The Evergreen army side, after the duke gave his order for Leonard undead troops to be the vanguard, leading their army in the attack.

The Demon Hunters army from the Holy Church immediately made their attack before their ally, the Rosen kingdom could give the order for the charge.

Back on the hilltop, where Leonard and all other important officers of the Evergreen overseeing the battlefield, Leonard couldn't help but sneer at the Demon Hunters sheer stupidity or confidence.

"Fools" he muttered.

"Did you say something Leonard?" Ryan, who was sitting next to Leonard and enjoying a nice cup of tea asked him.

"No, it's nothing too important...I just thought that those sent by the Church...could be such fools," he told Ryan.

Luminous who was standing behind him just happened to hear what he said and couldn't help but have her eyebrow twitched, because she too, was sent by the Church.

"I guess it is time for the undead troops to make their charge to intercept the Demon hunter now." Leonard thought.

"System, inform the undead troops to advance and intercept the Demon Hunters." Leonard gave a mental command to the system.

[order has been sent] the system informed him.

The zombies began holding up their shield and marched in unison toward the incoming Demon Hunters, totally unfazed by their bloodthirst and killing intent.

Quickly behind them was the crossbowmen who was in the volley firing formation.

"Leonard...who was that woman behind you?" suddenly Ryan asked him that question after he sent his order to the undead troops.

"She's my new servant," Leonard answered her nonchalantly.

"Hmmm?" Mavis, who sat next to Ryan remaining quiet all these time, let out a strange sound as she heard Leonard answer.

"What? Got something to say?" Leonard asked her.

"You two look awfully close, don't you think?" Mavis asked him.

Ryan who sat next to her nodded her head while biting down on a piece of baked sweet.

"It's probably just your imagination, she's probably hated my guts and couldn't wait to just rip me into pieces," he told her while took a sip from his cup.

Luminous upon hearing Leonard answer, just ignored him and went to paying close attention to the battlefield along with everyone else.

"Oh, you don't say," Mavis said in a low tone of voice.

Back to the battle between the Demon Hunters and Leonard undead troop.

The initial clashed between the two forces was quite a catastrophe for Leonard undead troops, as most of the one that was stationed in the very front was immediately destroyed, even with the shield help negating most of the initial forces.

As the Demon Hunters were business in destroying the undead troops with their light magic infused attack, the crossbowmen behind Leonard troop was not standing idle either, they launched volley upon volley at the Demon Hunters and injured many of them, however that did not stop them, the Demon Hunters keep pushing forward with a mad fervent.

"Keep on firing! We must reduce as many of them as possible or the main force will be in trouble!" the captain who was in charge of the crossbowmen shouted out to his soldiers.

"Aye sir!" they all yelled and quickly speed up their reload and firing volley tactic.

They shoot until their quivers emptied, and by now most of the undead troops that diverted the Demon Hunters attention has been destroyed, however, they- the Demon Hunters too had suffered many casualties.

"Quickly retreat! Let the cavalry deal with these bastards! We've done our absolute best now! Retreat! Run! Do not look back!" the captain ordered and he too quickly ran back to their main army, followed him was the rest of the crossbowmen.

"Chase them! Kill them!" No.0 who just finished off the last undead called out to the rest of the Demon Hunters to chase after the retreating crossbowmen.

The crossbowmen who were currently retreating with haste heard that the Demon Hunters were right behind their tails, they immediately picked up their speed- going as far as dropping everything and run for their life.

When they heard the galloping of horses ahead of them they were in ecstasy, knowing that the Cavalry has come to save them.

When the cavalry arrived to intercept the unprepared Demon Hunters, it was a complete bloodbath of the side of the Demon Hunters, many have been injured by the crossbow bolts while fighting the undead troops previously and as well as tired out, they did not stand much of a chance when the Cavalry swept them over.

Out of the one thousand troops that charged at the Evergreen army, only roughly three hundred survived the onslaught when their ally reached them.

Unfortunately, No.0 did not survive it, for he was the first to be trampled by a horse, however, fortunately for him, the rider and horse that killed him did not survive for long, he was impaled by a spear right after he trampled the man to death.

Sitting on top of the hill on the Evergreen army side.

Leonard, and all the commanding officers, including Erik himself, was completely speechless by the outcome of the battle.

They were all prepared to suffer some loss from the enemy Demon Hunters, however unexpectedly, the Demon Hunters that they were so afraid of was either turned into a pin cushion by their crossbowmen or trampled to death by their cavalry.

"That was...unexpected…" Erik commented on the battle that was fought just a moment ago.

Leonard now turned his attention to Luminous.

"You sure that you didn't exaggerate the Demon Hunter's strength?" Leonard questioned her with a weird yet amused expression showing on his face.

"...." Luminous too was completely speechless by the outcome as well.

"What kind of a sick joke is this?....you were saying...five hundred of them could defend a city...yet here they are...either being impaled by the cavalry spear or filled with crossbow bolts by the crossbowmen….I was just wondering...how the hell did no one manage to completely conqueror these fools yet." Leonard covered his face with a palm as he spoke those words.

All the commanding officers who heard it- too couldn't help but also agreed with him.

Then, out of nowhere- a dagger came flying in, it target was Leonard of all people.
