12 chapter 12

The old manager takes a quick sniff after he opens the jar.

He was stunned.

"This….this" he stuttered.

"This medicinal smell, this fragrant! This what is this?! How could this be possible!" he thought.

"So...does my medicine passed? Mr.Manager?" Leonard asked.

This brought the old manager back to reality, he then immediately say.

"This young sir, would you please follow this old man into his office, I would like to discuss this with you in..much greater details."

"Alright, lead the way." Leonard reply.

The both of them disappear deeper into the hallway, leaving the group of merchants and Edward with their open.

"What the hell just happen…." one of the merchants spoke up.

Inside the office.

"Please have a seat." The old manager told him.

Leonard promptly takes a seat on the leather sofa.

The old manager then took a seat across from him, he then places the jar of skin care medicine on the table.

"I like to introduce myself, I am the manager of this branch of Marcel company in the city of Trier, my name is Louis Marcel." the old manager introduced himself.

"Hello Mr. Marcel, I am Leonard Welser." he greeted.

Louis Marcel nodded, he then pointed at the jar that he placed on the table.

"I would like to ask you, where did you find this?"

"I made it." Leonard reply.

"You are not joking right?" Louis Marcel pushed Leonard once again.

"I made it," Leonard repeated.

Louis Marcel then let out a sigh.

"Then I may say Mr. Welser, but this medicine defied all kind of logic that made up modern alchemy, even I could not believe that this kind of medicine could exist."

"Oh you're exaggerating it, Mr. Marcel, this is just a simple jar of skincare medicine."

Louis Marcel just shook his head after hearing Leonard answer.

"Would you sell me the recipe for this medicine? Money is not a problem."

"Old man you high or something? There's no way in hell I would sell you this! Well at least not yet." he thoughted.

"I apologize Mr. Marcel, but I won't be selling you this recipe," he replied.

Louis Marcel wanted to say more, however, he put away the idea.

"Alright then, however, if you were to sell the recipe at any time, just know that I'll be more than willing to buy it off of you."

"Will do Mr. Marcel." Leonard reply with a smile.

"So, then you would like to sell this medicine on the next up and coming auction?" Louis Marcel asked once again.

Leonard just nodded.

"Fortunately this is possible, it just that I have no idea of how to set the price for this since, in the history of this branch of the Marcel Auction house, there has never been anyone selling something like this," he told Leonard honestly.

"Really? Then what do people sell then?" Leonard asked.

"They mostly put up armors and weapons, sometimes magical beasts or some random antique and artifact such as magical pieces of equipment, there's even the time people auctioned off slave as well," Louis answered.

"People don't sell medicine or whatsoever?" Leonard asked.

"No, medicine is usually sold directly to the company without going through the auctioning, since most medicine isn't that extreme."

"Alright then, please sell this jar of medicine to the highest bidder, you can set the starting price at the lowest, but during the auction don't forget to mention that there won't be any more of this medicine for quite a while."

Leonard suggested.

"Heh...the "rarer" the product, the higher it price usually goes...same truth for diamonds that have been monopolized by a certain cooperation." Leonard thought.
