150 chapter 3

When the light of the teleportation formation enveloped the two of them, they were instantaneously vanished from the Crossroad of Worlds, in the middle of the busy street- however, no one seems to really to care that much, because this was all too- a normal occurrence within the dimension itself.

Traveler of worlds come and go every now and then, nothing too special- just most choose to stay for a longer period of time as they had the capital for it.

However, it seems like one person took a peculiar interest in Leonard group.

"That was...quite interesting...I never thought that he's someone from the same world as I am...hmm, let see how he will turn out, will he be like all the rest and perished due to being foolish- or become a pinnacle being of the multiverse?...hmm let mess with them a bit." the masked figure smirked before vanished from thin air.

Flashback a week before Leonard and Sachi returned.

Unknown time, Unknown Location, down south of the Human Land.

Near the border of the Evergreen kingdom.

Within the vast grassy plain of the southern land, where Nomadic tribes of human and their livestock roamed and sometimes compete against one another in brutal conflict for either resource or just reduced competition on the open grassland.

A man was riding frantically on a lean horse was racing through the camp of one of the smaller tribe that exists in the vast plain, his face was that of sheer terror- it was as if he had seen a ghost, when he reached the largest tent of the camp itself, a youngster immediately rushed out to greet him, however he had no time for that.

"Ro! The Gray-Tooth are here! Quickly inform the chief! We need to move now!"

"What?! The Gray-Tooth? Here?!" the youngster was shocked before quickly snapped out of it and rushed back inside- where a group of old men and women are gathered.

They were the elders of the tribe.

"Is it about the Gray-Tooth?" the old woman who sat in the middle of all the other elders was the first to spoke up, using her aged voice.

"Yes it is what my cousin told me, great matriarch!" the youngster quickly replied to the old woman who sat at the center of the group.

"Hmm...please, inform the youngsters, and the women to escape, we will fight with them here and now...I don't want our future to get caught in between this conflict...at least… give them some hope toward the future." the Matriarch informed the council of elders.

"Yes...Matriarch, I will go and gather our strong men to buy as much time as possible for the women and children to escape." one of the elders stood up and informed the old matriarch before heading out of the tent.

"Ro...go and evacuate with everyone else…" the old Matriarch told the youngster name Ro, to go ahead and leave with the group of women and children.

"No! Grandmother- I will not go! I want to stay and fight with everyone else!" the youngster fiercely retaliated after listening to his grandmother, the matriarch of the tribe words.

"You have barely reached the age for holding the spear and bared our tribe emblem in a battle, go- now, this is an order from the tribe matriarch!" the old woman sharply reprimanded her grandson for his foolish behavior.

It was then that a man, covered with wounds from head to toe, struggling to kept his conscious as he limped into the tent- seeing this Ro quickly rushed over to the wounded man and help him up as the man now already lose most of his motor function due to blood loss.

"Matriarch...they're…here...quickly...escape!" those were the man last word.

It was then that the council of elders finally heard the loud commotion outside, caused by people screaming and running for their very life while being chased down by nomadic warriors on horseback, wearing the mask of a wolf baring its fangs.

"Kill! Take only the young women! Kill the rest!" the one who was wearing a decorated wolf skull mask howled to his subordinates as he charged through the camp and swinging his crude machete-like blade killing the member of Ro tribe.

"Those bastards!" Ro was enraged as he watched his friends and close tribe members being brutally butchered right in front of his eyes, he wanted to charge out and start helping their warrior kill these bastards- but his own grandmother stopped him.

"Ro...you have a more important duty! Go LEAD the children and other helpless tribe member and run!" she told him and then took off the necklace that she wore around her neck for ages, the necklace has a carving of their tribe emblem, a red Eagle.

"Grandmother- why…" Ro looked at his grandmother while having tears running down both of his eyes as he accepted the emblem onto himself.

"We know that it is likely that most if not all of us old bones here won't live much longer...it is time for the youngster to lead...this was the reason I gathered every elder here today, to begin with...Ro, lead our people to prosperity, let us old folk build that foundation for you." she looked at him with a warm smile on her face.

The other elders also had the same peaceful expression as that of the old matriarch.

"Lead the Red Eagle tribe on! Alright, elders...I think it is time for us to show ourselves...I say we try to kill off as many of them as possible and buy time for the young patriarch to lead our children and grandchildren to safety!" the hot-blooded old man with a face full of scar declared.

"Just remember to avenge us when the tribe is strong enough, alright?" an old woman- who was Ro Great aunt pat him on the shoulder before she followed the hot-blooded elder and head off, possibly to their death.

"With that done and said, go- I'm sure your third great uncle has already gathered a group of survivor and waiting for you on the other side of the camp, he will be with you and help guide you." his grandmother told him before she followed everyone else.

"Everyone…" Ro's eyes were now red due to the excessive crying, he gritted his teeth before cutting through the tent to the other side and ran with all his speed to the other side of the camp, where he could see his third great uncle, along with a small band of warrior and a number of young children's, widows and women's waiting for him.

"You're here, young patriarch." his third great uncle beckoned him before giving the order to the warrior help escorted the group of refugee to the other direction, always from the camp.

Occasionally, some of them turned their head back and have one last look at a place that once their home, now- ruined and set ablaze by the Gray-Tooth tribe of barbarian.

"Gray-Tooth...I swear, the day that I- Ro of the Red Eagle tribe returned, it will be your END!" Ro's eyes were red as he donned on the necklace the signified him as the chief/patriarch of the tribe and declared with a vengeful tone of voice.

Flashback end- back to the present.

Within the wormhole of space, time and reality- the journey was quite peaceful for Leonard and Sachi, nothing unfortunate has happened so far- good things don't last for long.

[Zzzz!! Space, time and reality corruption has been detected! Warning warning!]

"...oh you gotta be shitting with me…SHIT!!!!" Leonard quickly grab ahold of Sachi before the tunnel that they were traveling through began to shake violently and they were knocked off course into the moving space, time reality rift just a moment before they reached the other side of the light.
