Meet the Single Mom

Did she really just let him patt her butt out there in public? that's just the height of annoying, it was okay to do all the kissing and cuddling at thier balcony but doing that out here was just messed up. It wasn't any of her business of course because as messed up as her own life was she really didn't have any right to judge anybody and definitely not the Bronson's they were like the perfect family in all of Iowa. Harry was a renowned surgeon and Lola a writer for an online magazine, they even created enough time for thier two beautiful daughters, while she had to work all night and sometimes during the day to cater for Finn. They lived in a beautiful duplex with a perfect lawn which she loved looking at from her kitchen window every sunset, Finn hated it he felt it was awkward and embarrassing that she was always peeping at another family enviously but she just couldn't help it. She took a deep breath and turned off the cooker just as Finn came in going straight to the fridge "how was soccer practice dear?" she asked reaching for her back to untie her apron, "cool" he was drinking water so it was a little mumbled "still having that trouble with your dummie captain?" she smiled knowingly, finally taking off the apron and hanging it at the back of the kitchen door. "he was different this evening.....dont know what got into him..." lily didn't let him finish, knowing she had threatened the coach to sanction the boy for bullying her son, "made some meatballs in the fridge case you need some and dinners pasta and sauce" she pointed to the cooker "I've gotta go honey I'm so late" she kissed his blond hair which reminded her he needed a hair cut but that could wait.

After collecting her paycheck that morning she returned home to make breakfast and shower before cross checking the moving boxes especially Finns, he hated forgetting stuff and his tantrums were unbearable, they didnt even have a place to stay yet at california so they were going to squat with cherry till she could afford an apartment, She prayed silently as she laid on her bed exhausted that California would be a breakthrough for her and her son.
