74 What Took You So Long?

They walked towards the stairs leading to the restaurant located on the ground floor.

When they entered the restaurant, Caroline spotted the annoying good looking guy occupying the fifth table on the right side.

The worst part, Mike chose the table next to him, putting her on the place where she can see his face in full view.

Mike gave her the menu.

Caroline handed it back to him. "I'll eat everything you order," she said.

Mike smiled and ordered the food for them.

A few minutes later, their food arrives on their table and they began eating.

The guy on the next table was done eating and was currently staring intently at the lady in red eating her meal on the next table.

Caroline tried her best to enjoy her meal even though she knows that the annoying guy occupying the next table was blatantly looking at her without blinking his eyes.

Dang!

What he's thinking? Why did he keep looking at her?

Do I know him? But she was 100% sure that she'd never seen him before.

Heck!

Why should she bother herself with this annoying guy?

She was proud of herself when she was able to shake off the mysterious guy's presence and focused on her dinner companion, Mike.

"How's the food?" Mike asked her.

"Tastes delicious...especially the String Bean Chicken Breast, Pork Steak, and Sizzling Pork Sisig!" she raves.

"I'm glad you enjoyed our food," Mike was pleased.

They resumed eating in gusto and nearly finished the food they ordered down to the last morsel.

Mike and Caroline enjoyed their dinner.

One hour later, they left the restaurant and headed to the adjacent bar to chill and relax before going to sleep.

There was a happy hour going on...a singing session...allowing the guest who has the golden voice to sing a song of their choice accompanied by the live band's instrument.

Mike and Caroline settled in the vacant table to the left side of the stage. Mike ordered a ladies drink for Caroline and a San Mig Light beer for him.

Caroline roamed her eyes around the bar and her eyes landed on the guy sitting on the table to their right side. He was drinking a light beer and was looking at her. Their eyes met, he held up his beer to acknowledge her presence. She tore her gaze away from his face.

The microphone sputtered...

"Good evening guys. I hope everyone was having a good time. Anyone here wants to sing with our live band here?" the announcer said.

For a minute no one raised their hands in the air.

Then all of a sudden, the annoying guy raised his hand.

"Okay, guys let's give a big applause to our golden guy for the night!" the announcer said and extended the microphone to the guy.

The annoying guy informed the band members of the piece of music he wants to sing.

The drummer, the bass player, and the guitarist who is also the vocalist began playing the intro of Daughtry's song titled...What About Now.

The mysterious guys began singing the lyrics...

And the spectators erupted in great applause due to his impressive voice.

The annoying guy breezed the song until the end.

The bar's patrons were cheering wildly. "More! More! More!" they shouted in unison.

Caroline was dumbstruck and speechless.

While Mike was busy clapping his hand after the guy finished the first song. "He is good!" he commented.

The guy sang another song of the same singer titled~ Over You.

And finally, he sang the last song~ Home.

The crowd inside the bar erupted in cheers when the guy finished singing. He becomes an instant celebrity.

The guy purposely walked towards Caroline and Mike's table.

Mike saw the guy approaching their table, the moment he comes in line to their table, he said to him..."Awesome performance, bro!"

"Thanks, dude! But your girl is hot!" the guy remarked casually.

Mike smiled feeling proud. "Yeah, she's mine! My fiancee!" he joked.

Caroline glared at Mike.

The guy proceeds to his table wearing a grim expression on his face after hearing the man's remarks.

Caroline stole a glance at the guy, she spotted two girls sitting on the guy's table and chatting with him animatedly. 'Ah, the flowers are suddenly flocking to the bee,' she muses.

"Do you know that guy who passed our table recently?" Caroline asked.

Mike shook his head. "No. I just complimented his great voice," he answered. "Why?" he asked.

"I thought you know each other because you talked to him casually," Caroline said.

"I've never seen him before," that's all Mike can say.

He ordered another glass of ladies' drink for Caroline and one light beer for him.

The clock strikes at 11:00 in the evening.

"Time does fly so fast when we're having fun, isn't it?" Mike grinned as the alcohol was making him lightheaded.

Caroline glanced at the clock hanging on the wall. "It's eleven already, let's retire to our room. I'm feeling sleepy," she said to her companion. Yawning, she covered her mouth with her palm.

"Okay, time to sleep," Mike called the waiter and settled the bills. "Let's go," he said after the waiter brought back the change to their table.

Mike and Caroline rose to their feet heading towards the door.

They walked in the hallway and climb the stairs.

When they reached the top floor where their rooms were located,

Mike bid goodnight to his beautiful companion. "Sweet dreams sweetie! Can I have a good night kiss?" he joked, grinning.

Caroline smiled and rolled her eyes. "Go to sleep, now!" she said.

"You go inside first," Mike urged her.

"Okay. Goodnight Mike," she uttered the words sweetly.

She inserted the key to her suite and closed the door behind her.

Then she went to the bathroom and began splashing water on her face. She piled her hair at the top of her head and put a hair clip on it. She decided to take a quick shower before going to sleep.

Twenty minutes later, she was done showering.

She emerges from the bathroom and donned her sleeping attire. She sat on the edge of the bed and browse the messages on her phone. She replied to a quick message to her mother informing her that she's alright and arrived at their hotel accommodation safely.

After combing her hair for a hundred times, she finally turns off the light, then switched on the bedside lamp and closed her eyes to sleep.

One hour later, Caroline falls asleep soundly in the bed.

The hands of time pointed at 2:00... the wee hours of the night.

Caroline suddenly woke up from her sleep and left her room. She went straight to the annoying guy's room, she grabbed the doorknob and push the door open and went inside.

There he is... lying naked in the bed looking at her with a smirk on his face.

"What took you so long to come?" he asked. "Come to me babe..." he said huskily. He beckoned her to come closer.

Caroline obeyed and went to his side.

He immediately grabbed her waist and deposited her on the bed, pinning her under him.

They stared at each other's eyes for a few seconds until their lips meet and engaged in a heated kiss.

It took only a few seconds for the guy to discard all Caroline's clothes except her undies.

He lowered his hand... skimming past her breast... passing her navel and traveled down to the band of her underwear as his naughty fingers were creeping hungrily inside her lacy underwear.
