36 Chapter 36

"So what do you guys think?" I asked the others. "Did I really just have a vision of the third leader and his son or am I just going crazy?"

Estrella shook her head "No. You're not going crazy. You're just recalling the past memories of the past weapons before you. Since the oldest Gun must have had most of the memories, the moment he died all the memories flooded into you."

"Has this also happened to you?" I asked her

She nodded and told us about the memories she had from the "Blackout" as she called it.

Luna raised her hand "I…also had a memory. It was from my sister"

Estrella looked over at her and said "You don't need to tell them about it"

Luna glanced over at her and looked down as she blushed "It's alright. It could be a clue about what we're supposed to be doing as we go further along with the map." She looked back up and smiled over at Estrella "Besides, you'll take care of me when I'm sad. Just like you used to"

Estrella's eyes widened when she saw her smile and she turned away from Luna with reddened cheeks.

I tilted my head as I looked at them back and forth.

Are they…?

My thought process was interrupted by Terre who asked "Why can't we just sneak back into your kingdom and ask your sister about the map?"

Luna looked back at Terre and said "It's impossible to ask the dead for answers"

We fell into an awkward silence for a moment before I spoke up.

"I also had a weird memory before the third leader"

I told them about the person who was killed and the conversation between the two other people.

"That's so weird and cool! Two completely different seasons right next to each other! The world is so amazing! I want to go out and explore it." Cielo said

I shook my head. "I don't think it was on earth."

Cielo's face scrunched up and asked "Then what the hell was it? A real dream you had before the memory?"

I wasn't sure myself.

"I had a similar experience too!" Luna said

Estrella looked deep in thought as she admitted to also having a similar experience.

"It felt so familiar but unfamiliar at the same time." She said

"This might seem far-fetched and I know I'm not a weapon but I might have an explanation," Kind said from across the room. I had forgotten she was there.

"Estrella, you said that before regular humans came in contact with the weapons, they fell from the sky in a rock, right?"

Estrella nodded.

"Then it would make sense if they came in contact with other life forms from the sky" she concluded

"…other…life forms? From the sky?" Terre bursted out laughing "That's the stupidest thing you've ever said!"

"It makes sense! Doesn't it?" She turned back towards us.

I scratched my head "It does seem a bit crazy…"

"But it doesn't feel right to deny it" Cielo finished

"So you guys really believe her?" Terra asked as he pointed to a livid Kind. Kind stood and bonked him on the head. "Ouch" Terra said as he rubbed the spot on his head where she hit him.

"Let's say that what Kind said is true. What happened to the others before us? Because the more you guys remember, the worse the past seems to be getting." Cielo said

Estrella stood up and cleaned herself off.

"I think we should just wait for more memories to come back to us before we jump to conclusions," Estrella said and went to the kitchen.

We all agreed and before we knew it, night rolled around.

<Estrella>

Three days may have passed by but that's not enough time for us to be able to leave the town. At least not safely. Guards have been patrolling the entire town and coming into people's houses unexpectedly during the day. They've been at the house three times and three times we've been lucky to avoid them by having Kind distract them and hiding in the woods behind the house.

We've been starting to get anxious, mostly Terre though. So to pass the time, we've spent time in the woods to practice our weapons. They have gotten earlier to use since eve gotten further from the kingdoms which we found odd.

"What if we were just sick for a while?" Luna asked

"From what? A white light?" Terre asked

"A white light?" Gun asked

"Didn't you see it? It came from the south I'm pretty sure." Terre said as he swung his Scythe around at a tree.

He scratched my chin as he thought about it. "I might have seen a flash of light but not that much. Although, I did remember not being able to use my Gun for a short while and even after it was back, it didn't act like it usually did."

"Same for us but it didn't come back for a long while." I said "Actually, it didn't come back until we got further from the kingdoms"

"You're right! And the light came after the aircraft!" Luna said

"What do you mean?" Cielo asked "Cause all I saw was a light"

"In my sisters memories, the light came after an aircraft came crashing across the sky!" Luna was waving her shield in the air as if demonstrating how it went.

Her shield was fully healed now but she did fall a bit sick during the process. Before the light, we used to be able to break and repair our weapons without exhausting ourselves too much or to the point of actually hurting ourselves.

Cielo gasped "T-t-The the- the thing! The boy! The boy!"

"Breath" I said

Cielo stopped and took a breath before continuing "The boy we left behind in the other town! He was lying next to some weird thing! It looked like it crashed there and might have been carrying him!"

"He…he did." I said

"What the hell does this mean then? Do we just go back and ask him where he came from?" Terra asked

I took the map out. We still have more places to go but if we go in a certain pattern, it takes us back around in a circle.

"We should go to all the towns first this way" I showed them on the map. "This will circle us back around towards Sud. We stick to the plan and hope we find answers as we go on. That's all we can do"
