86 Let's Keep Moving!

That afternoon.

Mike dropped at his brother's office.

When he entered the office, his brother was no longer staring absentmindedly at the city's skyline. Instead, his face was glowing with happiness while inspecting some documents in his office table.

"Wow, you looked alive nowadays, brother. How does it feel to have your wife and children back in your side again? Happy?" he asked slumping on the chair.

John smiled at his visitor. "Now that my family is back in my house I'm truly happy. Life is never the same without them," he answered animatedly.

"It's nice to see you happy and inspired with life again, bro! I'm truly happy for you," Mike said.

"Thanks, bro. How about you and Caroline?" asked John casually.

It's now Mike's turn to smile. "I'm so happy, bro! Caroline and I are officially a couple!" he confessed.

John's eyes widened in surprise. "What—? That fast huh?" he commented. Now that's something! But then he remembered that on the night he first met Catherine, they have sex right away. He smiled remembering those wild nights.

Mike's grin was plastered his face. "What can I say...I got it from my brother! I got it from my brother! I got it from my brother!" he said in a sing-song voice.

John chuckled in amusement. "So, what's your plan? Is the relationship for the short or long term?" he asked curiously.

Mike's face turns serious. "I want to marry her in all the church in our country," he declared.

John erupted in merry laughter. "Wow, I see, you are smitten by her already."

"Yes, I am!" Miked admitted.

"Well...what can I say? I warned you before not to fall in love with her but you never listened to me. I guess the only thing I can advise you as your brother is that take it easy. Don't rush the marriage. Get to know each other slowly," John said.

"Okay, thanks for your advice bro! Would it be better if we both marry the sisters?"

John looked at the ceiling of his office. "Well...if you indeed up marrying Caroline, I have no problem with that," he stated.

Mike looked at his brother's face intently. "I have something to ask you, bro. Please answer me honestly," he said.

"Shoot, what is it?" a creased appeared on John's forehead.

"Tell me, have you not touch Caroline intimately before? You two did not have sex? You never kissed her lips ever? You were not tempted to flirt with her?" Mike fired his no hold barred question to his brother.

John sighed. "My answer to all your questions is a big fat, NO!"

Mike smiled feeling satisfied with his brother's answer. "Thanks for being honest, bro. It means so much to me."

"Rest assured bro that Caroline and I were never involved in each other physically, and emotionally. She's just my wife's sister, nothing more and nothing less," John declared.

Mike is happy with his brother's answer. "I'm going now, bro. I will just go upstairs first and say hello to my sister-in-law and the children," he said.

"Alright, go now," John said and shifted his attention back to his works.

Mike left the office and went to his brother's residence.

When he entered the living room, Catherine and the kids were already there.

"Hi, Mike!" Catherine beamed at her brother-in-law.

"Hello, Cath...hello kids!" Mike grabbed his nephew playfully and planted a kiss on baby Angel's chubby arms.

"Uncle...Uncle...Uncle...handsome..." baby James repeatedly said.

"Thank you! I miss you, little guy!" Mike kissed the children's cheeks. He looked at his sister-in-law. "How are you doing, Cath?"

"I'm fine. It's nice to be back home," Catherine answered and smiled radiantly at her brother-in-law.

"Good," Mike said. He played with his nephew for a few minutes. Then he looked at Catherine's face. "Cath, I have something to tell you..."

"Hmm...what is it?" she asked.

"I want your blessing," he paused for a moment. "Your sister and I are now officially a couple," he said.

"What—?" she asked in disbelief. It took her a few minutes before she was able to muster a few words to say to him. "Okay...fine...enjoy. I hope your relationship will last forever and you will be happy with your relationship," she gave him her blessings.

"Thank you, sister-in-law!" Mike said that is all he wanted from her. Time for him to leave. "Bye-bye kids, bye Cath," he said cheerfully.

"Bye Mike," Catherine responded with a smile.

Mike was already gone but Catherine was still staring at the door. She remembered that at some point in the past, Mike wanted to meet Caroline, now he finally meets her and not only that they already had a relationship.

Kind of weird.

An unpleasant feeling was sinking deep down on her stomach.

She dismisses it quickly, after all, her sister and Mike were both mature adults already. She has to leave everything to God and not worry much about other people's lives.

Thirty minutes later.

The door opened and John comes inside. "How's my beautiful wife doing?" he asked and kissed Catherine's cheeks.

"Watching nursery rhymes on TV because baby Angel and James's like it very much," she answered.

"Did my brother come here?" he asked.

"Yeah. He shared to me the news that he and Caroline are now officially a couple," she replied.

John holds baby Angel and placed her in his lap. "And what's your opinion about the two?"

Catherine shrugged her shoulders. "What can I say? I wish them well," she muttered without a hint of negativity in her voice.

"That's right, let's just leave them alone 'coz it's their life," John agreed.

The couple spends another hour enjoying bonding moments in the living room with their children.

Evening comes.

Eastwood Subdivision.

Mike parked his car outside his girlfriend's house. He already informed Caroline that he was coming today to visit her and he will bring her for dinner outside.

He waited for her in the veranda.

A moment later Caroline emerges from the door and smiled broadly at her boyfriend.

Mike stood up and meet Caroline halfway, he planted a kiss on her forehead. "Did you miss me, sweetie?" he asked and pinched her nose affectionately.

Caroline smiled. "No," she joked.

"Ouch, my heart hurts..." he winced in pain.

She planted a quick kiss on his lips. "That should take the pain away," she grinned.

"More!" Mike puckered his lips towards her.

Caroline slapped his arms. "Enough!"

"Fine, let's keep moving!" he said enthusiastically.

They exited the gate and went inside the vehicle.

Mike started the engine and drives the car out of the subdivision.

"Where are we going?" Caroline asked him curiously.

"Secret!" Mike winked at her fondly.
