81 chapter 21

Luminous was currently has a great problem on her hand.

At first, when she saw a teenager walking out of the army camp, she thought that through using him, she could infiltrate the camp and successfully assassinate it leader without much effort.

So she happily played along with the kid after a few threat, of course, she thought that he was meek and easily be manipulated, however...she was dead wrong.

Now bound in chains and shackle, tying up to a pole, left in the middle of his tent.

"Release me!!! I swear I'm going to kill you?!" she shouted at the kid.

"Lady! You sure that you're not high on anything? You want me to release you so that you can kill me?" Leonard questioned her with a weird and amused expression on his face.

"You trick me! You brat?!" she continues to yell at him.

"...well...I can't really deny that one there...I did trick you...so what?" Leonard smirked.

"What do you want!" Luminous quickly calmed herself down and asked him.

"I want to know, who give you the assassination order." Leonard glared at her.

"Hmph! What makes you think that I will tell you?" she replied back in a tone filled with irritation.

Immediately the temperature within the tent dropped by a few degrees.

"Oh trust me, lady...I have a way of getting those secrets from your mouth, no one shall try to hurt my family and the people who are close to me and get away with it." Leonard spoke those words with a calm expression, however, the bloodlust hidden under those words is undeniably there.

"Now tell me...who...give...you...the...order…" he whispered into Luminous ear.

She gritted her teeth.

"There is no way that I will give you that answer!" she retorted.

"Is it the church?" Leonard continued to ask.

"Huh!? How do you know?!" Luminous blurted out by accident.

"So my suspicion was right on, now onto the next question," he smirked.

"Who are you, what's your position within the church?" Leonard added.

Luminous did not answer him and remained silent.

"Stubborn I see…." he said, then he pulled down the piece of cloth that covered her face.

Immediately after he pulled down the piece of cloth, Leonard was stunned.

The woman face was that of a great beauty, smooth skin, shiny red lips with a well-figured face.

"What? Never seen someone as beautiful as me before?" Luminous questioned him.

"Heh...this is just great," Leonard told her.

"What do you mean by that?" Luminous looked at Leonard.

"Since you are such a beauty, getting an answer from your mouth won't be that much of an issue." he grinned.

"I could just, let say...strip you naked and parade you through the entire camp full of men who had never seen the sight of a woman for quite some time now, how do you think they will react when I told them that they could each have their ways with you?" Leonard held up her chin.

Her face immediately went pale from fright.

"You are an evil kid! How could you be so cruel?!" she shouted at him.

"Me? Cruel and evil? You're joking right?" Leonard sneered at her.

"Just for a piece of land near the border, they actually supported our enemy, the Rosen kingdom in their invasion, what do you think will happen to my people if their invasion were to succeed? You dumbass literally broke everything in the bible! Peace you said, and love you bunch preached, what a load of crap- we are the victim here." he added. "Shitty bunch of hypocrites." he then nailed these final words.

"What-" Luminous was completely speechless, she did expect those words from Leonard, no- she did not expect those words from anyone, in her entire life- she was raised by the church based on the holy teaching of the saints/saintess and god, she thought about what she did back then, all of those assassination orders were for the good of everyone.

"Now...answer my question….or I will show you how much of a devil I am," Leonard told her in a low voice.

Luminous emotion was in conflict now.

"I'm disappointed in you, drag her out, strip her naked and parade her to all the knights in the camp." Leonard gave his order to the zombie knights.

"Wait….I will tell you." Luminous told him.

"Spill it, I do not have time to waste," Leonard told her.

"I am indeed a member of the Holy Church, I was known as an Inquisitor of the organization, titled Luminous." she quickly spilled everything, including her order giving by a cardinal name William, of whom received the order from the Pope himself.

"So the whole damned Church was involved in this mess….very well...none of you shall escape from my wrath…" Leonard muttered, he then looked at Luminous.

"I have a proposal for you...Inquisitor Luminous," he told her.

"What might it be?" she asked.

"Swear your allegiance to me, and I shall let you live," Leonard told the woman.

"What other choice do I have? I have failed my mission, my faith shattered, and the existence of the inquisitor has been noticed, I have broken their laws, I will likely be punished once I've returned," she told him.

"Alright, I agree to serve you." she finally agreed.

"System, do you have anything that could keep her from betraying me in the future?" Leonard asked the system using his mind.

[Recommend spending achievement point to buy a binding contract.] the system message told him.

"Buy one and bind her to me," Leonard ordered the system.

[Binding Contract - cost 1 achievement point, do you wish to continue?] the system asked him.

"Yes, buy it," Leonard ordered.

[the item will be stored into the player inventory] the system informed.

Leonard then quickly opened his inventory to find that there was a scroll stored inside one of the boxes, he withdrew the item and immediately it materialize on his hand.

"What is that?! How did it suddenly appeared in your hand?!" Luminous was surprised by the sudden appearance of the scroll and questioned him.

"This is a magical contract that prevents you from betraying me of course," he told her.

"Now, Contract- activate!" he activates the scroll, immediately, information on how the use the item flooded into his head, he quickly set the contract conditions.

"Now, drop your blood into the scroll, and the contract will bind your soul to mine," Leonard told her.
