2 Picture to Burn

The triplets sat next to each on the end of the bed. The three were both breathing heavily as they tried to find a way out.

"What about we tell them that we got scammed. Mommy and Daddy will believe that since we are only sixteen, young and stupid," Leo raised a hand as he said those words.

Alexa blows a sighed and looked at him with a flat face, "That's actually a great idea until mommy finds the person who scammed us and put him or her or probably them in the prison. And of course, we are talking about mommy, she will later find out that we lied so yes Leo, that is a great idea if you want this problem to go on forever" Alexa answered in sarcasm while her hands were itching to pull his blue hair.

"Oh! why don't we use Maribeth, my monkey! We can say that ahm, she ate the money that's why it's gone," she suggested.

With the same flat expression Alexa had earlier, Ethan looked at her, "Yes, that's a great idea until mommy opens the tummy of that poor little monkey and find out that we lied so knowing mommy, being stingy as always, she will probably ask the chef to cook the monkey and serve it on a silver platter, so yes Alexa, that is a great idea if you want your only best friend to be your dinner," Ethan spoke in the same sarcastic tone.

The three let out a heavy sighed once again. The people downstairs are waiting for them but they know that the moment they saw Alexa's dress, they will start asking question on where she bought it or how much she spent to get the dress done and once that question comes out, they know that their mother's ears will swell once she heard the real price of the dress.

"Daddy loves us right? If mommy decided to leave, he will stay with us right?" Alexa asked as she switched her eyes between her brothers.

The three fell deep with their thoughts, they reminisced the past when their parent fought, and every time, their father always ended up apologizing to their mother even though their mother was at fault.

Realizing that their father will choose their mother over them, the three let out a bitter laugh at the same time.

"We are so doomed! If mommy decided to leave us, daddy will throw us in the orphanage. Remember uncle Matthew and Uncle Ken, they did the same so I won't be surprised if daddy will do it to" Alexa plucked her lips and got up, Leo's blue hair was giving her a hard time to concentrate.

The room became silent, none of the triplets spoke as their mind thought of a way to escape their mother's wrath.

Growing up, they had seen how their mother stressed out by their action. There was a time, where they made chaos in the airport by bringing Ethan's smoke bomb, their parents needed to stay and explain themselves to the police but it was not the worse.

Last year, on their 15th birthday, their parent brought them to Safari. A lot of things did happen, first, they lost their sister Louisa in the wild, crawling with hungry lions and cheetah. They spent the first two days of their vacation stressing and looking around only to find out that Louisa didn't go with them, she sneaked out to visit their Aunt Novie and Uncle Ken's son.

But after that stressful two days, it only took two hours for the triplets to create another chaos and that was when they secretly brought a wild puma back to their hotel.

And because of that, their parents had decided to end their vacation and the same reason why they are throwing a party on their 16th birthday than traveling abroad.

"What's the plan now?" Leo absently asked.

Ethan got up and grabbed Alexa's right hand, he wrapped it around his arm and asked Leo to do the same.

The two were puzzled but did what he asked them to do.

"We are going to take it as it is, if mommy finds out, I will go hide at Uncle Danny's house, Alex, you can go to Uncle Ken and Leo, you can choose whether Uncle Matthew or grandma. We will come back once the issue cool off,"

Hearing those words, Alexa's expression has lightened up, her hand lifted to pinch Ethan's cheek.

"Oh your brain is so cute and smart brother, Let's go and start the party," Alexa spoke with enthusiasms as they walked their way out of the room.

But before they left, Ethan handed her a box wrapped in pink laces and a ribbon above while he gave Leo a blue box.

Alexa stopped and looked at her brother with confusion, "What is it?" she asked.

Her brother smiled at her and said, "Open it later, once all the visitor left the house."

Alexa stared on the box, curiosity was making her hands itchy, right now, she wants nothing but to open it.

But before she could, Leo took the box from her hand and ran downstairs. While chasing him, Alexa was able to snatch the blue box he has in his hand.

They both stopped by the end of the stairs, people around were looking at them, wondering what was happening.

Alexa and Leo stared at each other, then their hands slowly moved to open the gift Ethan gave to them while in the background, they could hear Ethan's voice shouting, 'Not Now idiots!'
