102 chapter 3

After the trio spent hours bringing these vile boars close to extinction, the three of them sat down on one of the floating islands within the first floor, looking at the sunset.

"This world looks beautiful…" Leonard commented.

"Yeah...totally worth it to spend my saving on the NerveGear and waiting in line for days just to get my hand on a hard copy of the game." Klein agreed with Leonard while retelling the story of his life waiting in line for the game.

"So these skills...the one that Leonard used before... there's a ton of them in the game, like blacksmithing...right?" Klein said as he pulled out his sword for a close-up inspection before turning to Kirito.

Kirito who lay next to him nodded his head.

"Uh-huh, I heard the game has an unlimited number of them- all except for magic though," he told Klein.

While Kirito said that, Leonard was busy checking his own skill lists, but his eye couldn't help but twitched when he heard Kirito saying that there's no magic in Sword Art Online.

"Then what the hell is this shit?" Leonard thought as he scrolled through his skill list which showed some of the most bullshit skills that's probably would never appear in the game itself.

[Negative Energy Manipulation- the ability to control Negative type magic.] along with some weapons skills such as [Negative Slash] which basically just send out a wave of dark energy to murder your target, to add salt to injuries, all skill that used Negative energy actually placed some nasty debuffs on his target, these debuffs include slow movement speed, slow attack speed and also weaken the target defense against more negative energy, it's a vicious cycle.

"What are you looking at? Leonard?" Klein quickly turned his head over to Leonard side, seeing that he was checking his own skills list, he was planning to take a sneak peek but Leonard quickly closed the list, which prevented him from seeing his skills.

"Oh, it's nothing, just looking through some skills," Leonard replied to Klein.

Klein paid no mind to it and went back to looking at the sunset.

"RPG without magic, it's a bold decision." he then smirked.

"Alright then, it's good knowing both of you, I'm going to log off now, got some stuff to do in real life." Leonard decides to let out some hint that the logout option is no longer there.

"Yeah, add me to your friend list my brother- you know so we can play with one another some time," Klein asked him.

"Uh...yeah sure…" Leonard began to felt quite nervous because he doesn't know if the Multiverse system can actually have a friend list or not.

"System, is it possible to add people in this world to a friend list? Erm..if you have any." Leonard secretly asked the system using a mental command.

[it is possible, since the Multiverse system has successfully integrated itself into the Cardinal system, you now have full access to all the menu as any other players in Sword Art Online.] the system told him, with that said Leonard quickly added Klein to his friend list, the pink hair man also did the same.

Next he looks at Kirito to see if he wanted to be added, Kirito being Kirito, of course, was a bit skeptical about all of it, however, he soon also agreed to share his friend code with the other two.

After trio added each other onto their friend list, Kirito asked if they want to hunt some more monsters.

Klein got really excited and yelled out.

"Oh~ you know it!" however his tone of voice began to get dejected.

"But the thing is...I'm really hungry, I have to log out like Leonard there," he told them when Klein stomach started to make some growling noise and then turned his sight at Leonard who was searching through the menu.

"Erm...Klein? You mind check and see if your logout menu option is still there?" Leonard asked the man in a nervous tone.

"What are you talking about, it's right-...." Klein quickly brought up his game menu and quickly search for the logout option, however, he discovered that it had disappeared.

"...this is strange...the logout option...it's gone...is this some kind of bug?" Klein questioned in a confused face.

"It should be there at the bottom of the main menu." Kirito also notices that there's something strange going on and he took quickly open up the game menu and search for the logout option, but he too discovered that it is no longer there.

"It's gone for you too huh?" Leonard gave Kirito a serious expression as he told the man.

"Today is what? The first day? Of course, there's might be some bugs still hanging around in the game, I bet some people on the server are freaked out right now." Klein shrugs it off as he tried to divert his mind from the worst case scenario.

"...should I be freaked out now? Since I already ordered a pizza at 5:30…." Leonard muttered in a low enough voice to where Klein could pick it up.

"...Pizza….OH CRAP?!" Klein freaked out now that he remembered that he too had ordered a pizza for 5:30.

"Why don't we just contact the game, master?" Kirito suggested.

"Already tried that, but no one is answering." Leonard quickly replied to him.

Klein also nodded in agreement. "No one is picking up...that's strange."

"...yeah and there's no alternative way to log out of the game but through the menu…." Leonard voice slowly drifted off as he reminded them of the worst that could happen.

It was then that they were suddenly transported to the central plaza in the town of beginning.

Where it all started, where they also met up with all the other players that also got dragged into the whole mess as well, they all look really confused.

"Force teleportation?!" Leonard called out and quickly look around for Kirito and Klein.

Soon he found the both of them, they were teleported a bit further than him, but he successfully grouped up with them once again.

It was then that someone pointed out that there is a weird flickering red spot in the sky.

It was then that the sky quickly turned red, starting from the first flickering spot that was noticed by everyone, soon a goo like liquid began to drip down, creating static and began to form a giant floating hooded man in the game master robe, he was faceless.

"What the hell is that thing..?" Klein questioned the scene which unfurled before his eyes in awe.
