The Prophet of Doom

It didn't even take Lan Qing five minutes to get to the city center as it was close to B University.

She took out her phone to check the tracking app she created.

Finding her way through the crowd as she pushed her motorbike along, it didn't take long before she spotted Chu Nan waiting under the shade of a tree nearby.

She looked around the surroundings trying to check if a certain girl was there.

[Phew. Looks like I made it in time before that b*tch got here.]

She pushed her motorbike up towards Chu Nan.

Chu Nan having felt a presence coming closer and closer, he turned his head towards it.

Seeing Lan Qing, he took off his sunglasses in surprise.

"Lan Qing? What are you doing here?"

Scratching her head, she said with a fake laugh, "Hahaha, what a coincidence Ah Nan. I was meeting up with friends but they canceled last minute. Since fate has brought us together on this beautiful day, then we should go hang out!"

It was as though she was not offering, but merely stating a fact.

She did not even give Chu Nan the option to refuse.

If it were anyone else, they would have been suspicious when seeing her actions and her current outfit, but Chu Nan had no doubts whatsoever.

"Sorry, Lan Qing. I have plans with Jiang Ruo," he said with an apologetic face.

She made a face in disgust but quickly hid it before he noticed.

"That's okay! The more the merrier! I don't mind if she tags along," she said, ignoring Chu Nan's implied refusal.

"So, where is she?" she quickly interrupted when she noticed Chu Nan wanted to say something.

"She said she will be here at 2:30," he sighed in defeat.

Lan Qing lifted her wrist up and looked at the time on her watch.

Pretending to be shocked, she said, "What? 2:30? It's only 2:00 right now! Let's go find some place to chill first. There's still so much time left."

She pushed him onto the motorbike before he can refuse and quickly hopped in front of him and drove off.

"We should just stay there! There was a coffee shop just right there!" Chu Nan shouted against the wind.

"What?! I can't hear you!" Lan Qing pretended.

"I said there was a coffee shop right where we were before!"

"Sorry! I still can't hear you!" Lan Qing laughed inside.

Chu Nan let out a long sigh in defeat once again.

Ten minutes later, they arrived right outside of a gaming center.

Lan Qing took off her helmet as she got off the motorbike with Chu Nan.

"Let's go play a few games first!" she smiled brightly at him.

She knew Chu Nan was a big gaming fanatic, and as expected, his eyes twinkled with delight at the sight.

It seemed like she had successfully made him forget about his meet up with Jiang Ruo.

Her bright smile had a tinge of evil as Chu Nan pulled her along and ran inside.

Chu Nan soon lost track of time inside but was immediately brought back to reality by the ringing of his phone.

He took it out with clear annoyance written on his face and froze when he saw it was Jiang Ruo calling.

The call was cut before he could answer it and he saw that there were over ten miss calls from her.

The time showed 3:00.

He ran out of the gaming center in a hurry as he tried to call her back.

Lan Qing clicked her tongue and hurried after him.

As soon as she caught up with him outside, she heard him say, "Sorry Ah Ruo! I'll be there right away!"

He turned back to face Lan Qing.

"Lan Qing, let's hurry back! We should have just stayed there before. Ah Ruo has been waiting for a long time now," he spoke restlessly.

Despite his constant urging, Lan Qing took her time to slowly drive back, always blaming it on the traffic.

When they finally got back to the meeting point, they saw Jiang Ruo standing under the same tree Chu Nan had earlier.

Jiang Ruo was a petite and pure looking girl with long curly hair that was half tied into a loose bun with the rest dangling down to her waist.

She wore a short-sleeved white one piece with lace designs that came up just slightly above her knees.

A light pink ribbon with satin finish ran along her thin waistline, accentuating her slender figure.

She wore a pair of thick white two inch high heels and carried a small white handbag with a rounded top that matched her dress.

"She looks like an angel," Chu Nan muttered to himself with eyes of infatuation as he couldn't take his eyes off of Jiang Ruo.

Lan Qing rolled her eyes at him when she heard his whispers.

As they got closer, Jiang Ruo looked up from her phone.

Seeing Chu Nan, she was just about to smile but froze upon the sight of Lan Qing next to him.

Her lips twitched slightly as Lan Qing scoffed at her, but she quickly gave off her most gentle smile.

Chu Nan's mind totally filtered out her look of displeasure and only took in the sight of her ethereal smile.

He felt like Cupid had shot a thousand arrows directly into his heart at that moment.

"Ah Ruo, sorry for being late. You're not mad, right?" he said coaxingly as soon as he reached her.

For those of you wondering about the title, well.....I googled synonyms for c*ckblocker and apparently this was one of them.

Other ones included crotch nazi, doomsdayer, and even moaner.....yea don't ask.

The ah in ah nan is another endearing way to call someone, like xiao blah blah.
