Chapter 1

The year is 2173. Fifty years ago, dungeons with monsters from another dimension started to appear. In contrast, the human population began gaining powers to clear these dungeons so they don't become dungeon breaks like the first spawned dungeons that no one could deal with, as very few had powers.

More and more people were getting powers after killing one of these monsters to become one of the awakened who are called hunters/awakened. From the very beginning of awakening powers, you may be very strong or weak. The strong hunters were the only ones to protect humanity during a dungeon break.

The strongest of the hunters was firepower awakened, and his name was Xu Tian. He had died one day during a dungeon break of only dragons that only he could face alone. After killing the king dragon, he also failed with the king dragon soon after winning the fight.

#50 Years Later#

A young man at the age of 17 is an orphan whose family died in a fire caused by a dungeon outbreak that has goblins. Now, he lives in an alleyway full of trash bags to the dead-end, 20 meters from the sidewalk.

The boy's name is Xu Tian. He is 178" tall with long black hair, and his face is covered in dirt; however, you can still see his handsome face with pearly gray eyes.

"Ughhhh!" Groaned Xu Tian.

"Why does my head hurt so much, and where am I?" He said as he was coming back to reality.

"And this bright billboard isn't helping any, but why does it have someone fighting monsters from a low-level dungeon." He said right before getting an instant and painful headache.

"Aaahhhhhh!!" He screamed from the severe amount of pain.

The people walking by looked at the young man as if he was senile or going insane. A few people had stopped to ask what was wrong, but he kept screaming, and they realized he was in pain. When they tried to help, he just hit their arms away on instinct.

"I remember now. I-I'm supposed to be dead, but how am I alive?" Said Xu Tian when he wasn't in pain anymore.

"Hey man, are you good, or should I call the Healers?" Said the man that was trying to help him.

"What year is it, sir?" Asking Xu Tian.

"It's 2223, but are you okay man?" Responded the stranger.

"So it's been 50 years since then; I wonder if the old man is still alive, and I'm not currently okay, but it's nothing you should be concerned with." Said Xu Tian in a whisper.

"I'll be on my way, friend, and thanks for the help, but I need to get going to see something." Xu Tian said to the stranger.

"Oh, okay, anywhere, in particular, you are trying to go that I may be able to help with?" Asked the stranger.

"No, I think I'll be okay. I know my way, but thanks for the help again." Replied Xu Tian while walking away and facing the man.

"Okay, bud, but hold on a sec so I can give you my contact information so you can ask for help or something." Said the stranger, turning around to see Xu Tian not there anymore.

Xu Tian walked away from the man and was walking towards his old friend's home, but while walking away, he could hear what the man had said. His senses were heightened from all of his many years of training on the battlefield.

Xu Tian already knew where he was as this city was where he had lived for many years before he died. This city's name was Star City on the Star Continent, the only piece of land on Blue Sun.

Xu Tian had arrived at his destination within 2 hours as he had traveled the whole continent before his first death.

"My friend, it's been ages since we last met." Said the older man sitting on the patio of his old cottage, waiting for his friend as if he already knew he was coming.

"What have you been waiting for, old man." Asks Xu Tian to his friend.

"Well, I've been waiting for you, my friend, as I knew you were coming." Replied the older man.

"How did you know and what's going on, old man? Plus, it seems you haven't aged at all, so what's up with that as well." Asked Xu Tian, who is on the verge of a mental breakdown.

"Well, my friend, to answer your questions, I should tell you I'm a powerful god, so I haven't aged any. I'm able to see all that goes on in this world, and I brought you back so you can help me defeat the enemies that have injured me, which is why you have come back to life fifty years after your death, which those evil gods were the ones that had a hand in your death." Replied the older man.

"So why did you bring me back then if you're a god hiding from other gods?" Xu Tian asked.

"Well, my friend, I was the most powerful god way back when; however, I was betrayed and injured by my comrades, and they have been hunting me ever since, so I hid my existence in this immortal body with little power. I couldn't hide it completely, so they found me before you died." Says the older man.

"Then why am I here, and what am I supposed to do against the gods?" Xu Tian asked curiously.

"I shall use the last of my powers to give you a system to make you more powerful than the gods combined, so I want you to become a god in my place, and I will become a mortal unless you can kill the other gods then you will be able to help me become a god again if I still wish to become one once you're done, my friend." Said the older man.

"So you want me to become a god, but how am I supposed to become one when even in the past, I died because of a plan they had that was supposed to be aimed toward you." Questioned Xu Tian.

"Yes, precisely. However, the system will help and guide you, plus you will be able to use it in those new virtual games. I know you will be interested since there is no need for you to go into dungeons as there are many hunters who can do that in this day and age; also, my friend, your current self is way too weak to go against the weakest hunters so you must start from the very beginning again." Informed the older man.

"Okay, I understand now, my old friend, but why are you doing this?" Xu Tian asked.

"Well, my friend, it's for humanity's survival, so you should be on your way while I link the system to you and become a mortal." Says the older man.

"I shall do as you say, my friend, so for now, this is goodbye." Said Xu Tian.

"Yes, this is goodbye for now, my friend, and we shall meet again." Replied the older man.

After the last few words between the two old friends, Xu Tian walks away from his dear friend. Once Xu Tian was out of sight, the older man started imparting his last strand of power into the system.

"Sigh, I am sorry, my friend, for doing this to you after all these years." Said the older man, looking in the direction his dear friend went in.

While Xu Tian is walking, he sees a blue prompt pop up.

Xu Tian got the floating glowing transparent prompt in front of him but pushed it to the side so he could find his alley. He found the alleyway he was in before within five minutes, so now all Xu Tian had to do was find a comfy spot to be in so he could check his equipment.

"Oh, my friend, you are back. I have been waiting for you to come since midnight." Said the man who had given Xu Tian the information from before.

"Sir, why are you still here at a time like this." Xu Tian asked the man.

"I wanted to give you my contact information so you can contact me if you ever needed anything, but then you just disappeared, so I have been waiting." The man replied to Xu Tian in a slightly caring tone but seemed to have a little motive behind it.

"What's the catch tho? I know this isn't for just what you say it is." Xu Tian asked the man, who was being very suspicious.

"I want you to come to work for me as a model as you are very handsome but just need a lot of cleaning up." The man said with a little bit of happiness.

"So you want me to work for you for free, but I get help when needed." Xu Tian asked in an annoyed tone.

"Yes, that is precisely it, so will you agree and come work for me." Replied the man with more excitement.

"I will not, as I'm okay with how I live right now, so it would be best to go our separate ways." Xu Tian said to the man in an aggressive tone.

"If you change your mind, please contact me." The man said while handing Xu Tian his business card.

"Will do." Xu Tian said while grabbing the business card.

Soon after taking the card, the man left extremely quickly as if he had something urgent to do elsewhere. The man was out of sight momentarily, so Xu Tian looked for a comfortable spot in the garbage to lay and see his equipment.

'Alright, time to look at my equipment and see how op I will become.' Xu Tian thought while sinisterly laughing and making the prompt go back into his view of vision.
