1 Ch. 1 Waking Up

Don wakes up to a fierce pain all over his body. His eyes shoot open at it and what greets them is a steampunk scenery shrouded in green smoke and light. Pipes and mechanisms integrate with the dirty grey walls. He is currently lying in a gutter while a few bums strung out on drugs sit a few tens of feet away. He sits up and instantly hears a mechanical voice.

[Your System is initiating, memory retrieval in process.]

Instantly Don is hit by a sharp unbearable pain in his head. Memories that aren't his drill into his mind. As it ends Don realizes something.

"Fuck, Fuck, Fuck!"

He's transmigrated into Valoran, otherwise known as the background setting for the League of Legends video game and the Arcane TV show Don died watching. Unfortunate truly.

From his memories he's in the the undercity Zaun right now. A dark horrible place to live, filled with sin, gangsters, and death. 'Couldn't it have been up in Piltover?' He laments.

The one saving grace? The mechanical voice he heard earlier. A system, almost all systems make their hosts op so he's looking forward to it.

'System show me my status'

[Host: Don Culver

Status: Malnurished, injured

Vitality: 5

Intelligence: 9

Skills: N/A]

'Pretty simple huh? Are there any other functions?'

[Ding! There's a map function, missions, inventory, and shop as well as a novice gift pack!]

'Awesome! Open the gift pack!'

[Ding! Received basic boxing skill, and one tomoe sharingan.]

Checking his status again all three of these were added to his skills with a simple introduction.

[basic boxing skill - practice to get better.

one tomoe sharingan - just imagine it activating and it works.]

Looking around at the dingy alley with only a few drug addicts sitting not far away he activates his map function and begins traveling through the undercity. His first priority? Food.

He reaches a Main Street and with his hood over his head he begins snatching food from different vendors. As he does he keeps getting notifications for a thieving skill and it even levels up to level two. With the upgrade in level different techniques and experience in thieving enter his head. With this he's managed to pickpocket a few passerby.

Unfortunately he wasn't careful enough or high enough of a level and got caught. A burly man with tattoos running across his body catches Dons hand reaching for his coin purse. He pulls Don's face in close enough to smell the rancid breath coming from his pierced mouth.

"Watcha looking for boy?" He grins looking at his purse, "Couldn't have been this could it?"

"Uhhh" Don pauses and uses the basic boxing information to launch a punch into the man's face. However his fist just digs into the man's face a little before stopping.

The man grins then slams Don onto the ground with a punch of his own. He launches a few kicks into him wracking Dons ribs with pain before ruffling through his body and snatching the few coin purses Don managed to snag before this.

He curls in pain for a few moments after the man left. Before standing up and getting right back to it. He takes a few more beatings before getting his thieving level up to five. In between these beatings he grabbed a massive meal at a street shop using the coins he snatched.

At this point Don is happy. Sore but happy. After level five he has a decent experience of thieving injected into his head. From picking locks to climbing buildings to stealing coin purses, it's all rounded knowledge.

Plus after level five he managed to avoid these beatings more often and after hitting level six he hasn't been caught once. Calling it a day Don walks into a shitty motel on one of the streets and rents a room with his stolen money. Many people today arrived home and were furious they were pickpocketed.

Don wakes up to knocking at his hotel room door. It's loud and not very polite. He moves to open it and sees someone he recognizes. Sevika, Silco's lackey. She's not the prettiest woman with a large nose. He coat covers her left arm which Don knows hides a mechanical construct.

"Hey there pretty boy, my boss wants to see you."

"And if I don't want to see him? Your boss isn't exactly the kindest person."

She grins after he says this, "You can either come quietly or I can beat your face in and drag you to him."

Don looks at his level one boxing skill and motions for her to lead the way.
