The Initiation, Part 1

I find it uncomfortable sitting behind Keto. Being his right hand (or dog…) I had to be with him, so he made me ride on his bike. "Hell yeah!" He laughed loudly while enjoying the fast current of winds from the speed of his bike. I could feel the same way about the whole ride, but who would be happy when they're on their way to their doom?

Actually, most of the gang were loud while riding their bikes. Everybody must be looking forward to this, all except me.

"…you're so weird, you know?" He suddenly said.

"E-Eh!?" So mean!

"First of all, you got strange hair. And then you're the only one who doesn't look happy about this special occassion."

"Is it really that obvious that I don't like where we're going?"

"I wouldn't talk if I didn't notice. Stop ruining my mood like that, will 'ya? It's pissing me off." What a moody guy. Can't he stick to one mood per day? It's so hard to get along with this moody jerk.

And as for the rest of the ride, I tried my best to make the most of it. Though I always end up thinking of how I'll survive. Just when I got the hang of distracting myself from that disturbing thoughts, we were already there… "So this is the 'Hawkin's Place'…" My eyes scanned the place, and the area really gives off a dangerous aura.

"Heh, I can already imagine myself getting a ton of cash." Keto chuckled. I guess he's excited about the money we're getting here.

Then Ash comes over and looked so proud. "Wild Beast is finally joining the bigger leagues, huh?"

"Hell yeah! Beating fuckers and getting money, the boss made a great decision making a contract with those Hawkin bastards." Lexi comes over as well. It was already uncomfortable with Keto alone, but with these three near me makes me want to get the hell out of here so badly.

"Alright, listen up you douchebags!" The vice commander called.

Everyone lined themselves in an instant.

"Being in a hostile territory, don't ever think of fucking around here! Once you get caught doing shit, Hawkins will definitely make sure to get rid of you the worst way possible and even endanger the whole gang. Drill it in your empty heads! Don't fuck around!" Woah, for an average looking guy he has a very harsh tongue.

After that brief warning, there were people in full plain white masks that led the whole gang in the Hawkin's place. The place was located underground, and we had to go down on a long road of stairs. It kept getting creepier for me as we go deeper.

"Those guys in the masks are so weird and creepy." I heard Ash mutter. He was walking beside me, and I felt relieved that I'm not the only one who feels that way.

"They really are. And being here feels so… illegal." He laughed as if I just told him a joke, but really, it feels so illegal to be here.

"Well, what do you expect? We're an organization of thugs who lives for violence. It won't be unusual for us to make it somewhere illegal."

"SO IT IS ILLEGAL!?" I freaked out.

He got surprised by my reaction. "What!? You don't know it was?"

"I… I didn't!"

"Hawkin's place is a gathering for gangs like us, we get paid by winning fights with other gangs. Shouldn't that be obvious enough for you to realize that it 'is' illegal?!"

"How am I supposed to know?! I don't know anything about the gang life!" Keto hungs his arm on my shoulder and joined in our conversation. "That's right. I picked up Lyde as an innocent stray puppy, he wouldn't know anything about this kinds of things." THIS SHITTY PRICK OF CACTUS! IF HE KNOWS THAT I'M IGNORANT OF THOSE KIND OF THINGS, THEN HE SHOULD'VE TAUGHT ME WHAT I NEEDED TO KNOW!

"That makes you responsible for Lyde! So shouldn't you told him more about this place?" Yeah! Ash is right, it's his responsibility to tell me more about this place.

"…why would I? It's better if he learns this on his own." LAZY SON OF A B—

"Hahaha! I guess you're right." Why the hell are you agreeing with him, Ash?! Geez. These guys are so unbelievable and... "So mean!" I said to myself.

When we finally reached the edge of this seemingly endless stairs, the men in white masks opened the huge doors for us. And behind those doors, another set of people wearing full masks with designs and black suits were waiting for us.

A man that stood out among that group have approached us, rather, he approached our gang leader. He was the only one wearing a mask that was only covering the upper part of his face and there was a symbolic design of a king chess piece on mask's forehead. He must be the one leading this place.

"Welcome, Wild Beasts! A pleasure to see you all in person." He greeted.

"It's an honor to have you greet us, sir Hawkins... or should I call you Black King?" Said Ren.

"No need for those lousy titles. I assume you're all prepared for the initiation?"

"My men are always ready for a war." Except me! I think I'm not mentally prepared for what's coming next.

"So confident, are we now?" The guy chuckled. "Prepare yourselves. I have great expectations for this group... don't put my investment to waste."

"We don't plan to." Ren replied with a tone full of pride and confidence. This gang leader must have put a lot of trust in his gang to be like this, and that includes me. I'm not sure if I can meet their expectations but... this makes me want to do my best for all of them.

I may be afraid of the possible outcomes, but I admit, a part of me has been wanting something like this after the clash with the Exitiums. Maybe there's still a wild side of me trying to get lose after all these times. Though it's something that I wanted to avoid doing anymore, I can't understand myself sometimes either.

"Perfect. Then get ready, the initiation will commence tonight!"
