4 Blood Sword(4)

As the group of four were forcibly breaking through the barriers surrounding the secret realm and forcibly maintaining it's stability. They were flying through a region of shattered space as when the core area was activated, the realm was isolated and immediately started imploding on itself, Bai Heng couldn't help cursing:

"Which bastard was such an idiot. He actually set up a mechanism to destroy the realm as soon the legacy is handed down. Sounds like he wants to kill everybody in the realm except the one who got the legacy."(Bai Heng)

"You might be right. It looks like he wants to kill everybody in the realm but I cannot fathom the reason. They should be no reason for this to occur."(Aloysius)

"That depends. I have seen madmen who like to kill people because they consider it fun or because they can do it. I wonder which person set up this realm, it will take a large amount of skill to set up this space isolating formation." (Old man Gu)

After sometime the group made it into the secret realm. The sight before their eyes was terrible, cracks were forming everywhere in the realm and pieces of the realm were being thrown into the empty space around the waves where they were ground to dust.

Upon seeing the situation, the four headed to the core area which was a huge palace which was colored a bright scarlet like fresh blood was used as a paint. As they were moving they saw a large number of cultivators moving inwards too, everybody was in a panic trying to save their lives.

Suddenly a projection of a large greatsword appeared in the air, the sword was black with a a bright red groove down the center. Lei Seven took a deep breath and gloomily said:

"It's the Blood Sword Emperor. Now, it makes sense." (Seven)

The faces of the other two darkened while Bai Heng remained expressionless.

' The Blood Sword Emperor was an Eternal Being from the era before the wars. He had cultivated as a vagrant cultivator who specialized in killing. He used to work as a professional hitman as long as the price was right, he would dare to kill anybody. After the war began, he was asked to stop accepting requests to kill strong members of the intelligent races, but he refused. So, the obvious thing happened and he was lynched to death. But before dying, he did cause some losses among the cultivators. He was labelled as a madman due to his refusal to stop even in precarious time. Even though he was dead, he still wanted to drag more people to his death.'

"I just hope, the person who obtained the legacy is still sane."(Bai Heng)

They reached the blood red palace and entered immediately. Inside they saw a large group of cultivators surrounding a single corpse which was holding the same sword that was visible in the sky.

The surrounding cultivators were shouting and screaming in an unintelligible manner. The four men took a grasp of their surroundings before quickly heading towards their clan disciples.

Bai Heng landed in front of the five disciples from his clan while smiling and said:

"Well. Why aren't you panicking and shouting like the others? Don't you know the realm is collapsing?"

Upon seeing Bai Heng, all of them let out a sigh of relief, while Bai Xi smiled widely, ran towards her uncle and hugged him while putting her face in his chest:

"I knew. You would come, Uncle. So why do we need to panic?(Bai Xi)

Bai Heng smiled and said:

"That's some faith. You have in me. What if I was too slow or too weak?"(Bai Heng)

"Impossible. Uncle is the strongest."(Bai Xi)

Bai Heng removed her hands which were moving suspiciously on his body and motioned them to line up. He gestured with his hand and immediately a portal formed in front of him.

"Let's move"(Bai Heng)

All of them immediately entered before Bai Heng stepped forward suddenly he felt an intense gaze. He looked and saw the prime disciple of the Quiet Moon Pavilion looking his way. He smiled at her and then looked at the corpse of the person who obtained the legacy. He noticed the other three men looking at the sword too. He made eye contact with them before gesturing towards the vagrant cultivators. The other three looked at him for some time before nodding. He immediately pulled out a furnace before throwing the sword in it.'

'Hmm.. that girl. What's her name? is staring at me. Do I have something on my face? Well forget it, Blood Sword Emperor's legacy is useless for me. But it can create potential trouble in the future if it falls in the hand of some cultivator. I obtained it at the expense of potential recruitment but those fools will not know, the importance of their giveaway gift.'

Bai Heng waved towards the three other men and stepped into the portal.

The exit of the portal was in a gigantic villa at the Red River city which belonged to the Bai Clan, as he stepped out he was tackled by a fast moving object. He steadied himself and acted like nothing happened and spoke:

"All of must be tired. Go and rest. We will stay here for a few days."(Bai Heng)

The four disciples stared at the strange scene of a woman hugging onto a man while sticking her entire body on him and making a satisfied smile. It made a very promiscuous atmosphere which was completely out of a place with Bai Heng's calm and serious voice:

'Are you really his niece? This is too much from any perspective and why does elder look so unfazed. It's like this has happened several times before.'

But in the end, the disciples were too tired and decided to rest and didn't bother commenting about it.

Then Bai Heng looked down towards the girl hugging him and smiled and said:

"Can you get off now? I am already an old man and need to sleep after working so hard."(Bai Heng)

Bai Xi heard this and shook her head while whispering:

"Uncle. I was so scared inside the realm, how can you be so heartless and abandon me. I need comforting."(Bai Xi)

Bai Heng immediately plucked her off and placed her on the ground

"Not interested. Go and rest. I will need a report tomorrow. Now I am busy with some other work."(Bai Heng)

Bai Xi looked at him pouted

"You are lying. How can you be busy when you just came back."(Bai Heng)

Bai Heng didn't respond and just disappeared from the room. Bai Xi stood there while staring at the spot where he was standing and despondently muttered to herself:

"Everyone says I am beautiful and charming enough to seduce any man but the one I want does not even look at me."(Bai Xi)

Bai Heng had a lot of issues to take care of, after the realm was destroyed. He had to send a report back to the clan, meet with the other sects, Investigate their new disciples and even process the two legacies in his hand.

He wrote letters to the clan, the other sects and the intelligence gatherers and then immediately headed to the craftsman district of the Red River City. The craftsmen district was very large and filled with all kinds of noises and screaming. All the craftsmen from tailors, blacksmiths, artists etc, were present in the craftsmen district which led to a chaotic scene caused by the craftsmen and the customers.

He headed to a large building radiating warm red light similar to that from a forge, the sign on the front had large words written 'God's Hand'. The God's Hand was the name of a large blacksmith association made by the earth fairy race, which were similar to humans except they were a energy life form with core made of different rocks or metals. They were innately gifted in matters related to the attributes of earth or metal.

I had maintained a special business relationship with them and from time to time asked for some favors. I decided to submit the Ocean Emperor's ring to them because the material of the ring was one I did not recognize, so I left the analysis to the experts. I gave the ring to the branch head named Landsteiner while requesting their help.

"Sir Heng. Don't worry, we are professionals. You can trust us."(Landsteiner)

Landsteiner was a typical earth fairy with stout body, rough and huge hands with callouses and a heavily bearded but well featured face which gave a sense of heaviness to people looking at him. He gave me some surreptitious looks while rubbing his hands.

I sighed, this was their problem

"You will have 15% bonus for any significant findings regarding the materials. Do not remove my seal and get the usual contract of secrecy. I am willing to pay you an extra 30% to shut your mouths."(Bai Heng)

'These bastards were innately greedy as a race. Even a repeat VIP customer like me only received a once in a lifetime 1% discount coupon from them. They acted like they wanted to stab me and steal that coupon from me when they handed it to me. Well, it doesn't matter as I always use the clan's money.'

Landsteiner immediately smiled broadly:

"It's always a pleasure to do business with you Sir Heng. You understand us quite well."(Landsteiner)

I didn't bother replying and walked away before they could try their tricks to scam me from my money.

After making my way back to the villa. I headed down to the basement where I pulled out a small orb radiating a blue light. I knocked on the orb and started speaking:

"Ocean Emperor. You can answer me now, if you pass me your legacy and treasure house location. I am willing to sign a blood contract to agree to build you a brand new body."(Bai Heng)

Suddenly a furious ancient sounding voice came from the ring:

"Bai Heng, you killed my student and now expect me to help you. You can forget about obtaining anything from me."(Ocean Emperor)

Bai Heng simply chuckled:

"You expect me to believe that you really about that boy, If you weren't this weak and wished to hide, would you bother with a insignificant character like him. You would have abandoned the boy as soon as possible if you had a better choice. Now, come it is a pretty good deal from my opinion. You get a new body while I get some treasures and cultivation manuals which I will probably never use."(Bai Heng)

The Ocean Emperor immediately stopped his shouting and gave it a bit of thought before adding:

"The contract will also contain a condition in which you and members of Bai Clan will never harm me."(Ocean Emperor)

"That is acceptable but only if you reveal everything from the correct method of opening the treasure house, all the traps, all your secret hideouts and even all the dangers in your cultivation manuals. Oh and the Bai Clan will not harm you till you reach the Sage Immortal stage."(Bai Heng)

"Unacceptable. This is a scam, the value of the things I have is much more than what you are giving me."(Ocean Emperor)

Bai Heng started laughing loudly

"Idiot. Now you are too weak to negotiate with me. All it takes is a twitch of my finger and your soul will disperse. I can kill you if we don't make a deal, the loss of your items is meaningless to me."(Bai Heng)

The Ocean Emperor fell silent, while Bai Heng gave him time to think, After nearly an hour, a forced voice came out from the orb.

"Fine. But the body should be better than Venerable Immortal level."(Ocean Emperor)

Bai Heng let out a chuckle

"Good decision. I look forward to the cooperation. Here's is the contract, you can read it."(Bai Heng)

After that the entire night was passed hammering out the details of the contract. As cultivators of their level had a lot of time, they were able to patiently wait for the entire discussion. In the end, Ocean Emperor who spent a lot of energy went into hibernation in comfort.

While Bai Heng started laughing in satisfaction

'The idiot will not the reason of his death.'

'I was a expert in scamming blood contracts courtesy of my previous life. I could think of a 100 ways to fool these cultivators. They should feel the terror of fine print words.'
