6 Family (Part-2)

Yasaki half snoozed in the snow under a tree as the warm sun passed him by, melting the snow as it soaked into his pants and against his waterproof jacket and into his silver hair that glistened with the sun and the water it retained from the melting snow underneath him and around him.

His first year in the academy was done and dusted as he passed without even batting an eye.

Kakashi was second and Rin came third. As for Obito, well… Obito passed with average grades but he was happy to at least pass. They had been let out early because it was the last day and the genin exam took place during the afternoon, which required two proctors to examine the Academy grounds for Fairness.

War had been called just over a month ago and so the village was short on ninja as well as being on high alert as well.

Tou-san wasn't around much as he was pretty much the commander out on the battlefield next to the Hokage with the Sannin, Uncle Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru. They pretty much work together as a four-man squad most the time but Orochimaru made Yasaki feel uneasy.

He always looked at him like he was going to eat him and his skin and eyes were weird.

"Hatake Yasaki", The chunnin called out

"I'm fine sensei. No, I wasn't kidnapped I just came out, to breathe, and yes I know there is a war going on… Let's just go back inside." Yasaki sighed as he walked with his sensei following after him.

"Where did you go? The academy nearly had a code red meltdown because you disappeared." Rin said but she seemed out of breath, both of his friends seemed to.

"I was outside, I don't like to be cooped up all of the time… Why are you two out of breath?" Yasaki asked, narrowing his eyes as Obito and Rin looked at each other.

"Kakashi took the graduation exam…" Obito said

"And?" he asked, waiting for the answer as Rin and Obito shared another look.

"He passed, a meeting had been called around this, that's why the academy was having a meltdown over your disappearance," Rin explained as she began to lead the way through the crowd with Yasaki and Obito following after her.

"I never knew the first years could take the exam?" Yasaki asked and Rin shrugged with a sigh.

"Measures for war have been taken, anyone at the age of five or over can be ninja according to Konoha's war laws.

"They've called for you to stand testimony" Rin continued to explain down the halls that they practically ran down.

"Testimony for what?"

"The rules state normally, they're sent back to the academy during their survival test with their jonin instructor but we haven't had anyone try to graduate so young since before Konoha was created, the last time was with the Shodai's brother, Senju Itama," Obito explained and Yasaki whistled sarcastically.

"Shows how much attention I pay in history," Yasaki said before they stopped outside a door being guarded by two ANBU. Rin and Obito gulped as Yasaki stood normally.

"Hatake Yasaki?" The one ANBU asked and Yasaki nodded. "Please go in immediately." He said, opening the door and Yasaki walked into the chaos of a room. There sat important people of Konoha, clan heads as he noticed some of them.

At the front, stood his Otou-san, the Hokage, and the Sannin

"You summoned me?" Yasaki asked

"Come here Yasaki," Sakumo asked gently yet commandingly with some anger laced into his voice as Yasaki quickly made his way over to his father.

"Perform the transformation jutsu and the clone jutsu." He commanded gently and grasped his shoulders gently to face the rest of the room.

"Why?"

"Just do it"

"Transform," Yasaki said as he held the hand seal and in a poof..!! of smoke, there stood an exact copy of his father before it poofed..!! away and Yasaki formed another hand seal and a clone was created next to him before it faded away and the room was filled with murmurs.

"As I thought", murmured Sakumo

"Yasaki, My son, Do you want to become a Genin?", asked Sakumo as he gently knelt in front of Yasaki

Yasaki shook his head, "Do you want me to?"

Sakumo smiled, "No. I want you to complete 4 years in the academy"

Yasaki made his mind right there and then, "I won't become a Genin then"

Sakumo smiled and caressed his cheeks, "Believe in me, sweetie"

Yasaki nodded.

Sakumo stood up and with murderous Intent, he yelled in the room, "I, Hatake Sakumo, The leader of Hatake Clan, Exercise my Clan Leader rights, and decline the offer of turning the next Clan head, Hatake Yasaki's plea of becoming a Genin"

"Make him a genin too." Another voice said suddenly as angry murmurs filled the room.

"Enough!" The Hokage said sternly as the room quietened down.

"Clan Leader has used his rights, you lots don't have the authority to go against that, Meeting adjourned. Kakashi will stay a genin unless his sensei says otherwise"

Sakumo immediately hugged Yasaki while Laughing.

Yasaki tried pushing him away as he could hear some of the ninjas in the room laughing but then gave up.

"where's Kakashi?" Yasaki asked quickly before Sakumo could get sucked into a conversation with the Sannin.

"He's in the classroom next doors," Sakumo said as Yasaki nodded and wormed his way through the crowd and exited, going to the classroom next doors.

"Congratulations Otouto," Yasaki said as Kakashi's eyes widened at the voice and then softened as he looked down and back up at his Nii-san's face.

"So. You took the exam", he asked smiling

"Yea, the academy didn't teach anything worth learning anyway", Kakashi said slowly

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I knew that tou San wouldn't agree and you would have told him regardless", He said

Yasaki smiled and kneel in front of Kakashi

"Old man didn't want us to be Genins yet because he knows what could happen if anything goes wrong. You did wrong Otou not telling either of us"

Kakashi looked down

"But make no mistake, You are precious Kakashi, we would be happy for you regardlessly"

"So, you won't be against me trying to become Genin?"

Yasaki chuckled, "No, Instead I am happy for you"

Kakashi grinned

"But you have to know that becoming a Genin means you get to be an Adult, and you can make your own decisions, and No matter what, Tou san and I can not interfere in your decisions"

Kakashi nodded

"You are nothing but 5 this year, so, the decisions you make will still have to be through me and tou san understood?"

"Yes"

Sakumo smiled quietly as he watched his older son lecturing Kakashi and a shadow appeared behind him.

"Very Mature. That one" He laughed as Sakumo turned to face the young man.

"He's very placid, as I'm sure you know Minato." Sakumo laughed and Minato smiled.

"Though… It would have been nice to train both of them. Too bad Yasaki turned down the offer." Minato sighed as they watched Yasaki still lecturing Kakashi.

"You still couldn't have trained him Minato", Sakumo said with a smile

"I'm proud of you Kakashi." Yasaki grinned and Kakashi blushed under his mask as his eyes smiled as well, hearing that from Yasaki made his chest bloom with an almost overwhelming feeling of warmth that felt like it burned but in a good way.

"Well, now that you're finished Lecturing your otouto…" A voice came as both Kakashi and Yasaki turned to see Jonin Minato coming to them.

"Minato-san." Yasaki smiled and bowed a little.

"Hello, Yasaki Kun… I'm going to be Kakashi's sensei for now until we find a team for him though I am saddened to hear you didn't take the offer Yasaki-chan." Minato said as he leaned back against one of the tables.

"I would have liked to take it but I know I'm not ready yet… See you at home Kakashi and good luck, Minato-san is quick." Yasaki smiled as he got up and left out of the classroom and Kakashi looked up at his sensei.

"He's not ready? Is his Combat Efficiency low, Kakashi?" Minato asked, with confusion and Kakashi scoffed.

Low Combat Efficiency? Him? Yeah right

"You have no Idea Sensei", Kakashi bowed

Yasaki was in the kitchen, cooking dinner when he heard a stumble by the door as it opened and a groan.

He turned off the heat and headed over, leaning against the doorframe, covering his mouth with his hand, hiding a grin.

He had never seen Kakashi so beaten up before, and Minato was helping his new student home.

"How did it go?" Yasaki asked as Kakashi looked up at him with a glare.

"Don't ask, I can barely move after I pulled something in my back," Kakashi muttered and Yasaki walked over to him and stood behind him.

"Relax…" Yasaki said gently as he placed his hands on Kakashi's shoulders.

Yasaki grabbed Kakashi in a bear hug, picked him up and, Back slammed him a little.

Kakashi felt his whole spine click. He let out a yell of pain as Yasaki set him back on the floor but held Kakashi as he was shaking from the pain.

"Go upstairs and run yourself a hot bath and get ready for it. I'll be up there to add some stuff to it that'll help" Yasaki said as he patted Kakashi's head and pushed him gently to head upstairs.

"What's happened?!" Sakumo yelled over the railing in a panic and saw Kakashi heading up the stairs and Yasaki and Minato standing there sheepishly.

"I clicked his spine into place. Everything is fine, dinner will be ready soon. You should rest a little" Yasaki said

"Would you like something to drink Minato-san?" Yasaki asked, closing the door behind him

"Tea or coffee?" Yasaki asked as he entered Kitchen

"Some tea would be wonderful," Minato said as Yasaki nodded and prepared three cups and was back at the cooking pot.

"How did he do?" Yasaki asked, looking up with blue eyes that were slightly lighter than Minato's own.

"He did well for his age and height but there's a lot of tweaking I'll have to do with him… He's picked up some bad habits when he fights." Minato said as he graciously accepted his tea and sipped it.

"I hope you don't mind miso soup with eggplant?" Yasaki asked as he served up and Minato blinked, dumbfounded.

"Uh no?" He said and then laughed. "You didn't have to invite me in while you're having dinner you know?" He asked

"I made the soup to include you, I know tou-san will want to know about his son… He's proud of Kakashi to take the initiative himself." Yasaki smiled and Minato chuckled.

"You're very mature for your age as is Kakashi, But you are on another level"

"..."

"how old are you two again?" Minato asked and Yasaki smiled as he carried the plates to the table and Minato helped.

"Kakashi is five and I'm seven. Nearly eight" Yasaki smiled as he sat at the table, next to Minato as they enjoyed their tea.

"When's your birthday?" Minato asked and Yasaki held up a finger.

"Ah..!! I forgot something, I will be back" He said, hopping off the chair and heading upstairs.

Minato heard another pained yell from Kakashi and he laughed as soon as he swallowed his tea… Dinner was going to be very interesting.

Minato sighed contently as he sat with Sakumo at the dining table. Kakashi and Yasaki were busy cleaning up in the kitchen.

He had been talking to Sakumo about how well Kakashi fights and such, anything the man wanted to know and now they sat in comfortable silence, enjoying their tea.

"So, how come Yasaki so mature for his age?" Minato asked

"Because he had to pick up the slack of his useless Father"

"..."

Sakumo sighed with a sad smile as he sipped his tea.

"Before, He avoided a question of mine earlier about his birthday? Is it related to why he became so mature at such a young age" Minato asked and Sakumo kept his face neutral and sighed again

"Let's talk about something else Minato" Sakumo laughed slightly and Minato nodded.

"Before I asked him why he didn't take a Test. He said that he was not ready. Is his combat efficiency Low? Is he.. weak?" Minato said and Sakumo chuckled.

"Weak? Him?"

"Is he not?"

"Why don't we do one thing Minato? Try fighting him"

"What?"

"Just do it, It will give you a proper answer to your question"

Minato was confused but he nodded slowly

"Yasaki, Go all out against him, Try to kill him", Sakumo said smiling

Yasaki looked confused but eventually nodded, 'Why am I doing this again?'

"Minato, you should go all out from the very start as well, Try to kill him as well", Sakumo said

"A-Are you sure Sakumo san. He is merely 7"

"Just do What I say. You won't be able to beat him otherwise"

"what?", Minato looked at Yasaki with Confusion written all over his face.

"Ready?", Sakumo said, as Minato took out the special Kunai with and Yasaki raised his hands and clenched his fists.

"Why didn't he take out his sword yet?", asked Kakashi while Sakumo smiled

"A swordsman is never without a sword, do not take his empty hands as being without a weapon"

"Set", Sakumo yelled

White Chakra appeared all over Yasaki's body

Minato lost his composer for a second and looked at Sakumo who was standing there with a smile on his face

Minato smiled as well, as he took a stance once more

"Start", Sakumo yelled

As soon as the yell was heard Yasaki thurst his punch forward.

"White Fang"

In a second, six small white swords appeared around his wrist and shot forward towards Minato.

Minato jumped back and took a sidestep to dodge the incoming assault. As the swords turned their direction of assault and continue their onslaught.

Minato leaped to one side and ducked the one coming at his back. Eventually, the attacks surrounded him as one sword came at him, suddenly, Minato slashed his kunai in a weird direction as the sword reached him and he disappeared in a yellow flash.

"..."

Minato flashed beside and the attacked reached Yasaki in a mere second. Since the attack was already done before flashing.

Yasaki disappeared and turned into light Particles. As the attack went through and past him.

'What just happened?'

Minato could only recoil later, as he ducked the incoming slash, coming at him from behind, Minato swiftly turned around and slashed at the open Yasaki from that attack, This attack was incredibly fast.

Before Minato's attack could reach him, Minato's attack was parried from the unknown force as Minato was forced to flip back

"..."

'what is happening? what blocked my attack?'

"..."

Yasaki stood there. Legs slightly apart, and Black Longsword Facing downwards.

Minato threw a Kunai up, as the Kunai turned into the clone, as it used the scroll, to rain down the Kuani in the entire field.

Yasaki swayed a little, and the entire rain missed him by hair breath.

Everyone including was shocked,

'So many Kunai, All of them dodged without even taking a single step, Incredible. He is getting better with age, But Minato is serious now', Sakumo thought watching the battle

Shocked Minato took out twin Kunai and flashed.

His blade appeared in front of Yasaki's face. Doing triple thrust in an instant.

The Attack was Parried without Yasaki doing anything.

While hitting him, he flashed behind Yasaki and stabbed into his back

Another strike stabbed through his shoulder

A triple thrust in front of him once more

He flashed around the back of Yasaki, unleashing his thrust attacks, quickly overwhelming Yasaki with blocking sound, the moment Yasaki failed to follow Minato, he becomes untouchable.

Yasaki was merely standing there, while Minato was fluttering all over the place.

Yet, Yasaki was not at all harmed in the first place.

"Tou Chan, How is he doing this?"

Sakumo smiled, "That's the Protection of the hundred and twenty-eight spinning Swords. Your Kaa san's ultimate defensive technique"

"What?"

"She mastered it when she was 18. And, she was still far slower than Yasaki over there, who is mixing it with After Image clones"

'He is getting better and better'

"Then... Nii san will win?"

"You are thinking too much Kakashi, Minato is an Elite Jonin, this technique will be broken as soon as Minato gets a little more serious"

Minato flashed, again and again, stabbing slashing, although those attacks are being blocked, it's taking a great troll on Yasaki who was narrowing his eyes.

Suddenly, his back was slashed

Kuuhh

Yasaki gritted his teeth

That one attacked got past by his defense of 128 spinning swords.

Another slash to his legs, another to his shoulder, Yasaki was in pain as he gritted his teeth and slammed his long sword to the ground

"Electromagnetic Shockwave"

Centralized around Yasaki, a Large electrified shockwave expended, which knocks Minato back along with his Kunais that were becoming a real threat at this point.

"Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu", Minato made hand signs in a blur as he disappeared

"..."

A Hand appeared from the ground and caught Yasaki's legs while pulling him in.

Yasaki was pulled in. Minato appeared tearing out the ground and slashed at Yasaki's head Showing no mercy and going for the kill.

The Attack went past and through Yasaki as he disappeared in Light Particles...

Minato gritted his teeth, This technique is becoming a Nuisance. He was stabbed from behind. But Minato flashed before he could get stabbed.

Yasaki eyes shined with anger as he swings his sword in a slash.

"Shining Wave"

Yasaki summons the bursts of light forward. As it Tracks Minato who basically just disappeared from the field.

Some far away on a tree branch, Minato watches the rays of Lights coming at him at Fast speed.

Minato flexed his palm and a Blue ball appeared in it.

"Rasengan", Minato muttered as Light Rays attacked him

He flashed and the attack missed entirely.

Everyone watched in shock, as Minato appeared out of nowhere and without even giving a chance to do anything, in an Instant, Minato slammed Rasengan into Yasaki's body

Yasaki couldn't hold it anymore, as he flew back

Minato's eyes widened as totally fine Yasaki was walking beside Minato

Minato threw a Huge amount of blood, as He was cut from the front. He kneeled after that attack.

"..."

Yasaki looked down at the side, Minato was kneeling and heavily breathing at this point, as Yasaki swing the sword at Minato, trying to kill him.

His Clone flashed and cut Yasaki back who was in mid-action.

"Gaaahhh

Yasaki threw blood, as he was cut from the back.

Yasaki threw blood after blood, as he let go of the Black sword because of the pain. He knelt and soon fell down, his mouth was open and he was in huge pain.

Minato too was in huge pain as they both fell Unconscious.

When Yasaki opened his eyes after a week, he saw Minato standing there smiling.

"Minato san", Yasaki said painfully

"How are you?"

"I am fine Minato san, How are you?"

"I am quite fine as well, That was a Wonderful Technique"

"It's called After Image. I am trying to make it my Signature Technique. That's why I am trying to improve it as much as I could"

Minato chuckled, "I know the feeling, I am trying to improve Flying Thunder God as much as I could as well"

"That Last Technique was quite destructive"

"It's called Rasengan, I am still trying to complete it though, If only I could figure out how to implement Nature Chakra in it"

"I see that you two are awake", Came Sakumo smiling

A week later, Yasaki lay on his bed as he stared at the snow falling outside his window.

The house was clean and too quiet without Kakashi or tou-san home… He'd rather be bored at the academy than at home because then at least he would have Rin to talk to.

He grinned suddenly as he wears warm clothes and ran out of the house.

"Rin! Open up!" Yasaki called as he got both knuckles knocking continuously.

The door finally opened with Rin glared at him, still in her pajamas and Yasaki grinned. "Want to come over today?"

"Over… You mean as in your house?" Rin asked as she wiped her eye and yawned.

"Well yeah, that is what I meant…"

"Well, This", Rin said hesitantly and blushing suddenly

Yasaki tilted his head in confusion, "What is it?"

"It's just, You know, your dad and brother aren't home, You shouldn't bring a girl like this. It's bad"

"Huh? I-It's not w-what I meant", Yasaki blushed

Rin giggled, "Want to come inside, My Kaa-san is Home"

Yasaki smiled helplessly, "Sure"

Yasaki gasped awake as he heard banging coming from downstairs and he stiffened… He should be all alone in the house.

Kakashi was away on a mission with Minato san and tou-san was out on a very important mission and shouldn't be back for another week when the academy starts up again for the New Year.

Yasaki's breathing picked up as he heard movement around the house now, moving up the stairs…

His door opened and his body was tense as he waited, watching the figure of a man move across his room and focused on breathing deeply and not letting him eyelids flutter even the tiniest bit.

The figure sat on his bed as he smelt the dirt and sweat of a man

"Was it the right choice?" Tou-san's voice said as his hand swept across Yasaki's hair

"tou-san?" Yasaki asked as Sakumo looked down at Yasaki with a tired smile and he sat up, wrapping his arms around Sakumo's neck as he stroked Yasaki's back. "You shouldn't be back yet, I was so scared it was someone else," Yasaki said in a whisper as he felt his father's arms wrap around him tightly.

"Silly boy, You are so strong already, What if anyone comes?"

"I was still scared of Ghosts", Yasaki said

Sakumo chuckled tiredly, "I'm sorry," Sakumo said in a cracking voice. "Tou san didn't mean to scare you," Sakumo said

"Do you want a cup of tea?" Yasaki asked and Sakumo laughed as Yasaki saw something glint in Sakumo's eye.

"No, that's perfectly fine. Go back to sleep, I just want to sit here for a while." Sakumo said as he tucked Yasaki back in.

"I still don't know if it was the right choice, after what I heard, when I returned with my living teammates…", Sakumo talked to no one as he left the room.

Yasaki gently opened his eyes

He was closest to his Tou san in this entire world, They argued for the longest period. Yet, there is no one alive who knows Sakumo as much as Yasaki. It also held true for Sakumo as well, who knows Yasaki like the back of his hand.

So, when Yasaki saw Sakumo distressed look, He instinctively knew something happened, But he didn't dare to ask.

Because he fears something really bad happened this time.
