Actually moving in?

As for the rest of the day, it was pretty uneventful, as I have been through it before. As for our second break, Lyra and I returned to our roofspot, enjoying each other's company.

It did give me a chance to ask about Lyra training me outside of class and potentially signing up for the dungeon programme. It would most likely take me a month or two before I would be at a good level, but I feel like I can do it faster.

My understanding of mana is already quite good, so I think I'll surprise Lyra with how quickly I learn.

As for Raja, surprisingly, I have made no contact with him and have only encountered April so far. I don't know if I am still in their sights, as I believe tomorrow would of been the day I got beaten at that karaoke place.

That thought alone sent a shiver through my body, but it also infuriated me. However, there isn't anything I can do now, but as long as I have Lyra with me until I can protect myself properly, things should be smooth sailing.

There is of course, Caspian, but its kind of pitiful how his attempts to be high and might are shot down. But there are still a few people I have yet to see at the academy. Raja may have been the main one, but there were still a lot of people who used me as their punching bag.

If I recall correctly, my second year in high-school was the worst, as more people piled on me. If this world really is a parallel one, then I should prepare for next year to be a lot worse. That is, if I'm still seen as a peasant, which I doubt will be the case.

'I still need to find Rev. We went to the same high-school and got picked on as well, so there is no telling where he is.' I may have found Lyra one of my best friends and now girlfriend somehow, but there was also Rev.

Technically, he should be at the academy, but I have yet to see a sign of him.

'Maybe he turned into a girl like me…? No don't think that, I am not about to start some typical power fantasy harem with my best friends, that is going too far.' The thought of a love triangle flew through my head, but it made me want to throw up. This is reality, not some kind of weird romance manga.

'Blegh, anyway, I should keep an eye out and maybe even ask the teachers. I will need to do it when I am alone since it would be weird for Lyra if she knew I was asking to find some random person. Last thing I want is her thinking I am cheating on her.' I also don't have any friends, so it would be quite odd of me.

"What you thinking about?" Lyra suddenly leant in front of me and all I could see was her face.

"O-oh, just reflecting what we did today and also how you will be moving in today." Currently, we were on our way back to my house to confirm with my mother if Lyra can move in.

"Hehe~ exciting, isn't it?" Lyra smiled widely, causing my heart to once again skip a beat.

"It is, but I still think going from a mansion to shabby house is not the greatest move." Logically speaking, what Lyra is doing is absolutely insane.

"That might be the case, but I don't really care. Speaking of luxury though, I will need your help in transferring some gennite since, as soon as my parents find out, they will seize my money." I almost forgot Lyra was rich as fuck, but if she moved away, she would lose it all.

"Sure, but I don't exactly have a bank account." There was no world where I would say no, but I don't exactly have the means to help.

"Thats fine, I just need you there to open an account under your name and then I will transfer everything into it. We can do that after we hear what your mother has to say." Lyra didn't seem to be worried about it, so I hope its as easy as she makes it sound.

"Alright, if you say so."

Coming up to my house, I opened the door and announced our return. My mother didn't reply, but as we walked into the kitchen, we saw her sitting at the dining table.

"Hey Saki and Lyra." My mother waved and then gestured for us to sit down at the table. We complied, knowing exactly what this was going to be about.

"I'm guessing you have made up your mind?" But to be sure, I still asked, as this could somehow be completely unrelated.

"I have and the answer is maybe." Both Lyra and I tilted our heads, confused about how that was going to work.

"Shit, ummm, what I mean is yes, she can stay, but Lyra has to follow some rules otherwise, I will kick her out." Relief washed over me and Lyra, as we both expected there to be some rules at the very least. My mother should of just started with that, not a maybe to avoid confusion, but it is what it is.

"Of course, I am the one intruding." Lyra nodded her head, ready to say yes to any condition my mother was going to throw at her.

"First, if Saki's grades are low, then clearly you are a distraction unless there is a valid excuse. Second, you are to do your own chores, like clothes. I don't mind dishes, but you are to look after yourself. Third, if you can cook, then you must cook for us on the weekends." My mother had a smug face, laying out the rules as if she had been thinking about them all day.

"Is… that all?" Lyra looked a bit bewildered at how few conditions there was and how easy they were. To be honest, they were all a given and should just be standard rules in general.

"Yep, follow them and you can stay here as long as you want." It felt like there should be a catch, but I'm afraid to say that my mother is that naive.

"Alright done!" I could see the excitement on Lyra's face and the pure joy she felt.

'Hmmm, should she be this happy? It's day 2 of this world yet we are acting like we have known each other so long. There is no way that she was also transported here, right? I mean, it is within her character to fall for someone so easily and not really get to know them. It was always funny to quiz Lyra on her current girlfriend just for her to awkwardly sit there in silence.'

I had a slight amount of suspicion in my heart, but in the end I disregarded it since why should I? If it isn't broken, there is no reason to fix. Maybe that's not the best analogy to use in this situation, but I think that's how I will treat it.

"Glad to have you here, Lyra. Feel free to call me mother as well." My mother smiled and stuck out her tongue while looking for my reaction.

"M-mum! Isn't that too much!?" My face instantly turned red, as it was wayyy to soon for this closeness. I won't deny that I would love for it to go that far, but I wasn't ready for that kind of commitment with threats still looming in the air.

"Hehe~ I'll see, but before it gets late, I will head back home to grab some things. I can take Saki with me, right?" Thankfully, Lyra didn't encourage my mother and moved on so we could implement Lyra's plan to move her stuff and money.

I was still a little unsure if it would work out well, but I trusted that Lyra knew what she was talking about.

"Of course, just make sure you are back within 2 hours for dinner. You are adults, so you don't need to ask, just as long as I know what you are doing or are not home late." My mother shrugged, not really caring what we did, which was a relief in general.

I still had a sense of anxiety about what my mother would think if I went out a lot more, since I never got to know how she would treat me as an adult.

"Cool, let's get going then before it's too late." Lyra got up from her chair while grabbing my wrist. She then dragged me along out of the house with my mother's laugh in the background.

"Ahh! Too fast!" I had barely caught my balance by the time we reached the door, but once we were outside, Lyra spread her wings.

"Stay safe, you two!" My mother shouted from inside and gave Lyra the okay to keep going.

"Ready to take to the skies?" Without waiting, she swept me off my feet and took off.

"I'M NOT READYYYY!!"
