1 Prologue (Pre-registered of Cards)(Improved flow)
My name is lordol, aged 27 years old currently studying systems at University. During my free time, I often research strange subjects. As an example of this is I spent months developing the idea of stacking different materials. To make new stuff like a variety of Armour from composite materials. Another time I looked into psychic powers, I can't get the find any goal evidence to its existence yet. I also have looked into the field of biology with the end result in mind. Thus searching for ways to run in a way that can reduce air resistance. This is only the scratching the surface of what I have looked into and innovated.
I generally dislike the activities most people my age tend to enjoy since I was young because I tend to burn myself out . While my peers play sports and go out clubbing or mere street fighting. I prefer to stay at home, locked in my room. Sounds like a classic oddball. Despite my self-induced seclusion, my charitable deeds and my undeniable charisma that draw people and grant me some semblance of social life were most people like me have none. Somehow I seem to dislike having too much contract with them. Once they touch me, I have an intent to escape or preventing people from touching me

Gathering? Clubbing? Football? No way! I'm tired of it, why do people insist on inviting me all these events? Can't they understand that I don't enjoy it, that I am left exhausted and feeling like crap?

Back to reality now that the fuse on my internal rant has fizzled out.
"Bleep, bleep, bleep" I wake up from my bed and look at the clock ... I have half an hour before I need to arrive at the university. Jumping out of bed and tossing on some clothes, I grab a slice of bread. Stuffing it down my throat before grabbing my bag and rushing to the bus stop. Upon reaching the bus stop I notice that usual blue and white collars workers crowd around each other like a big rice ball. Creating a long queue for the bus. What I'd give to have a day with no one pushing me.
Getting shoved around like I'm in a pinball machine I make my way onto the bus, showing the bus driver my bus pass. I try to get a seat on the crowded bus to fury I can't manage to get a seat. Not a single fucking person will move their bags out of the seat next to them. The bastard won't even spare a single seat. Suddenly my head starts feeling dizzy then...
"BANG! BANG! BANG!"
"What the fuck was that! Where am I and what is this place?" I shout.

As the speaker starts to relay the message. There are people screaming and shouting like mad in the background.
Now I find myself lying in a corner of the dark room. There is a wooden table painted black with a single, blinking lamp at the edge.
Once I heard of pre-registered of the game, I get myself hyped up as I love to have a pre-registered game. To have a better start off the normal players. I pre-registered many games even through most of them I did not play them. I do not play through the game as it is getting boring or lame as it is a cash-grabbing game in the end.
Getting up I walk over and take a closer look. A candy with a purple wrapper and white letter with black capitalised writing lay on the table illuminated by the blinking lamp.

Due to the surreal situation and the Alice in Wonderland type scenario. I cave in and pursue my curiosity and eat the candy, the candy tasted like it is out of this world, my body starts to heat up a bit.
Then, three pieces of paper appear out of nowhere. The light starts to lighten itself and become less blinking.

THOSE PAPER ARE CHOICES THAT YOU GET BEFORE ENTERING THE THE GAME.
RED = A RANDOM WEAPON.
BLUE = A RANDOM EQUIPMENT.
YELLOW = A RANDOM ITEM.
I read the letter, over and over again. Wondering if there are any indicators that this is a trap or any clue on how the magic hat changed the lettering works. Despite reading the letter with a discerning eye. I have checked and find that there are no visible changes to the letter. except the fact that the writing has completely changed. I have been given the choice of choosing between one out of three pieces of paper. What fucking luck, who knows the effects of picking a piece of paper will have on my chances. As I am diving into the unknown a good starting item might make all the difference over any possible competition.
The red paper is a weapon to be chosen by choice: Depending on the technology this could range from a rocket launcher to a stone-tipped spear.
Blue paper is for equipment: I assume this ranges from clothes to armour.
The yellow paper is for items: Depending again on the technology this could range from a phone to a health potion.
The lack of any detail or explanation on what I will be facing leads me to think that having a weapon might be the best choice. If I am being hunted right from the get-go having a weapon to defend myself will be necessary or if I am hunting I will also need a weapon.
I hope that I can get a ranged weapon, finding a melee weapon from my experience is easy while a decent ranged weapon is far more difficult. As my life might be on the line staying at a distance would be preferable. My country has laws that banned guns and etc. Making it an insane difficulty of obtaining one unless you are from the army.
While getting a weapon that needs ammo to have their cons too, as they need a constant refill and checks to make sure that you do not run out of it. Range weapons have their pro which is its range, as it gives the user to have possible of attacking their target without the target counterattacking them. But normally in the type of game have balances which make range weapons from having a really long cooldown or low damage, or even negative traits given to the user. Also, apart from to take notice of is the cost of ammo. The cost can really eat up a large part of your income which makes you less well equipped than other people.
For the rest of the choices, equipment(blue) is also important as it provides defence, comfort, and protection. Yet, nice shoes won't save you from a mob's club. The same goes for any item (yellow) while they could have special effects seems like a gamble as it could just pop out junk which is worthless.
I pick up the red paper then I shout "Red." My voice breaking as the worry worms away at my resolve.
A shining light appears from the cards obscuring my sight. The cards are now all red with differing stripes stretching from the top left corner the bottom right.
The first card has a blue stripe flipping it reveals the information and stats of the weapon the card contains.
Name: Electric Sabre (melee type)
Description: A sabre has been combined with a cheap circuit board made by an unknown manufacturer which allow the blade to discharge electric volts to zap at slashed targets. It comes with a transformation USB cable that can be used as a plug.
Damage: 3-5 + 1 (+0.5 damage per sec, max damage = +5 if activated)
Power: 80%
Effects: Charging enable to drain power from batteries and other power supplies to increase its power
The secondary effect from charging is turned on for 10 seconds(max) without slashing will build up power for a Mega Slash
Zapping enable 5% of numbing or stunning the target (resistant depending on the target)
Putting down the first card I pick up the second card which has three stripes coloured grey, blue and red within the one stripe. Flipping it reveals…
Name: Machine shotgun
Damage: Ammo +10 (75% damage for missable targets)
Area: A fan like AOE damage or less spread for 10% of +5 bonus damage)
Description: A weapon in the past designed by you know who which is a combination of rifle, shotgun, heavy machine gun. This combination of weapons into one comes with 100 12x usage shells.
Effects: Upgradeable, Customizable, Raging Heart requires a skill called raging rage to unlock its effect, overheated shots (a passive skill that +5% of burning effects when the gun is overheating).
I feel a connection and a desire to wield such a weapon. The utility of the combination to speaks to my heart. The nostalgia awakes, prompting memories of the hours I spent on rail shooter arcade games. Away from the demands and cruel mocking of the other kids, I slew hordes terrorists and zombies.
It is time to see what the last card can do. The third card has a white stripe.
Name: Seeker Pleaser
Damage:5 (-1 damage per 5 squares or dodge)
Description: A homing weapon that only uses up mana for firing. Most cost efficient and effective weapon in its rarity.
Effect: Homes onto a target that is within 20 squares, Mana based ammo use mana as ammo cost efficient indeed.
From the moment I read the second card, I had already chosen the machine shotgun.
"Machine shotgun, the second card" I speak my voice clear and sure as I pick up the second card. The cards disappear then reappear on the table and the writing on the letter has once again changed.
GOOD JOB IT IS TIME FOR STATS AND TRAITS SELECTION
THE SAME RULES AS BEFORE
Red= game based simple stats like your RPG (strength, dexterity, intellect, luck)
Yellow= A decrease in chances to get traits and skills but an increase in stats
Blue= lower stats but more traits and skills
Normal players are auto-selected on red.
Red is the path for normal people, while Yellow is for people who want to have a so-called focus build, Blue I really don't know what it is in for me but one thing for sure that is it is going to be fun.
I pick the blue piece of paper.
"BOOM BOOM BOOM" the letter exploded into a small piece of paper. (no one knows why letter exploded for no reason)

Think of stats in your mind and stats window will appear for view purpose
Think of stats again to close it
if you are done
say exit selection
tutorial quest will appear once after the game start operation meanwhile enjoy your pre-register of the game.
Note that almost everyone has a tutorial quest, most of them will try to complete as it is the easiest quest that almost requires no skills except accepting the quest which for speed up time for people to settle down once and support those who really need help.
There will be a bonus item for you after the tutorial quest.
I think it is just some RPG game or something as I just love to pre-register the games, quests? I guess maybe there is monsters, items and etc nevermind about that, I check my status, no it is not working, think stats stats stats, there is something pop up and down in my mind, maybe I am thinking too fast, after a few minutes of trying, it doesn't work as the window keep flicking.... okay slowly ..... think ...S....T...A.....T.....S....

Okay, that is pretty 3D np 5D based game I guess, I guess I have to wait for its official game released, one thing it really bothers me that is why it reflects so close to myself real life situation. Who knows maybe it is just a game as I think loudly in my mind "exit"
Back to reality' Wow that is a way exotic dream that I truly hope it is real but too bad it is a just a dream of a game" at that time, it is just a casual thought because of that thought, my future has been changed for better or worse...
Wait a minute, this is the stop to the uni if I miss on alighting the bus stop, I need to walk another 2 to 3 kilometres if I alight on the next bus stop, ..... wait for me to alight and people stop blocking my way...
In the end I end up alighting on the next stop,... those people cant them be more considerate and let people who want to alight, people just want to block those who alight first, causing people to stay there.....pack up like a riceball which is hard for people to alight, as people alight slower = bus trip duration get longer as more time spent on waiting for the passengers to alight before more people aboard the bus.
After a long walk to uni, I rest for a while before going to the class, meanwhile some random couple say "have you seen the TV, they say more rocks come to earth and shooting stars showers on 2 to 3 days, let don't miss it", "let meet at XXXXX on look at the shooting stars" ....
I hear a lot of people keep been chatting about the Moon going to touch the Sun or news that is something like that anyway I don't care about it.
If not all those boring news, it is just increase of tax and fees and you know milking the citizens for money even though they are way richer than normal people or secretly place cameras everywhere for the safety reasons.
For previous 5 to 10 years, the news keeps reporting strange events about the Sun and Moon, it seems like people are madly in love in space I just don't get it what is so interesting about Moon intersect the Sun. Maybe people want to get away from the reality that taxes keep increasing for no shit reasons, so they work like mad and they only barely live on as a human. To me, what is the point of being interested in those events? Can that events give me powers? even it could can it provide me with the power to beat all those with other power? Can it change my life for better forever? Do that event make me always way better than others even the pool in all their powers, wealth, strength and etc?
The answer is NO, no way it can even make me better 1/10 of what I wanted, changes are happening but they are not 100% happening just to benefit me ... boring ... too bad this morning is just a dream, sadly it is a dream of a game and no way I will go to get to play with it.

After 3 days since the strange dream, I am wondering what the dream from 3 days ago is a dream happen just because I am too tired from last week project. Within these 3 days, news has been making a big fuss about the new moon is coming and it will affect on how we are going to live in, due to so-called improvement in tech that is the reason why people get to know more about space and their discover.... will be interesting for most of the people.
On other news, there are a sudden increase of people going mad or doing strange things like an example increase in number of cults, the mass just cut themselves out for no reason, maybe they are infected by Madman disease (MMD), a variety of the most popular of mad cow disease that the cows love the most, this is the theory of what current people are getting.
(tips MMD is a theory that is made out by Our MC, there is no MMD exist in this world )
