121 Win Her Back!

The following day.

Alex woke up at 8:00 in the morning and the sun was already shining outside, as the rays of the sun stream through the window and reached his bed.

Alex had a deep sleep last night and he woke up to a beautiful morning.

Then...he remembered his weird dream!

What a weird dream he had with Caroline and he can still recall in his dream that they were having a family picnic in a garden with the twins, their babies?

Whoa!

Caroline becomes his woman in his dream and they have twin offspring. Wow, that was an amusing dream, indeed! Although, it's kind of impossible to happen in the future.

He smiled.

Anyways, even if it's a weird dream, still, it brought a sunny smile on his lips.

He rose from the bed and went to the bathroom to do his thing.

He emerges from the bathroom a moment later and donned a shirt on his upper body and a black cotton shorts on his lower body.

Done dressing, he exited the bedroom to eat breakfast in the dining room.

Alex found Lucas eating silently in the dining room. He surveyed his face, he was still sporting a somber look on his face.

"How are you feeling today, bro?" asked Alex.

"Not better...not fine," Lucas answered.

"Oh....so... is this about Caroline again?" he asked.

Lucas released a deep sigh and addressed him. "Have you been in love with a woman before?"

Alex brows knitted together. "Real love...true love to a woman? I dunno...maybe or maybe not? All I know is that I don't have to worry about things like that. I like the way I run my life right now. Who cares about women?" he said with a slight smile tugging on his lips.

"I love Caroline so much and it hurts thinking that her heart already belongs to another guy. It kills me inside!" Lucas said loudly.

"Calm down, Lucas. Just accept the way things are, no matter how painful they are. If you can learn to accept that there are things and situations in life that we can not control... then your life will be easier to live by," Alex explained.

"Easier to say that because you are not in my shoe brother," Lucas snorted. "If you are in my shoes, would you give up Caroline without fighting for her love? Will you just allow the woman you love enjoying her life with another guy? Aren't you going to do everything in your power to win her back?"

Alex was silent for a minute or two.

"Hmm...If she is my woman and I love her, then I will do everything to win her back," he gave his honest answer.

Lucas smiled. "See...that's what I meant. I want to win her back. So, don't stop me if I want Caroline back in my life," he said.

Alex's eyes widened. "Huh? What are you gonna do to win Caroline back? You don't even have any resources at your disposal, to begin with, and Caroline already told you that she doesn't love you anymore and she doesn't want to see you again. You can't win her back by using force! Your relationship with Caroline ended a long time ago, therefore, there's nothing worth fighting for between the two of you. The best thing you can do is let her go and move on, period!"

"But brother..."

"Enough, Lucas! Don't plan something evil against Caroline's back. Don't force yourself on someone that no longer loves you, it's utter foolishness and useless!" Alex said in a loud voice.

Lucas was already on the edge of crying. He can't understand why his brother isn't supportive of his plans to get Caroline back? His sister was much more accommodating though...

He stood up and walked away from the table.

"Lucas, are you done breakfast?" Alex asked in a hard voice.

"Yes," Lucas uttered a short answer and left the dining room.

Alex was left alone in the table staring at the delicious dishes in front of him.

Sighing, he resumed eating.

Eastwood Subdivision.

Caroline was doing her last-minute packing. They would be staying in Davao City for maybe a few days.

She placed her toothbrush and toothpaste in the pocket of the traveling bag as well as shampoo, lotion, and other personal stuff. It's just one bag, nothing extreme to begin with.

Thelma was holding baby Cathy in her arms while looking at her daughter's figure, busy packing.

"Mother, I can't believe I will finally be able to buy that land! I thought it was already a goner. Finally, all my dreams will come true," she can't help chattering happily in front of her mother. "Two or three years from now we are going to live in a paradise, there will be a theme park nearby, mini-forest and beach resort to visit all year round. Amazing... isn't it, Mother?" she beamed.

Thelma smiled, her daughter's excited rambling was contagious. "Yes, I can't wait for Mike's vision to come to completion, the result would surely be spectacular!" she joined in her daughter's enthusiasm.

"And Mike told me that he is going to construct a beautiful 3-story house for our family and put it in the middle of the land. To be surrounded by those awesome landscapes every day would be like living in paradise. OMG! I'm so excited already!" Caroline said while applying lipstick on her lips.

She looked at the wall clock inside her bedroom, it's already past 3:30 in the afternoon, her boyfriend would arrive anytime soon.

Continuous knocking can be heard outside the bedroom door.

"Uncle Mike is already waiting outside!" It was Jacob's voice announcing Mike's arrival.

"Okay, I'm done," she shouted excitedly. "I'm going now, Mother!" she said breathlessly. She went to baby Cathy's side and planted a kiss on her forehead. "I love you baby!" she said.

"Take care of yourself and enjoy your trip," Thelma said while putting baby Cathy in her crib.

"Bye Mother!" Caroline said with a bright smile and exited the bedroom.

She went downstairs and get out of the house.

"Sorry to keep you waiting..." she said to her boyfriend.

Mike smiled, he went to her side and planted a kiss on her forehead. "Nah, no need to apologize. I didn't wait for long. I just arrived," he replied.

"Okay, let's go now to the airport!" she said merrily.

He picked up her traveling bag and walked towards the taxi that was waiting in front of the house. He placed the bag in the trunk and they get inside the taxi cab heading to the airport.

The travel to the airport was quick and they arrived at their destination early with thirty minutes to spare. The couple entered a cafe situated inside the airport terminal and ordered refreshments to pass time while waiting for their boarding call.

Thirty minutes later.

The couple boarded the flight going to Davao City.
