36 Chapter 12
A few days later, Downtown Macon on the open road.
Leonard, Lee, and Kenny went back to the deserted town infested with walkers to try and look for supplies since the supplies that they carried with them when they left the drugstore could only last them for so long.
"How are we doing this?" Leonard asks Kenny.
"Well...we should stick together while salvaging, one could keep an eye out for the other two, the last thing we need is getting jumped," Kenny told.
"Okay, where do we start? Stores or homes?" Leonard asked.
"Now hold on for a moment Leonard, why don't we start with the street first? Those places tend to get dangerous if you don't prepare." Kenny suggested.
"Alright then, you guy go search I'll keep an eye out for you." Leonard volunteered.
Of which the both of them quick obliged.
The two grown then immediately rummaging through the wreckages searching for anything that's even remotely useful.
However, they focus mostly on medicines, foods, waters, and weapons.
"Guys, I think you two also need to focus on finding us some toilet papers, the last thing we need is to wipe our ass with stick and stone, last I check- it ain't pretty," he suggested.
The two men looked at each other in embarrassment.
"Right...will do."
After searching through the wreckages one by one, the group manages to gather up quite a number of supplies- however not to say that they didn't run into any walkers.
Some of them were in the driver seat pretending to be dead.
While other were hiding under the cars- but most of them were just wandering around the street.
Needless to say, they killed off any walkers they encountered.
Just to make sure that they don't try to cause them any problem later on in the future.
They spent hours foraging.
The three of them gathered around the loots.
"Quite a decent haul don't you say so?" Kenny asked.
"Yeah, these will last us for a while." Lee agreed.
However, Leonard has another issue.
"...tell me….why...is there only one roll of toilet papers? I thought these things come in packs..." he told the two men.
"Ahh come on, it's not that big of a deal, at least we found some foods and waters plus some meds and a few tools, we look other supplies tomorrow, those few rolls we got back at the motel probably would last for a day or two at least," Kenny told.
"...alright, the next time we're going out- toilet papers...will be our priority," Leonard demanded.
"Alright let carry these supplies back, I'm sure the other would appreciate it." Lee chimed in.
"Right, let go," Kenny said, he then divided the supplies into three part.
The two grown men walked in fronts each man carrying a part of the supplies.
The last bag was handed to Leonard to help to carry.
On the way back to the motel down in Peachtree, it was pretty quiet, no walkers, just open road.
However halfway to the motel, something unexpectedly showed up.
"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Kenny stared with his eyes wide open to the scene in front of him.
"Yeah….definitely…" Lee chimed in.
"What is it?" Leonard who was behind the two men asked as he tries to look at what the hell Kenny and Lee were talking about.
"....oh...shit…." Leonard eyes too were wide open.
In front of them, a huge two meters tall walkers were crouching down munching on an unfortunate walker, its body was ripped with dense muscle.
"Second thought...maybe we should head back to Macon and look for more toilet papers…."Kenny suggested.
"Yeah...agreed let head back to Macon." Lee seconded to Kenny suggestion.
"Let back away slowly….." it was then that the shittiest thing happened.
Leonard stepped on an empty can and slip.
*thud! He felled over with a thud.
"Hurrrgrgghhh," the hulk-like walker notices the disturbances and turned its head around.
"....."Kenny and Lee's face went pale. "Run!" Lee called.
They quickly pulled Leonard up and ran back the other direction toward Macon, they ran with all their might and when Kenny turned his head around.
"Huurrraaggghhhh!" the Hulk roared as it was sprinting toward them.
"Shit! It coming after us!" Kenny yelled.
"We can't outrun it! Here take my bag." Leonard tossed his bag to Lee. "Get back to the motel and wait for me there," he told them.
"What are you planning to do?!" Kenny yelled. "Distracting it of course?!" Leonard told him.
"You're Insane you know that?!" Lee told him. "Then what do you suggest we do? At this rate, we all going to be it dinner!" Leonard told him and then turned around.
"Come after me, you bonehead!" Leonard stopped at the side and taunted the hulk-like walkers.
The hulk was obviously very pissed off by Leonard remark and turned to chase after him.
The two of them ran deep into the woods.
This time Lee and Kenny quite surprised that the hulk walker chased after Leonard and abandoned the two grown men, they let out a sigh of relief but then.
"How are we supposed to explain this to Conner?" Lee looks at Kenny.
".....oh crap….." that's all Kenny could mustered out.
