The next day outside of Tolbana at 10:00 in the morning.
All the players that had gathered up for the meeting from the previous day had come and waited outside the entrance of the town, waiting for their next move.
Of course, Leonard and his party arrived on time for the raid to begin, Diavel stood in front of everyone with every packed and ready to go.
"Alright everyone, I hope that you bought all the necessity for today raid yesterday, health potions, foods- anything that can increase your stats is a must have for this, " he told them.
But seeing their silent, he just nodded then told everyone to follow him.
Along the way as the raid group tread through a forest that was in between Tolbana and the dungeon that held the floor boss, at the very back end of the raid parties.
"Alright, let go over this again- we're the backup," Kirito tells Asuna once again.
"So our target is going to be the boss minions, the Ruin Kobold Sentinels." he then added.
Asuna just replied to him with a soft "I know."
"Don't you think that they specifically left us out of the fight against the boss?" Leonard couldn't help but ask Kirito.
"Yeah, but what can we do about it? We're just a party of three." Kirito let out a sigh as he answered Leonard.
"They probably think that us three couldn't do much to the boss, other than being cannon fodders when the time come." Leonard clicked his tongue as he spat out those words.
"You know that it's true, with just three people in this party, we're likely to deal half the amount of work a normal party with this raid could do." Asuna joined the conversation.
"Heh, don't place your trust on that kind of logic, Asuna," Leonard said while having a smirk on his face.
Asuna face within the cloak was full of surprise when she heard Leonard calling out her name.
"How do you know that?" she asked him.
Leonard just uses his left hand and pointed upward with a finger.
"He means to look up at the upper left corner of your vision, it should be there." Kirito interpret Leonard body language to the clueless Asuna.
Quickly she set her eyesight onto the upper left corner of her vision, there she saw two health bar under that of her own, with names on each of them.
"Leonard….Kirito…" she muttered softly as she looked at those names.
"Yes, nice to meet you too," Leonard told her, to which she remained silent throughout the entire trip toward the dungeon.
Even though Asuna remained silent through the journey, Leonard and Kirito are certainly not one to remain silent about their strategy.
While Kirito suggests that he should be the one deflect the minions blow, Leonard says that he has enough confidence to overpowered the minions in the fight, which indeed has some truth to it, however, he had to follow Kirito plan since he can't argue with "better safe than sorry."
The raid parties tread through the mountainous/forest route for roughly an hours before they had to fight their ways into the dungeon where the boss of the first floor is located.
It's a dungeon within a dungeon, the entire process took roughly another hour, it was dangerous for most people- yet luckily no one dies...yet.
Now they all stood in front of a large stone door with Diavel leading the front.
"Now listen up everyone," Diavel spoke up to get their attention.
"I only got one thing to say to you." he paused for a moment.
"Let win!" he then shouted out while holding up his fist.
Next, he turned around and pushed onto the stone door when Diavel touched the stone door and used a bit of force to push it open, the ancient doorway creak and slide open while scraping against the stone floor.
The room was huge and dark.
"I can see him…the boss." Leonard grinned as he lay eyes on the large red monster sitting on a throne at the other end of the room, next to it was a large ax, placed next to it, and on one of it hand was a rounded buckler, on the back of the creature was a large cleaver-like weapon.
After everyone has entered the room, the door immediately slammed shut, trapping everyone inside with the boss, and the room then lighted up as the giant red monster leaped across the room with an ax and a buckler in hand.
*Booom!!!!
When the thing landed, the impact from it landing kicked up a storm of dust that blinded everyone for a second.
"HOWWLLLLL!!!!" the boss howled out loudly as its name and health bars displayed itself to all the players within the room.
[Illfang the Kobold Lord] has a total of four hp bars, immediately soon after more monster appeared, those are the ruin kobold sentinels that the boss summoned, immediately upon soon they charged at the players with weapons in hands, ready to shred them into pieces.
"Commence attack!" Diavel shouted out the order for the players, and upon hearing the order they all charged at the minions.
"Let do this! It's SHOWTIME!" Leonard pulled out his sword and dashed toward the first minion that was within his sight, close behind him was Kirito and Asuna.
"He's such a battle maniac." Kirito faces twitches while following close behind.
When Leonard arrived at the first ruin kobold sentinel, the creature swung it large hammer in an overhead strike toward him.
"Heavy- Slash!" Leonard immediately countered the attack with a skill of his own, and the sound of metal and stone clashed, the force from Leonard skill manages to cancel the creature attack and created an opening for his other two teammates to do some damage, Kirito seized it by going to side and stab it in the kidney while Asuna switched place with Leonard and launched a successive attacks with her rapier.
"Hey hey, not bad there, that's some speed," Leonard commented on Asuna sword skill.
However, she did not say anything.
"Growwwlll!!!" the injured ruin kobold sentinel growled angrily as it hit point was now in the red and once again pulled another attack targeting it front, where Asuna is.
"Huh?" Asuna was surprised by the monster desperate attack.
"Watch out!" Kirito seeing that the monster was about to connect it attack onto Asuna body, he immediately activates another skill and stabs the creature through it chest from the back.
After he did that, the ruin kobold sentinel froze for a second before blurred out and explode into tiny data fragment.
"Keep your guard up, your level might be too low to finish off a monster such as the ruin kobold sentinel," Leonard told her.
He then focuses his attention at Illfang who was fighting two parties of players, leading by Diavel who stood in the back.
Kirito noticing that Leonard has shifted his attention away from the boss minions to the boss of the floor himself, he could help but fear for the worse.
"Don't tell me that you're planning to attack that thing…" Kirito covered his face as he asked that question.
"Oh, you know it, brother!" Leonard grinned, Asuna who was on the side has a blank expression under her hood.
"Huh? Aren't we supposed to be the backup and help to fight these minions instead of attacking that thing?" she asked.
"Well...changes of plans now, I could care less about their orders," he told her.
