13 Doji's Story

Doji breathed heavily and cooled down after few seconds with his eyes becoming clear.He clasped his hands towards Ethan in apology.

"Am sorry,I overreacted"

Ethan smiled and nodded towards Doji,he could feel the sincerity in Doji's apology it appeared he had a deep dislike for his family members.

"So tell me about you"

Doji this time decided to strike the conversation.

Ethan sighed and stared at Doji who had recovered his friendly appearance.

"I'm a lad named Ethan who has no knowledge of the whereabouts of his parent,born with an elemental and weapon talent,living in an extremely poor clan where we fight to survive!!"

Ethan unwittingly clenched his fist with sadness and determination expressed on his face,he had just poured out his heart and life in those few sentences.

Doji was silent as he stared at Ethan with seriousness in his eyes.It was crazy but he wished he was in Ethan's shoe where he fought to survive.

His blood always roared for a life of industriousness where he would fight with his own power from the beginning of his life till he soared through the skies.

Doji suddenly had shock on his face as he suddenly remembered something.

"You are an elemental warrior?!"

Ethan was surprised at the question Doji asked him but he answered all the same.

"Yes!"

"Butttt....but ..youuuu" Doji stammered as though he had heard something incomprehensible.

Ethan had confusion in his eyes,he couldn't understand what was going on.

Ravu which had been sleeping all along opened its eyes and stared at Ethan with admiration.

Seeing this made Ethan become more confused.

"You were able to feel Ravu's presence even though you were not sure,right?!!"

Ethan nodded his head,the uncomfortable feeling.But he could not understand what was so special about it.

"Are you sure you are an elemental warrior?!!"

Doji asked once again as though he had been told something serious which hurt him but wants to be told later that it was all a joke.

"Yes am an elemental warrior!! in fact I posses double elements"

Ethan's confusion had become so deep that if he was asked that same question again it would turn to anger.

Doji shook his head and smiled bitterly he just had to accept it.

"You are not simple at all,Ravu is a Sedron beast with an high level cultivation base coupled with him been a darkness elemental beast"

"He is almost invisible in the dark,we passed through several level four Sedron beast and none of them noticed our presence!!,but you were able to feel Ravu even though it was vague,this is something you should be absolutely proud of!!"

Doji at first was thinking perhaps maybe Ethan was a beast warrior or above,he could see that Ethan was still an early stage series warrior which was far below a level four beast.

Finding out that Ethan was just an elemental warrior caused him a lot of shock.

Ravu stared at Ethan with deep emotions in its eyes which no one could understand.It didn't take long before Ravu closed it's eyes and drifted into sleep once again.

Ethan felt as though a bomb of shock was blasted in his body, he could not help but fidget a bit,he never knew his senses were so sharp,could it be a cause of the mist.

Doji smiled towards Ethan and Ethan did the same after calming down his racing heart.

They conversed all through,with Ethan constantly shocking Doji with his knowledge and Doji amazing Ethan with his exploits.Little did they know that they had just sealed a life long unbreakable friendship.

Deep in the Sedron forest.A thin tree stood tall with its crown bending towards the ground.

As humongous as it was its branches were like that of a timberling.The branches appeared a bit strange,one could see rays of scarlet red energy flickering through the body of the branches which were precisely eight in number.

"It is only a matter of time before the red joy crystallizes on the body of the branches!!!"

A young lad with long dark hair concealed within the dark shadows of trees uttered as he stared at the huge tree.

He appeared not to be alone as a silhouette appeared beside him.

"Acquiring the branches would not be easy"

The silhouette uttered in a feminine voice.

"I know,within the next few days several beasts would gather here waiting to break the branches"

"But my problem is not the beasts but rather warriors present in the forest!!"

"What's your plan" asked the silhouette.

"I Oscar have a huge plan!!!" said the lad as he laughed mischievously.

The expression on the face of the silhouette was not clear but she murmured some words to herself which only her could hear.

"I can't wait to get my hands on those branches,master said not only would it increase my cultivation it would also grant me more essence for my Blood breaker technique"

"Outrightly increasing our chances in the competition!!!" said Oscar with untold joy on his face.

The silhouette just nodded and began to leave Oscar, Oscar sighed and followed closely behind.

The golden sun rose dispersing the darkness of the night,the skies became lively once again and the air refreshing.

Ethan and Doji didn't sleep throughout the night, the more they conversed the more they became addicted to each other.

Ethan yawned with his eyes red and bulging as though it would drop,Doji laughed and rested his head on a tree sensing how tired he was.

Ethan knew he couldn't sleep again,another day had come meaning an additional day of training.

He was ready to leave,before he suddenly remembered Doji,he had become extremely familiar with him as though he had known him for a long time, it still felt strange to Ethan but he could feel Doji was someone he could trust.

"What are your plans Doji"

"To be true with you I don't have one" said Doji as he shook his head.

Ethan was surprised,he could not understand why Doji would leave his family without a plan or mission for coming to the outside world.

"Why are you in the forest in the first place"asked Doji as he stared at Ethan,it had entirely skipped his memory to ask Ethan why he was here,cause it appeared he had been here for a long time.

Ethan sighed,the question seemed to have brought back the feeling of the pressure this training meant to him.

"I came to train so as to become strong enough to participate in the district competition which would admit me into a sect where I would earn enough money to alleviate the poverty in my clan"

Doji's eye sparkled at the words Ethan just said, he could understand the pressure placed on Ethan,it was like carrying the future of the whole clan on his head,if he failed the clan would suffer if he passed then the clan would forever remember him for good.

"I admire you Ethan" said Doji with all sincerity.

Ethan didn't feel surprised about Doji's word,a whole night of discussion had made him understand Doji a bit, he loved challenges.

"Ethan,I have something to say and I hope I can trust you" Doji's playful voice suddenly became serious.

Ethan was startled, he practically didn't know what to say but he managed to give an answer.

"I seriously don't know what to say"

Doji didn't feel any setback at Ethan's word it was as though he knew what Ethan's true reply was.

Ravu which had being sleeping all along opened its eye and stared at Ethan.

"The eyes of we the Abyssal Eder family always portrayed our powers,normal people believe all of us have black cold eyeballs,but that's false,there are several colours it depends on how dense your dark flame is"

Ethan nodded his head,he could now understand.

"My green coloured eyes is a colour that has never appeared before,the elders of my family said my flames are so deep and dense that it might even be more powerful than that of our ancestor."

"This produced a huge storm in the family, and ever since then my life had been on the risk people didn't want to see me grow,if not for my father I would have been killed a long time ago"

"As i began to cultivate and grow strong,fear began to grow in the hearts of my so called family members aren't they suppose to be happy!!!,it finally reached a point when the higher ups decided to kill me,my father's power was limited he could do nothing,but he was able to know of the plot against me"

"What they actually wanted is my eyes,they would pluck it out and use a secret method to take over my powers and my sword"

Doji's eye were already red,he pulled out a short green sword from his robe which was very thin and sharp.

Ethan suddenly felt a ting from his sword immediately the green sword appeared,it was faint but Ethan caught it.
