27 chapter 3

On the back of the blue truck, Leonard and his party were sitting along with a dark skin man name Lee Everett and the little girl named Clementine, whom he's currently taking care of.

Everyone on the truck seen to look at them with weird eyes.

"Why are you guys dressed so weirdly?" the kid name Duck or Kenny Jr. asked.

Then the woman whom everyone on his party presumes to be the kid mother shushed him.

"What? It's true!" he continued.

"Don't mind the kid, he's quite hyper," Kenny told Leonard, group.

"I don't mind it, we're just got caught in a bad time when all of this happened," Leonard told Kenny.

"Mind if I ask who you folks are?" Kenny asked.

"Oh, we're just tourists….erm from the UK! Yeah from the UK." Leonard quickly made something up just for everyone.

"Well that's strange...you don't see to have the British accent." Kenny looks back at them weirdly, however, he then turned his eyes back on to the road and drive.

"I, no we got that a lot, let just say we're a bunch of oddballs," he said sarcastically.

Mavis and Conner's eye twitched as they heard Leonard answered.

"Oh wait, that's rude of me, I totally forgot to introduce myself, I am Leonard Welser." he introduces.

"I'm Kenny, that's Kaja my wife and the kid is Kenny Jr. but we just call him Duck." he introduced himself and his family.

He then glanced at the other who was with Leonard.

"A*cough my name is Mavis, I'm Mr. Welser maid," she said.

"Maid? You quite rich huh kid?" Kenny asked.

"Well, not that rich personally…." he replied softly.

"I'm Conner and this is Ryan, and I'm these kids bodyguard." Conner introduced himself and Ryan.

"Oh hot damn, you were saying that you ain't rich?" Kenny was surprised.

"..I treat Conner more as my uncle than a personal bodyguard, however, he indeed has the power to protect us when we're in danger," he replied.

"No doubt with all this hell coming down, he did his job damn well seeing that none of you actually had a scratch on yourself."

"Hehe,...you're right." Conner has seen to take the compliment quite well since Leonard could see that his face was glowing.

Leonard then looks at the other 2 people who haven't introduce themselves yet, a little girl and a black man.

"So...who are you 2?" Leonard asked politely.

"I'm Lee." the man said, he then look at the little girl.

"I'm...Clementine." she introduced herself nervously.

"Nice to meet you, Clementine." Mavis who was on the side couldn't resist herself because of Clementine adorableness and pulled herself closer to the little girl.

"Eh?!" Clementine was quite surprise and so does Lee.

"Don't mind her, she like adorable little kids," Leonard informed Lee and Clementine.

"So where are you fine folks heading?" Leonarda asked.

"Going to Macon," Kenny replied.

Soon the truck arrived into a deserted town with broken vehicles all wasted all over the road.

The truck then stopped.

"Time to get down folks, out of gas," Kenny told them.

They all hopped out of the now out of gases vehicle and Kenny was holding a jerry can in hope of finding some gas to fuel his truck.

The group walked around until Duck pointed out to them that there's a presence ahead of them.

"H---" Kenny was about to call out to the figure who ahead of them but his mouth was gagged by Conner.

"Shhhh" he shushes Kenny.

"Quiet, unless you want to be their dinner, that isn't a human," he told Kenny.

"How do you know that?" Kenny asked him.

"It has the stench of something rotting, and if you listen closely, you could hear that it is currently munching on something...of which I presume to be a corpse," Conner replied.

"We need to leave the open now…." Leonard suggested.

They all nodded.

Then Lee pointed toward a store on the corner of the street.

"Let go there then, there might be some supplies," he suggested.

They all headed toward the store-

"Rawwrrr" suddenly an undead caught the sense of them and alerted it kind to join into the fray.

"Shit! Run!" Lee yelled.

They quickly rushed toward the store, when they got closer to the door, the door immediately opened and a figure showed himself and quickly beckoned the party to head in.

"Come on! I'll lock the gate!" he yelled.
