73 Is This Yours?

The ride to the airport terminal was smooth as there was not much traffic which was unusual during that time.

During the ride, Mike and Caroline would just smile at each other not bothering to talk to each other.

Thirty minutes later, they finally arrived at the airport terminal and fifteen minutes later they finally boarded their flight. It's two hours' travel by plane to Davao City.

It's Caroline's first time going to Mindanao and she took some photos on her phone excitedly. She also took photos of her with Mike in their seats.

"Sorry, it's my first time going to Mindanao," she whispered apologetically into his ears.

Mike smiled. "It's okay, sweetie, I understand. Enjoy the experience," he winked playfully at her.

Caroline glances at the window and the magnificent view of the oceans and mountains put her in awe. "Wow! Simply breathtaking!" she murmured to herself.

"Not as breathtaking as you," Mike whispered in her ears.

Caroline giggled. "Flatterer!" she told him.

She continues admiring the wonderful view outside the window while Mike was enjoying her lovely presence beside him.

Two hours later.

The plane finally landed at Davao International Airport.

The Green View Hotel sent a service car to fetch VIP clients that booked in their hotels. It's a ten-seater minibus with the hotel's logo printed on the vehicle's front. Caroline and Mike were the first to board the minibus. Two more passengers entered the bus, a middle-aged couple, they settled in the seat near the driver.

Another passenger entered the door, this time it's a lone man. He looks in his early 30's and a very striking good looking man. For some reason, Caroline was drawn to him, she can't take her eyes off him.

The guy also stared at Caroline and passed by her seat, he settled on the chair behind her.

Caroline closed her eyes. She felt uneasy all of a sudden...she sit erect on her chair...she can feel someone was staring intensely at her head.

Mike was busy browsing emails on his phone.

Caroline quickly glanced behind her only to find the guy's hypnotizing eyes intensely locked with hers. She averted her gaze away from him. What the heck! Was he staring at her all the time? She felt uncomfortable all of a sudden.

The journey towards the Green View Hotel takes one hour.

Although Caroline was no longer paying attention to the stranger she can still feel his gaze on her back.

A few minutes later.

Catherine was composing a text message for her mother on her phone when she felt a gentle thug on her hair at the back of her head.

WTF!?

She knows very well who is the culprit!

She turned around and looked at the stranger behind her to confront him, but the guy's eyes were fixated on his phone, smirking.

Caroline bit her lip.

If she will make a big fuss about it, she had no evidence. So... she just let it go.

The tugging of her hair continuous two more times.

Annoyed, Caroline was ready to lash out at the stranger, but when she turned her head to confront him he was no longer sitting on the seat behind her, he already transferred to another seat far away from her!

Grrrr!

The guy was browsing his phone, smirking.

Caroline bit her lip in frustration.

Mike looked at his companion. "What's wrong?"

Caroline smiled and shook her head. "Nothing..."

Mike returned his attention to his phone.

Caroline completely ignored the stranger, she kept to herself during the entire journey.

By 8:30 in the evening, they finally reached their destination the...Green View Hotel. The hotel was situated near the pristine beach, a few minutes' walks from the hotel.

The structure of the hotel was modest but welcoming.

The hotel attendant brought the guest's belongings into the top floor where the VIP suites were located. The Top floor has four VIP suites facing each other.

Caroline spotted the middle-aged couple entering the suite #1 and then out of the corner of her eyes she saw the stranger entering the suite #2. Mike's suite was #3 and hers was suite #4, facing the mysterious guy's room.

"Car, we will have dinner at the hotel's restaurant in fifteen minutes," Mike informed her.

"Okay," she answered absentmindedly.

Mike and Caroline entered their separate room.

Inside Caroline's room.

She put her clothes in the hangers inside the cabinet and arranged her stuff in the drawers.

She changed into black skinny jeans and red floral chiffon short sleeve blouse. She applied red lipstick on her lips and let her tresses loose on her shoulders.

Satisfied with her appearance she picked up her gray pouch bag and put her wallet and phone inside and zipped it.

She exited the room and come face to face with the annoying guy, who just happens to get out of his room at the same time with her.

They locked eyes for a brief moment.

Caroline looked away completely ignoring him and sauntered towards the lounge area where several comfy sofas were located near the stairway. She sat on the sofa waiting for Mike to emerge from his room.

The annoying guy approached her. "Miss...is this yours? I saw it on the floor near the door of your room," he said and dropped the piece of card in her hands.

Caroline raised her brows in confusion and stared at the card. Then she followed the guy who was walking down the stairs until she can no longer see his back. She shifted her attention to the card, the other side was blank...however the front side has a written message written on it.

'I will leave my door open. You can come between 1 to 2 am. I have something important to tell you...'

That was the written message on the card. A creased appeared on her forehead. Huh? What the heck! Who is this guy? Who the hell he thinks he is? Did he think she was an easy loose girl that will enter a stranger's room in the middle of the night?

Well... she will prove him wrong.

The door in Mike's room opened. Caroline immediately put the card inside her pouch bag and smiled sweetly at the approaching Mike.

"You looked lovely tonight!" Mike commented appreciatively. "The beautiful lady in red!" he gushes.

She smiled.

"You look dashing and handsome as well!" Caroline returned the flattery.

Mike erupted into a chuckle, loving her flattery. Finally, she called him handsome and dashing, it made his heart beat faster in happiness.

"Come, my lady in red, let's paint the town red," he said in a sing-song voice and grinned.

Caroline giggled. "Let's go now to the restaurant 'coz I'm starving!" she demanded and rose to her feet.

"Alright, let's fill our empty stomach first" Mike agreed.
