Black Swordsman Online
if I traveled back 3 years ago. I will not focus on the game super hard. just enough to earn some good money. I will not try to be no.1 player cuz I believe if you failed once when all was fair then you have no right to say you are the best player with 3 years of ahead knowledge. Hell, the thing I would focus would be earning money in the real world as you already know the future. OOh, wait we are talking about an otaku gamer so no chance they know what the stock prices are. So nevermind my rant but I would just be content being a merchant and making money and selling information for astronomical numbers instead of doing the same F***ing grind. Peace out.

from the first twenty chapters, it clear that not much planning went into writing this. the MC gets a second chance goes three years back in time. he was a professional gamer yet he is rattled by the death of an npc, which doesn't make sense. there is no mention of using his future knowledge to gain an advantage. there isn't much depth to characters yet. his reincarnation is brushed past and the MC doesn't react much to it. not much world building and background to speak of. on the other hand, the translation quality is great and the writing is very fluid. all in all, a somewhat generic but fun read for when you have nothing to do.

Let me preface this by saying that this in my opinion above the level of junkfood, but not at sushi level and definitely not at wagyu beef level (for now). I really don't think that this is special in some way as it is the tried and true time travel and video game story. I find the MC to be pretty enjoyable as he hasn't been a complete ass hole from the start even though he seeks revenge in a certain sense. He thinks with long term benefits and he isn't ridiculously OP from the start. Characters are very lackluster though. The side character roommates rarely show up and they are typical to say the least. NPC characters which I would hope have more personality seem more like NPCs which isn't bad, but it kinda sucks. I think my biggest problem is this question: Why not make the genre a wuxia or xianxia mix instead of making it a video game one? To me, it seems as if replacing the scenes with IRL with more in game stuff would be just fine as IRL doesn't seem to matter much anyways.

I'll start with the fact that I dont have any high expectations for game elements novels in general. The are one or two novels that are exceptional but other than that it is usually cringeworthy. I didnt expect this one to be any different and I was right except the fact that the MC is more pathetic than the usual. He is very sensitive and just awkward character to even think of romancing it. The conversations are very hard to follow along, it seems forced and overly dramatic between the MC and other characters. The comedy theme is obviously dry and just not even worth reading. Also, his reasons for transmigrating is very retarded and just unheard of in a sad way. Like it is so poorly thought of it is not even funny and despite having years of experience beforehand, he still makes rookie mistakes in the game. Dont get me started on the rubbish romance. I am surprised that any of the female characters look his way. What a loser. I seriously dislike the main character hence dropping it.
The story is quite bland and the characters(main character included) feel like a bunch of side characters that is introduced and killed in the same chapter from other generic stories, they just do stuff without any reason or emotions. Some events happen without indication or reason, at some parts the writing is soo bad that you literally don't understand what is happening, it's like the author just put some ideas and concepts in a bowl and picked some at random.
All it took was 4 chapters to see that story is just hot garbage. The only good points is that they are translating the novel very well and the editing is pretty okay as well. Now to the bad, we're do I start. First the author summarizes before MC travels back in time in 4 sentences. 4 ****ty sentences. No background, no characterization. Multiple pov shifts that can confuse a reader. No background to base our understanding of the MC and side characters after time shift. A broken game system that randomizes a new players ability and forces them to stay with those stats even if they remake a new character. That's a broken system only someone who knows nothing about how games work and was to lazy to research for 5 minutes. If I could, I would message the author directly and tell him to burn this story from existence.
