Michael was strolling through the forest searching for the stream he heard. He was confident he wouldn't find any monster since it was so close to Orario.

When he finally reached the stream he marveled at the sight. It has been a while since he was outside anyways.

As he kneeled down to drink some water, he couldn't help being taken back by his own looks. He looked like Houtarou Oreki from Hyouka(At least at this age), except his were a deep blue instead of green and he looked really young. He didn't really mind the stoic face he saw in the reflection.

He found a a tree he would probably be sleeping in for a while and decided to clime up.

He was also curious to see what would be available in the package and decided to check it out.

He selected both the sword and the battle gloves to see what they would look like. As soon as he put on both gloves it felt like they fused to his hands. He saw them melt into his skin before leaving behind S shaped symbols on his hands.

He was shocked to saw literally melt into his hands, shocked when he saw their ability, but niw he was confused.

'Who the hell is Karma, is that my new name?' Michael couldn't remember when he got a new name, but now that he thought about, it was better to start his new life from scratch.

Karma went on to pick up the white sword but was surprised nothing happened. He was confused until he saw the sword's status :

Karma almost threw the sword if not for its value. He knew that these blades required the wielder to have a certain amount of skill before he could wield them.

He sighed as the blade vanished into what he would assume to be the system inventory. He clicked on manual and wasn't that surprised by them since he had gotten the sword. What really surprised him were the last two manuals:

He could totally become a powerhouse with these techniques in Danmachi, but these techniques require patience. Extreme patience and dedication to the craft. He was willing to put in the work. After all he finally had control of his own life.

He had four years until the main events. Not that he really cared. It was more to sate his own curiosity about the main characters.

He finally figured out which eye ability he wanted to use his [FREE Eyes Coupon] on. It had the rather basic ability of boosting the user's combat abilities. It was the only eye ability that he could probably afford to integrate into his weak body right now since it doesn't have heaven defying prowess. Plus it looked cool.

Karma activated the coupon and thought about the ability he wanted: The Eye Flame.

As soon as the ticket vanished he clutched his head as he fell to the ground. His right eye then erupted in a flame and the pain more than doubled.

He laid there screaming soundlessly for about an hour, which seemed more like eternity to the young boy. As soon as the small flame flickered out Karma fell asleep, with a strangely satisfied smile on his face
