56 chapter 32

Ever since the day that Leonard brought Ryan out to have her do a little training- which turned out to be a massacre for the zombies' populations of the town, like any human with rational thought would do, he brought her out once in a while to do some more killing.

Needless to say, her stats went jumping through the roof, albeit it is not on the same level as Leonard, however it is decent enough to get her starting on casting a few tricks of magic from Mavis when those two went out.

Unexpectedly she manages to pick up on it quite nicely, however, she still prefers to use the guns for some reason.

Her drastic changes in personality do indeed freak out both Mavis and Conner when Ryan they were out doing zombie purging.

Leonard, of course, could help but be amazed at their reaction after they came back, and of course, they bombarded with questions, but all he could tell them is.

"Hell if I know."

Back to the present.

"Lee, I need to ask you something," Leonard called out to the man.

"Ask away," he said.

"Follow me, this is really important," Leonard told him and beckoned Lee to follow him to a corner of the motel.

Once they're there, Lee gave him a suspicious look.

"What do you need Leonard, and why all the trouble of bringing me to this secluded corner?" he asked.

"This question is about Clementine, you know what happens to her parent don't you," Leonard asked him directly and bluntly.

Lee's face was priceless upon hearing Leonard question.

"Tell me directly Lee, you know what happens right?" Leonard asked him once again.

Lee just nodded.

"They both...well dead right?" he kept on questioning.

He nodded "when I first found Clem in that house, I took a look around and found a message sent by her parent...their situation in Savannah...her father was bitten when the outbreak started...and the last message…"Lee stopped there.

Because out from the side was Clementine, tears were on both of her eyes as she tried to hold it back in.

"Clementine!" Lee called out her name.

"So- it's true...what Leonard said was true, my parent..they're gone…" tears began to roll out of her eyes as she spoke.

Leonard went to her and gave the little girl a hug.

"They're gone! They're gone!" she wailed.

"There there Clementine, you still had us," he tries to comfort her.

Lee looks at Leonard with an anger filled eyes.

"What did you do that Leonard?!" he roared at the teen.

"Tell me, you want her to look at her parents after they are reanimated?" he shot back at Lee.

"What I'm doing here is to help Clementine-" he added, however, Lee cut him off.

"How is this helping her?!" he yelled.

"...did you know...she has been talking to a stranger with that radio, that stranger is tempting her, he told her that he knows where her parents are," Leonard told the man.

"W-what? Is it true Clem?" Lee stuttered.

Clementine looks at Lee with eyes that are now dried and nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me, Clementine…" Lee looks at her.

"I-I-" she stuttered.

"Hold it off Lee, she must have her reasons, for now, we need to figure out who the hell is behind that radio," Leonard suggested.

"Yeah…." Lee nodded and agreed with him. "How do you want to do it?" Lee asked him.

"hehe….I think I had a plan...for this, I need your help, Clem." Leonard then looks at Clementine.

"Just tell what I'm about to tell you once he calls you back, alright?" he asks her.

Clementine nodded.

"Good….good….this is going to be really good." he grinned.

He quickly filled Clementine and Lee into his little scheme.

"We'll do it your way then, Leonard," Lee agreed.

Soon time passed and Ryan along with Conner and Mavis came back from their daily killing.

"How was today hunt?" Leonard asked them

"We ran into one or two on our trip, however strangely they all seen to...vanished," Conner replied.

"Vanished? Where did you search?" Leonard questioned his uncle.

"We've been searching around the urban living area of Peachtree up and all the way to the border of the urban area," Ryan spoke up this time.

"It's really strange...what's your thought on it, Leonard?" Mavis ask him.

"I have no idea, however, I do have a few hypotheses, do you want to hear them?" Leonard asked.

"Let hear it," Conner told him.

"The first one is, they must have migrated out of the area, possibly into the city or outside of the city and headed somewhere else," he stated his first hypothesis.

"What's the second one?" Mavis asked him.

"The second one is someone probably drew them away," Leonard told her.

"What's the third one?" Ryan asked him this time.

"The third one is, and I hope this never came true, and for a good reason," he told them in a serious tone.

"What is it, just tell us," Mavis ask him.

"...the third hypothesis is, there must be a powerful zombie gathering all of the rogue one, possibly into a large horde or group and lead them somewhere," he stated.

"What? Is that possible?!" Mavis was surprised.

"How is that not possible? If a creature such as Tyrant can exist, who can say that a variant that evolved toward controlling other cannot exist?" Leonard told her.

"You know I'm right about it, Mavis- there's always that possibility that it does exist, and if it does, then we are seriously in a tough spot if it were to lead that horde toward us," he added.

Now their group had that serious expression on their face and tension was rising.

" don't worry too much about it, the chance of that zombie exist is low, however we will deal with it if it were to appear, I'm sure that you and uncle Conner could take on hundreds if not thousands of these dumb zombies that had no intelligent by now right?" he looks at the two of them.
