1 Friend acquired

As they all say, 'you'll meet the right person for you, you just have to be patient.' And I kinda believe that.

Imada Masumi, a middle school student. Right now he's about to confess to a girl that he really liked for so long.

"Ayame! We've known eachother for a long time now. Since the first time we met I have always liked you! Please go out with me!!" Masumi said while bowing his head.

"I understand what you feel, really! but I'm very sorry Imada I only see you as a friend." The girl replied.

What that girl said at the time echoed in Masumi's head for 2 whole months. This has already happened to him before, but he never learned.

He promised to himself not to like anyone again until he finds the one who he thinks is truly ment for him.

Days became weeks, weeks became months and months became years. Masumi had slowly loss patience an had the feeling that maybe the person he's waiting for will probably never come.

Fast forward to present...

Someone's calling on the phone. Imada answers it while getting ready for the school entrance ceremony.

"Masumi my boy! How have you been? And how's your father doing?"

"Hello Mr. Furukawa! My father has been doing great. You have been a great help to my father's recovery, and I can't thank you enough." Masumi replied.

Mr. Furukawa owns a really big company and Imada's father worked under him. Imada's father and Mr. Furukawa we're great friends.

There was a huge issue with the company at the time and it was so bad that a notorious gang end up showing. The security couldn't stop the gang. They took Mr. Furukawa and drove away. But Masumi's father stopped them by crashing his car in front of them.

The police arrived and arrested the members of the gang. Mr. Furukawa wasn't badly injured but Imada's father was in coma for a year after the incident. But when he woke up he suffered from memory loss.

"I should be the one thanking Mr. Imada. I don't think I'd still be here if not for your father." Mr. Furukawa replied.

"I will try my best in helping him recover, so don't worry." he added.

"And also..."

"I would like to ask you a favor."

"What is it that you need Mr. Furukawa?" Imada asked.

"About my daughter, She'll be attending the same school as you. Sadly I couldn't be there for the entrance ceremony because of a problem with the company but I would like you to meet her if possible." Said by Mr. Furukawa.

At the school entrance gate.

There was a crowd of people. It looks like they're talking about someone. A girl? A cute girl?

I didn't really care that much about it so I just went on my way.

The entrance ceremony goes on, had a speech from the representative and from the principal. after that, we all went to our classrooms.

As I entered the room. I looked around.

("As expected I don't know anyone.")

Then I heard everyone in the room started whispering at eachother.

As I look around trying to understand the situation, a cute girl went inside the room. I only said she was cute based on everyone's reaction. To me it didn't really matter. But she looked kinda familiar.

The teacher then went inside. Talked about what we expect for the year to come and after that we all started introducing ourselves.

We all decided to start the introduction from the back. I so happen to be at the very back so I was called to introduce first.

"Hello! Imada Masumi I hope we have a great year together." i said.

Then the cute girl from earlier started looking at me curiously.

Then a while later it was now her turn to introduce herself.

"Hello everyone! I'm Furukawa Minako I hope we all have a wonderful year." She said then turned her head to me for a second.

(Wait... Furukawa? Mr. Furukawa?... Now that I remembered, her daughter! What was her name again?... Right it was Minako!! So that girl is Minako???")

After everyone's introduction they all went outside to look around the school.

Since Masumi didn't know anyone, he went on the rooftop to see the the whole area of the school.

While Masumi took a sip on his soda. He heard something.

He thought He was just imagining things but as Masumi looked at his right...

He saw Minako. She also looked at Masumi.

They were both too surprised to even say a word.

After a while she started talking.

"So you're Mr. Imada's son?" She asked.

"U-uh y- yes I'm Imada Masumi it's a pleasure meeting you." Masumi replied.

('Now that I've seen her face to face, she really do look like Mr. Furukawa's Wife. That's why she looked a little familiar.')

"I thank Mr. Imada, your father, for saving my dad. We don't know how we should thank you." Minako said.

"I have heard stories about you from my dad, Furukawa Minako It's my pleasure to meet you as well."

"If you need anything don't hesitate to ask. I'll try helping if I can." She added.

"I see, You look beautiful as your mother and as kind hearted as your father. No wonder alot of people go in circles around you earlier." Masumi laughingly said.

"What are you talking about?! I've been trying to run from them this whole time. They kept asking if I have a boyfriend or ask If I want to hang out with them." Minako said.

"Ehh.."

"I didn't even know them" she said.

"Since I didn't know anyone, I just looked for a place with less or no people at all. That's how I ended up here." She explained.

"So you're really that popular, I see. ("Sacry")". Masumi felt like If people saw him together with her, he'd be dead.

"I also didn't know anyone so I just went up here aswell." Masumi said

"I'll look around the school, If you also need anything you can ask me aswell." He added

"I'll be going then."He then started walking.
