mr Cortez fall to the floor. Any evidence that might have led back to you has been removed." Ian nods, that is something then.

"You need to pick a name for the mutt." Emily laughs, picking up the puppy.

"Far from a mutt, but okay." He glances around again; he needs to speak to her about Oliver.

"Oliver came around tonight." Emily nods smiling.
