104 Live In Paradise
Mike was having a conversation with his business partner Mr. Castillo in the ground of the 10-story building. They were planning to lease the spaces for office, store, restaurant, and others after it gets completed.
It will be a residential and commercial building combined in one structure.
The 1st up to 5th floor will be dedicated to office or store leasing while the rest of the 6th up to 10th floor will be a condo residential unit type of space. Those that rented the lower floors can also rent units upstairs for residential purposes.
It's a one-hectare land they managed to buy at a reasonable price.
The business partners were currently looking at the building layout made by their architect friend who designs everything about this project. As of the moment, the foundation of the building has been done and they were going to erect the rest of the building structure next week.
"Looking good so far!" Mr. Castillo smiled while looking at the construction people busy working on the building.
"Indeed!" Mike agreed. Then his phone starts ringing. "Excuse me, for a moment, partner. I just need to answer a call," he said.
Mr. Castillo nods his head.
Mike went to the shade of the tree and answered the caller who happens to be Mr. Fernandez from Davao City.
"Yes. Sir, what can I do for you?"
"Do you still want to buy the land?" Mr. Fernandez asked directly.
"Yes, of course, Sir! My partner would be willing to buy the land. We were just waiting for your call," Mike answered.
"Okay, good. I will sell the land to you at the fixed price of PHP 10 Million, no more no less. If you are interested, come to my house so that we can discuss the details. I will give you one week deadline and after one week if you still won't appear in my house then I take it that you are no longer interested to buy the land. I will then contact the other buyers who are interested to buy it," Mr. Fernandez explained.
"Okay, I understand Mr. Fernandez. We will come to visit you before one week is over," Mike said excitedly.
"See you then, Mike," Mr. Fernandez said and ended the call.
Mike looked at his phone in disbelief.

This is good news!
He placed a call to his girlfriend right away.
"Hello...Mike..." Caroline's voice appeared on the line.
"Sweetie...I have a piece of good news for you!" Mike said excitedly.
"What is it?" Caroline asked, wondering why he sounds excited.
"Mr. Fernandez called me a minute ago, to inform me that he's going to sell the land to us at the price of 10 Million, no more no less. He give us one week deadline, if we can't come to his house within this week to seal the deal then he will find another buyer for the land. Are you still interested to buy the land?"
"Yes, of course! I fell in love with that piece of land. I also love your vision for that place, I want it to come true!" Caroline said breathlessly. "By all means, we should go to Davao City as soon as possible and seal the deal," she declared.
"Good! How about if I book a flight for us the this coming Friday, what do you think?" he asked.
"Okay, you can book the flight anytime. I'm not busy. I am available the whole week. It's up to you, I will leave the decision to you," Caroline replied.
"Alright, I have some important meeting with a prospective business partner tomorrow, so I will book the flight this Friday. Would that be okay with you?" he asked for confirmation.
"Friday is fine with me," Caroline agreed since there's still four days before Friday.
"Okay, I will book our flight later."
"Where are you right now?" she asked.
"I'm currently at the site for ten-story building construction that I partnered with a friend of mine. You wanna see the on going construction?" he asked.
"Okay, only if you are not busy," she answered.
"Sure, I will take a video. I will send it to you in a moment. I will call you later, sweetie, bye for now," he stated.
"Bye...don't forget to send me the video," she responded.
"Okay," Mike answered and end the call.
He went back to his business partner and they talked animatedly regarding the layout of the building.

Caroline carried her daughter in her arms and went downstairs to find her mother. She found her mother watering the flowering plants at the back of the house.
"Mother, good news!" she sat on the chair.
Thelma glanced at her daughter. "What is the good news, daughter?"
"Remember that piece of land I wanted to buy in Davao City?"
"Yes, what about it?"
"The owner called Mike and informed him that the land is up for sale and we are given one week to seal the deal or else the owner will find another buyer. I'm going back to Davao City to buy the land, Mother!" Caroline said, her face filled with excitement.
"That's good news indeed! I'm happy for you!" Thelma smiled. "When are you going to fly to Davao City?" she asked.
"This coming Friday, Mother," Caroline answered.
"Okay. So...what are your plans after you buy the land?" Thelma inquired.
Caroline's eyes twinkled as she was already envisioning in her mind the outcome of the land in the few years to come. "Mike and I are planning to build a theme park on it, a grand hotel, then a beach resort. It would be a one-stop tourist destination. The vision is to combine the allure of the beach side and the magic of theme park with swimming pool and water slides in one place. The guest can have many choices of activities such as visiting the theme park or go swimming in the beach resort, then enjoy strolling or relaxing in a one-hectare mini forest. I want it to be a spectacular and breathtaking destination for everyone who wants to relax and enjoy what nature can offer."
Thelma looked at her daughter's face with pride and love in her eyes. "I'm happy for you, daughter. I hope all your dreams will come true," she said earnestly.
"Thanks, Mother dear. We will relocate there when Theme Park and the Hotel were already completed. It would be nice to live every day in a nice place where you can visit the beach, theme park and the mini forest at any time of the day. Am I right, Mother?" Caroline said.
"That would be terrific, indeed! I won't hesitate to live in that heavenly place in a heartbeat," Thelma replied enthusiastically, she's getting interested and excited by the prospect of living in a beautiful place someday.
Caroline giggled and showered baby Cathy with feathery kisses. "We're going to live in a paradise one day, baby Cathy!" she smiled radiantly.
"Mam..a...mama...mam..a..." the tot smiled to her mother.
Thelma continues watering her orchids plants.
"What are you going to cook for dinner, Mother dear?" Caroline changed the topic.
"I'm going to prepare Chinese Beef with Broccoli and Stir-Fry Shrimp and Green Peas," Thelma replied.
"Whoaa...your dishes are getting classy...Mother dear!" Caroline noticed.
"Thanks to the recipe book you bought for me. I was able to experiment with different dishes," Thelma revealed.
"Nice! I will buy you more cookbooks," Caroline gushes.
After a while, Caroline left her mother and went back to her bedroom.
She received a message from Mike along with the video taken in a busy construction site. There's also a video of Mike and his business partner Mr. Castillo.
Her phone starts ringing, it was Mike calling her.
"Sweetie...did you miss me?" he asked.
"We just talk earlier..." she reminded him.
"How about a dinner date outside? Or at my place, tonight? We can go skinny dipping in the pool at my place, how about that?" he suggested.
Caroline remembered that she promised him a date in his place the other day. "At your place, then," she answered.
"That's good. I can't wait to kiss your lips again!" he blurted out intensely.
Caroline rolled her eyes and smiled. "See you later..."
"Bye sweetie," Mike said and ended the call.
Caroline smiled and placed the phone in the bedside table and watched nursery rhymes on TV with baby Cathy.
