Even though Happy had come to understand Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palm and Ten True Dragon Styles at the same time as well as obtained a verification from Mad Monk that there was something very similar about them, neither Happy nor Mad Monk were able to fuse them together to form the real Twenty-eight Dragon Subduing Palm.

To Mad Monk, Twenty-eight Dragon Subduing Palm was strong, but perhaps it was precisely because the two parts produced different effects and were in conflict with each other that the sect master of Beggar's Sect resolutely discarded ten moves and chose the other part—Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palm—which could stand on its own and was very straightforward.
