3 FUTURE CHAPTER PREVIEW N.1 (C20 - C25)

Well, since I can't write two chapters for you every week, I decided to allow you to take a peek at what I have been preparing for the future chapters, so every week I'll be publishing a random chapter preview, and a full chapter as well.

Two years after the beginning of the game.

At the amphitheater, countless players watched with excitement as the user of <<Dual Blades>> and the user of <<Holy Sword>> would be fighting against each other in a public match! How couldn't they be excited? Three months after the game started the first <<unique skill>> user appeared and ever since then everyone had been looking forward to witnessing personally what the user of <<Abyss Walker>> could do against the user of the <<Holy Sword>> who had appeared just a month later.

As for why I didn't fight him, it was because it wasn't the time yet, I knew that I wouldn't be capable of killing him anyway due to the system assistance.

They were left disappointed since there wasn't a single moment where we engaged in a fight, besides, there were many rumor surrounding the 'Abyss Walker'(Basically the nickname everyone gave me), the first being that I'm the vice leader of the <<Shadow Watchers>>.

An obscure guild engulfed in mystery, no one truly knew how to contact them and all they knew was that this guild worked together with a few craftsmen guilds, and accepted jobs to kill criminals, murderers, and other types of villainous people, although they would first do an investigation, using a profession that seemed to be exclusive for the ones that were members of their guild and only if they considered the person someone harmful to the vast majority of the players would they then take action.

They believed I was the leader of the executors, the main force of the <<Shadow Watchers>>. It is also said that I myself exterminated the <<Laughing Coffin>> since they disappeared in a single night, just one day before they killed all the members of the <<Blue Knights>> a guild with more or less 30 players, the reason for that was due to some sort of information the frontline guilds received when they were preparing to attack the Laughing Coffin.

Everyone's eyes were focused on either Kirito or Heathcliff, they were merely waiting to see who would win. Kirito was looking at Asuna with determination on his face, she, however, was blushing as they looked at each other.

"Asuna, don't worry about me, in a way or another we will be together isn't that right?"

She lowered her head, as a tear fell from her eyes. "Kirito, even you saw what happened before, the <<Knights of Blood>> have changed, first Kuradeel then Garth, If our lives will be in danger just because of this stupid thing, I might as well leave the guild already..."

Kirito looked at her as his expression darkened, he clenched his fists and approached her, they looked at each other for a second before their faces approached and they kissed.

The crowd who came to watch looked at the couple with shocked gazes, they couldn't believe what happened in front of their eyes, the <<Flash>> of the KoB was actually dating the <<The Black Swordsman>>!

The majority of the male players looked at that scene with envy and anger, but I merely smirked, I was surprised when I discovered that a month ago as well, my actions changed too much the future, Kirito, and Asuna got together way earlier than it was originally meant to be.

As I looked at both of them I wondered how things had been for them, it has been a year since we last talked, and I was careful enough to hide my identity as the Abyss Walker the whole time, they didn't even know I was present here today.

Seeing how the two finished their preparations, I knew it was time to act, with a smile, a dark aura began to leak from my armor as my face was shrouded in shadows and I jumped inside the arena.

A two-handed sword appeared in my right hand and a tower shield in my left hand, this is <<Abyss Walker>> greatest perk, the ability to equip two two-handed items in my hands at the same time, but I could only use two types of equipment, one per hand, a defensive and an offensive item.

Before Kirito could accept the duel request, he suddenly stopped and looked upwards, there he saw something that frightened him, it was the armor of someone he couldn't distinguish from a murderer that Killed anyone he considered harmful for the players living in <<Aincrad>> without betting an eye, nightmares of the time he had no choice but to work together with him flashed in his memory.

Kirito couldn't help but take a step back seeing me falling down from the sky with my sword pointed towards Heathcliff.

The others finally followed Kirito's line of sight and gasped when they saw me, a man wearing a dark silver armor with a helmet based on the features of a wolf, the few parts of my body that weren't covered in armor were either shrouded in darkness or blue clothes.

In my right hand was the iconic sword that had already become my trademark, all of them were the items I got when I unlocked my <<unique skill>>, each piece of equipment become stronger with each time I leveled up, so I never needed to change my equipment after I got this set.

The people that came to watch Heathcliff and Kirito fighting suddenly stood up at my presence, adrenaline seemed to have rushed inside their veins.

You could even feel the excitement in the air as I firmly collided with Heathcliff's shield pulling him away from me for almost 7 meters, this was the difference in strength between us, I didn't have the system assistance like him, but I was the perfect combination of untamed power, incomparable dexterity, and unmeasurable vitality, I was basically a boss at this point of the game, all that time preparing was for this.

I wasn't twenty levels ahead of him for no reason, and seeing how shocked he was when he looked above my head, it seemed that he had already resorted to the system in order to forcefully look at my status.

"Abyss Walker, I presume." He spoke with a deep and profound voice, his eyes had an aura around them that you would expect from someone with real power in his hands.

"Murderer, kidnapper, and dreams destroyer I presume."

Hearing my words, everyone gasped, they couldn't understand what I was talking about, for them I was some sort of superhero, like batman, who was constantly fighting against evil, and Heathcliff was basically the same, but instead of working in the shadows, he worked under broad daylight.

As everyone thought about my words, Heathcliff suddenly started laughing. "You sure have a weird taste for jokes, aren't you mistaking me for someone else?"

His eyes gleamed with confidence as his voice was calm the whole time as if he was simply stating a fact.

"Yeah, he is the leader of the KoB, no way he would murder someone."

"You got a point, besides, look at the icon above their head, the one with the blood-red icon is the Abyss Walker, not Heathcliff, for all we know he is the actual murderer here"

An intense discussion broke out among the spectators, their opinions were pretty divided.

"Once I kill you everything will be explained anyway, there is no reason to keep this facade..." I looked at him and muttered the last word in a volume that only the people nearby could hear. "Kayaba."

Heathcliff's face sunk at that moment, but he smiled soon after, "Interesting, so be it them, a fight to the death we shall have."

He opened the menu and quickly sent me the invitation for a death duel.

Kirito and Asuna only stared at us with confusion on their faces, they couldn't understand what was happening, why the Abyss Walker called the leader of the KoB Kayaba, and why did he accept a death duel!?

Soon the counter above them disappeared and a message appeared for everyone.

[Begin, death duel!]

Seeing the type of fighting they were having, the atmosphere of the amphitheater suddenly became heavy and everyone got serious, what sort of grudge the two had to even go so far!?
