8 Chapter 8 - Linda at home

Linda was a little disheartened. She wondered why she had to go home, when her parents knew she had already made plans to go to Setsu's house weeks ago.

She thought they were mean, telling her to go back just when she wanted to watch more of the dungeon, but now she had to go home.

She arrived home, her parents, Michelle and Raymond Moore were waiting for her at the dining table. She sat down and figured she wouldn't want to start a fight, so she just ate her dinner glumly.

Her mother was 41 years old, with long blonde hair and brown eyes. She wore fancy clothes with jewelry and her make up was done primly.

Her father was her college sweetheart, so their age was basically thesame. He had a fit body, from playing soccer when he was younger and now he kept fit by going to the gym. He was tall and wore a suit, having just come from work just like her mother. Her father had blue eyes and dirty blonde hair.

Linda looked a lot like a younger version of her mother, just that her eyes were blue and she didn't wear jewelry. She didn't like it as she thought it made her look snobbish.

Dinner was about done with, and her parents got ready to talk.

"Linda, I know you wanted to play with your friend, but we decided to have you come home for a reason." Her mother said.

"Yes, we are sorry we had to pull you away from there, but we thought the reason was good enough. You're doing very well in school, so we thought we should reward you. We have a little surprise in the garage for you."

"Really? But why did you have to make it today? I was really looking forward to staying there and playing. Now I'll miss it, and..."

"Now calm down Linda. Come, let's take a look in the garage before you continue. Once you start talking you tend to keep going until our ears fall off."

They made their way to the garage, and Linda noticed a box. Her eyes widened and she got totally excited.

"You got it?! I thought it would only arrive in two days! Oh, now I won't fall behind, I've got so much to do! I have to start it all up so it starts progressing on it's own."

"All right honey, let's get started. Your table has been installed in the game room upstairs, so get going."

"Thank you so much, I love you!"

Linda dashed up the stairs with her package in hands, her father yelling at her not to run in the house. She reached the room in just a few moments.

Ripping open the package, Linda carefully handles the Tabletop Dungeon core and puts it in the slot. The table changed into a sandbox and the AI asked her for her information and fingerprint.

Linda did what was necessary and the table started updating as well! She didn't think Setsu's parents would get her table a fairy as well!

Her parents came into the room, and smiled when they saw her.

"Mr. And Mrs. Young helped us getting the Tabletop Dungeon core early. They probably thought their daughter needed a rival and friend on thesame level to play with. They know you two have been best friends since you first met since about preschool, and never separated. So you better make sure to thank them when you get back to their place."

"I so will! I'm gonna get started now, I have to catch up!"

Linda started thesame as Setsu, making the world 400 km squared but she went for a big lake in stead of a long river. She respawning mice and rabbits, added wolves but no bears and added eagles and snakes.

"Fairy, what's your name? Sorry I was so busy, I really needed to catch up before I got distracted."

"Sun is Sun! Sun likes watching you be so energetic! Next time, let me play too okay? Sun wants to play with the world as well."

"Are you younger than Lily? You sound a little immature, you're cute though."

"Yes, Lily is the big sister. Sun is the little sister."

"Can you do the plants for me, Sun? I don't understand all those latin names sadly."

"All right, Sun gets to play!"

"Well, let's not call it playing all right? We need to do this seriously, otherwise Lily is gonna be way too far ahead."

"Oh! Then Sun needs to be serious! Sun has never won against Lily, so I need to try harder!"

"Yep, let's try our best to beat them!"
