31 chapter 7
On the deserted street of Downtown Macon.
Leonard and Glenn were sneaking quietly avoiding the "sleeping" walker they encounter along the way, actually, Glenn made sure that they both avoid any corpse they encounter like the plague, they also took some time to search through the wrecked vehicles to look for some supplies or just anything that's useful.
Leonard founded a toolbox inside one of the vans that they searched, he found quite some useful weapons inside of the toolbox, a claw hammer, a saw and a wrench.
"Good enough to bash some heads," Leonard commented as he picked up the claw hammer.
The 2 of them then continued to sneak around Downtown Macon and through many detours and taking sketchy shortcuts, they finally reached a Motel down in Peachtree
It was there that Glenn and Leonard heard the cry of a woman from one of the motel room.
"You heard that?" Glenn asked Leonard.
"Yeah, sound like the sound of a woman crying, it's up there." he then pointed at the very last room of the motel, where 2 walkers were body slamming themselves at the door.
"What do you want to do?" Leonard asked the Asian man.
"Help her obviously, we can't just leave her in there," he told Leonard.
"....why do I felt that there's an ulterior motive..?" Leonard glance at Glenn.
"..." Glenn just blushed "it's just your imagination" Glenn replied in a quiet tone.
"Alright, let rescue her then, I shall help you become that knight in shining armor rescuing a damsel in distress.." he gave the Asian man a thumb up.
He then stood up and walk toward a walker that has it back turned away from him.
"Get down! Are you crazy! They will notice you." Glenn whispered
However, Leonard paid a deaf ear to Glenn warning and bashed one on the head with his claw hammer.
*Thud the walker fell down and hit the pavement with it brain matters splatter everywhere.
"Rawwrrr" "rawwrrr" "rrrraarrrr" the other 6 walkers now notice Glenn and Leonard and began to limp toward them while moaning.
"Oh shit, we need to go!" Glenn called out for Leonard.
"Nah, we'll be fine." *smack the mighty claw hammer has once again claimed another undead victim.
"These things are dumb and slow, as long as you're not surrounded and they're not grabbing a hold of you, killing them won't be that much of a problem, just need a good bashing on here." he pointed at his head.
'Rrroooorrrrr" a walker limping from behind the RV moved toward Leonard.
*smack but once again, it too perished.
"See?" he pointed out to Glenn.
Leonard quickly made short work of the one on the ground while the last 2 that was slamming themselves at the motel room door was currently leaning on the railing.
"You want to practice with them?" Leonard asked Glenn as he pointed at the last 2 walkers.
But Glenn just shook his head while gulping down a mouthful of his own saliva.
"Ok fine then, just hold this." he gave Glenn his bloody claw hammer and pick up the fire ax that was on the wall.
"Alright, let finish this and get back to the other." Leonard climbed the stair to the second floor of the motel where the last 2 walkers reside.
They notice him and once again headed in his direction.
*Chop he cracked open the skull of the first one that was close enough to him.
*Slam, next he decapitates the last one by slamming it onto the wall with the ax.
"Done, go be the knight in shining armor, I'll just watch on the side," he told Glenn.
Glenn just nodded and head toward the crying sound.
"Hello? We're here to help." Glenn knocked on the door.
"Please, just go away!" however the voice inside begged them to leave.
Glenn then looks at Leonard, however then just pointed at the hammer on Glenn's hand and then the door.
"If you open up, we can take you somewhere safer. We have a group in town." Leonard then chimed in.
"No no no please!" she called out desperately "She's in trouble!" Glenn called out.
"Miss! We're breaking in!" Leonard walked toward the door and raised his ax and attempt to break it open.
*crash he chopped through the wood plank that barricades the door.
He then kicked the door.
*crash- he could hear the bolt loosen, so he prepare to sent another kick to break it out, however.
"Stop, just stop. I'm coming out." the woman said.
The woman opens the door and walked out while holding the side of her waist.
Her skin was sickly pale.
"You're hurt," Glenn told her.
"I said stay away…." she told Glenn and Leonard.
Leonard raised his brow as he saw the wound. "Bitten?" he asked.
"It's too late for any help now…" she said.
"I told you. I said go away, I'm bitten. But you wouldn't just leave." she yelled.
"Calm down lady, I might be able to help," Leonard told her - which was true since he does have a few vials of healing tonic that needed to be tested on him.
