Unexpected

(Catherine's POV)

After I and Hikaru ate, he left me without a word. Does he remember that he is with me? Anyways, I track the way back to the palace grounds. I saw Meimei. We just greeted each other and I noticed that she was looking at my clothes.

Before I bid goodbye to her, she told me, "Cath, do you want to change clothes?"

I looked again at my clothes, I'm still wearing my job uniform… I smiled at her, I didn't even noticed it. Meimei assisted me to a room, there's a dresser there. She gave me a blue – green kimono with a few floral design, she helped me to get dressed, she also tied my hair to a bun, she placed light make up in me and I wore wooden sandals. I looked different, I feel I belonged here.

I looked at the kimono and turned around, she looked at me confused, " Why do you look so happy?"

I stopped at the moment an looked at her, " I am so sorry. This is my first time wearing this" then I looked at the kimono. After I enjoyed the wardrobe, we went out of the room.

I thanked her. "Cath, you should always bring this"  she said and handed me a shawl the same color as my kimono.

It was almost autumn, and the leaves were starting to turn their colors. We bid goodbye to each other and I started to roam the palace. As I walked around , I felt something strange moving in me.  I looked at my stomach, it was big and round, "Am I pregnant? How?"

I am curious and scared at the same time, suddenly I heard soft pleas and cries. I carefully went to the place where I heard it. I saw a child maybe around 3 to 5 in age , and a woman in her 30s.

I approached the woman, " Are you lost?." She's still weeping, the child was behind her, holding onto her skirt peeking at me. She looks familiar, I noticed something, they were both pale; the woman held my hands, it was cold.

"You must save this kingdom from Frain" she released my hands and vanished. I shake in fear. "Who is Frain?" I asked myself and I feel a light kick in my tummy, I rubbed it a little.

I was tracking the place to the staircase, where Hikaru, me and Aiomi have encountered. I'm still wondering who were those people? Why did they showed to me? Why does she look familiar?

I rubbed my tummy again, " Am I Destiny?"

I noticed that it was getting dark, I must leave the place. I was almost near the staircase when I saw Hikaru. He was on the staircase, he was staring at nowhere. He was gloomy.  I tried calling his name but he didn't hear me.

Suddenly, I felt bad. My eyes feel so heavy, my sight is getting blurry, I feel weak, the place is turning around and around. My knees were shaking. I used my hand to balance myself on the wall and the other to support my tummy.

I saw Hikaru, he was running to me, I can't tell how he looked, but his voice , he was calling me worriedly. I fell down and passed out.

Moments later, I hear someone. He was calling my name. I can feel the warm hand wrapped around me and cold ground on my legs; my eyes are still heavy and are closed.

"Catherine!" he shouted.

His voice calling my name went louder and louder. He sounded like Hikaru.

"Hey, wake up!" he was shaking me, suddenly, "Please forgive me, I have to do this" I heard him apologized, then a loud and hard slap woke me.

"Aww!  That hurts…" I said while touching my right cheek, I feel his hand marked my face. I feel it is hot, I am teary eyed because of that. I looked at him furiously , but it changed immediately.

"Ahh! W-what the?" I screamed loudly that I even noticed him closing his ears. I was surprised at the guy who slapped my beautiful face.
