The Greatest Dilemma [3]

Carson's dark hair and green eyes shocked Kang as she wasn't expecting him to even give her a second glance. She was then shocked even more as Carson grabbed her by her wrists and pulled her closer to him. In fear, she screamed. Carson stopped at hearing her scream. Kang stopped screaming as she felt her body stopped moving. Carson blinked as he slowly released her from his tight grip. He didn't mean to scare her. Carson felt like an idiot! When Kang blinked at him, her hazel eyes filled with tears, Carson felt like a monster who had almost devoured the woman. Carson left the living room for the second time today. He felt like a beast. He was messing up badly and it was their first day meeting each other!

He felt guilty for forcing the woman to sign the marriage papers, but he was desperate, but now that he learned that she could see ghosts, he was regretting his decision to marry her as he thought that she was weird and creepy for being able to see ghosts. He didn't want to be mocked for having an insane wife.

Kang knew what Carson was thinking. Everyone thought that she was insane, even when she proved that she wasn't lying. If he so rich and powerful, he could ruin me. I should listen to him from now on. I probably insulted him when I screamed in fear. She thought, afraid for her life. Feeling fear bubbling in the pit of her stomach, she got up from the couch and she went to find Carson. When she had finally found Carson, she dropped to her knees. "I'm sorry for offending you with my screaming," Kang says, shocking Carson. Carson almost dropped his phone in shock. This woman, no, Kang, had apologized because she thought that she had offended him! Carson approached Kang.

"You didn't offend me, but you did shock me," he was honest with the woman. Kang gazed up at him to see no trace of anger.

"You won't punish me?" She asked to make sure. Carson was honestly shocked with Kang's question that he gave her a blank look. He then answered non-verbally by shaking his head in the negative. Kang gave him a confused look, but she left his office, satisfied with his answer. Kang saw Jessie cooking alongside the maids of the house. "Ms?" She called out to Jessie and Jessie turned to smile at Kang.

"You don't have to call me 'Ms'. You can call me Jessie," Jessie tells Kang, who smiled at Jessie. Jessie is a lot nicer than him. Kang thought, feeling happy with Jessie. Jessie then decided to introduce Kang to Carson's name. "By the way, Kang, Carson is my brother's name," she tells Kang.

"Carson," Kang tried out his name on her tongue. It was at this moment that Carson was walking into the kitchen. He had heard his name from her lips and he stared at her, not moving. He huffed and looked away from her, as if he was dismissing her. Kang stared at the floor after she saw the way that Carson had stared at her. He doesn't even like me. Kang thought, sadly.
