100 Our Baby
At 3:00 in the afternoon, they're all ready and excited for malling and climbed into the car that Caroline has readied outside the house.
Thelma was sitting on the front seat, holding baby Cathy, while Caroline was on the driver's seat.
Caroline drove the car slowly towards the nearest mall near the vicinity of the subdivision.
It took them thirty minutes to arrive in the SM Mall.
After parking the car in the parking lot of the mall, Caroline took out the baby stroller from the vehicle and placed baby Cathy on it.
They entered the mall in high spirits.
Caroline's entourage went to the grocery store first. They place dairy products, meat, vegetables, fish, and groceries in the shopping cart and paid the items in the cashier section. Jacob and Lily left the shopping bags in the baggage section.
Done with grocery, they proceed to the game arcade of the mall which was Lily and Jacob's favorite.
Thelma and Caroline were relaxing on the chair outside the arcade, eating ice cream, while the teenagers were enjoying playing games inside the arcade.
One hour and thirty minutes later, the teenagers and Merle exited the arcade.
They proceed to stroll around the mall enjoying the stalls and store offering different products.
Tired with strolling, they went to find a good restaurant to eat.
"I want to eat spicy fried chicken!" Lily blurted out.
"I second the motion!" Jacob grinned.
Caroline laughed. "Alright, let's go to the Fried Chicken Station!" she said.
A few minutes later, they entered the restaurant and settled in a five-seater table and fluffy sofa.
Caroline ordered one large bucket of fried chicken, which consist of 6 pieces of spicy chicken and 6 pieces of the original flavor, one platter of lasagna, one platter of spaghetti, and ten pieces of rice with two pitchers of chilled cola.
After a few minutes of waiting, the waiter finally delivered the order to their table.
The family starts eating the mouthwatering fried chicken, so crunchy and so tasty.
It took more than one hour for the family to finish the delicious food.
Thirty minutes later, they exited the restaurant and do more walking around the mall.
By 6:00 in the evening.
Caroline's entourage was already itching to go home, especially her mother Thelma.
"My feet are hurting of too much walking," Thelma grumbled.
Caroline smiled. "Let's go home then—?" she said and looked at everyone's faces, no one is objecting to going home.
"Alright, let's go home," Jacob answered for everyone.
They headed to the baggage section to retrieve the shopping bags containing their groceries and exited the mall. They went to the parking area which is a walking distance and piled up inside the car.
Caroline started the engine and drives the car going back to the Eastwood Subdivision.
After arriving at the house, since everyone's stomach was still full of their recent heavy fried chicken meals, they just retire into their respective room. Merle the housemaid, arranged the grocery in the cupboard, and put the meat and vegetables into the fridge.
...
Upstairs, in Caroline's bedroom.
She placed baby Cathy in the crib and change into brown cotton short and loose blouse.
After feeding her daughter, she took a quick shower.
Done refreshing herself in the bathroom.
She was now relaxing in bed, watching a fantasy movie. Next, a thriller movie.
Three hours later, she was getting sleepy.
She falls asleep in the bed.
After some time, she wakes up to the blackness of her room. Dang, she forgot to turn on the lampshade.
She reached for the lamp and switch it on.
The light-flooded the entire room.
Then she noticed that she was not alone in the room, someone is sleeping beside her and when she looked into his eyes, she was shocked, it's Greg! His eyes were staring intensely at her face.
"G-Greg!?" she whispered in shock.
"Hello Caroline, long time no see," he smiled wickedly at her.
"H-how did you c-come i-inside my r-room? How did y-you get h-here?" she asked, her heart was beating fast, her mouth quivering in fright.
"I visit you here because you don't want to see me. I'm sad. Don't be surprised that I manage to enter your room because I am always in your mind and heart. You just refused to see me again, but I am always residing in your mind and heart. Come to me Caroline, I miss hugging you!"
Instead of coming to him, Caroline quickly leaps from the bed to put a distance between them.
"I see...you no longer want to see me...eh?" said Greg with sadness clouding in his eyes. Then he shifted his attention to the crib where the sleeping baby was located. He gets up from the bed and walked towards the crib.
Caroline's mouth turns dry, no!
"Don't come near my daughter! Get away from her" she screamed at him.
Greg looked at Caroline, smirking. "Why—? I just want to see our daughter. Can't I? You always wanted to have a daughter after we get married in the church. Why are you selfish now, Caroline?"
"Greg, please step away from my daughter. She's never your child!" she began to sob.
"Don't worry, I will take her with me to heaven, we will wait for you there. When you get tired of living follow us to heaven, okay?" he said grinning.
Greg took baby Cathy from the crib and carry her in his arms and walked towards the door.
"Nooooooo! Please don't take my baby away!" she shouted in a hysterical voice running after him.
No matter how hard she tries she could never catch up with him, then he disappeared from her sight.
She fell on the floor, calling baby Cathy's name, while her tears flowing from her eyes.
She was in that position when she heard a sound coming from nowhere.
She opened her eyes and was greeted with the sound of the television still showing some random movie on the screen.
She immediately looked at the crib, her daughter was still there in the crib, sleeping soundly. "Thank God!" she said aloud.
That was just another horrific dream.
She kept dreaming of Greg!
Dammit, she can't get him out of her mind!
This has to stop!
She instantly grabbed her phone and was rapidly typing a message to Daniel informing him that she finally decided to visit Lucas, she will inform him when is the exact day she will visit him.
She sent the message and placed the phone back in the bedside table.
A few minutes later, she received a reply from Daniel.
'Thank you, this means so much to me. Let me know when are you planning to see my brother. We will prepare him for your visit. Goodnight!'
Caroline didn't bother to reply goodnight to Daniel, she placed the phone back in the bedside table.
Two hours later, she falls asleep like a baby.

Alex also falls asleep with a smile on his face after replying to Caroline's message.
