1 The Encounter

The day was almost over. Birds flying home to their nests to meet their families unknown. A cry was heard. Unexpectedly it was mine.I had just recently run away from the Sky Camp. This was a place where the humans still left on Earth called home... except for me. Life was tough, rough and there was always an inevitable struggle for survival everyday.

My mom had just gone out with a set of others to 'acquire' fire wood and never came back. I had always looked for a chance to leave camp... explore the world and stuff....you know what I mean. Suddenly after leaving the camp with no annoying adults or Ethan stalking me I get followed by a new stalker. I decide to take to my heels but I was immediately overshadowed by it. An Android that stood nine feet tall and blood lusted. It reeked of fresh blood. so scared to run I stood

there outwardly confident but dead on the inside. It must have perceived that as a challenge. Probably why I'm on deaths door now blood flowing down my soft cheeks from my head. I was hit hard by the metallic bully and was on the floor "my life is ended too quick should have told Ethan I loved him, is mom dead, which way is to camp" these thoughts were running through my mind like lighting through the skies. paralyzed from fear I see a sword Pierce it's metallic skin like paper. It was the first time I saw a sword Pierce through like that. it collapsed with a man behind pulling out his sword. A man Six feet ...umm two or three I think. the sword was his body length his eyes where as dark if not darker than the abyss. he didn't look like someone from the camp. "this meant he was from the outside world!!" I thought. But for someone who lived in the endtimes out Sky Camp his body was noticably fit and little bit muscular. No scars whatsoever. "What's your name" he asked

"Ariadne". His eyes and mine met. It looked as if he wanted to fulfill a promise but he just can't. He was about leaving when I asked " where are going sir?, You should head to camp it's much safer there"

"which way to camp?"

" Through the woods, down the valley the rivers mouth." I replied politely.

He smiled revealing his Strangely white teeth. I was shocked for a moment because it was almost as if he wasn't leaving in the Armageddon the world faced presently."Might I request you lead me to it?" "sure follow me sir". I led him to the path which I directed him and as annoying as it was I couldn't stay mad at him for reasons well known to me.

We reached camp at dusk. My mom had already returned and was being appreciated by the high ranking officials, as she was the only one to make it back alive. The had all died from Android attacks. I could see her face filled with horror from seeing how Androids tore up her friends. It was probably the best time to approach and console."Mom I'm so sorry. there was nothing you could do at that moment in time". "yeah I know. who is this?" she said referring to the stranger standing beside me." oh yeah. Mom meet...."
