12 Chapter 12: Advancement

A glittering scroll printed with unrecognizable character is being held by Adam, scrutinizing how a piece of paper will enable him to become stronger. This scroll is the [ Job advancement scroll ] rewarded by the system.

" The product is very unique, system. I'll give you another 5 star rating for the added glowing visual effect. I would also suggest that some sort of background music must be added every time you open the scroll. It's good right?"

The system only keep silent towards Adam's review, recommendation and rating about the goods *cough*.. magical items provided.

" System, activate [ Job advancement scroll." Suddenly, the scroll held by Adam become golden powder swirling around his naked body ( for he had no extra clothes to use ).

" [ Job advancement scroll ] is being used.

[ Job: Summoner ] available evolution path is [ Summoner : Ancient Abyss Summoner ( beginner ) ]. Do you want to complete advancement?"

" Yes! " Adam replied. ' Who the hell would say no to this?! Also there's ancient in the name of the new [ job ]. According to my previous knowledge ( from novels, anime and mangas ), ancient corresponds to super powerful dudes.' Adam said inwardly.

" Choice confirmed. Initiating advancement to [ Summoner: Ancient Abyss Summoner ]."

After that, huge amount of black miasma was emitted by the grassy ground. These thick miasma forms a mini tornado around Adam then slowly entering his body. Visible changes then occur in Adam's body. His pale skin like from an anemic person become radiant white full of vitality and his dark pupils slowly turns to radiant gray like the eyes of dark elves depicted in books.

After completing these changes, the remaining miasma returns to the ground and everything returns to calm like everything never really happened.

Ding!

" Congratulation host for successfully advancing to [ Summoner: Ancient Abyss Summoner ]. Due to the advancement, [ Job specific Skills ] will be updated after the [ System upgrade ]. Rewards will also be distributed after the update. "

" Beautiful! I'm so beautiful!" Adam shouts as he look at his transformation on the surface of the pond. He was amazed to see an elven like being who only lacks those pointy ears looking at him. ' Is that me from now on?'

He had deep black slightly long hair and a white complexion that exudes an ethereal like aura. His face match with his gray eyes made everything so perfect that no one could believe that such a person is going to live in a world full of rotten zombies.

" This face should be thrown in those fantasy world and become a wood spirit in the forest." Adam said staring blankly at himself. Those artist on his previous life would sure kill their selves just to achieve his appearance.

Adam admire his reflection on the water for a long time sighing it was only now that he possess such face. Then it hit him.

' I'm very beautiful. So beau-!!!!!!'

" Nooo! I become beautiful! System, do something! Make me manly and tough! I'm a man!!! It's a curse to become a sissy face like this. How will my future blissful sexual life in the future will be?! No one wanted a man who looks more beautiful than them!! Change me back!! No!! Make me manly! I beg youuu!!!" Adam cried.

" Scanning... The host physical appearance perfectly fit the classification of ' man '. The [ system ] can't detect any anomaly in the host's transformation." the system explained.

" No! I don't want to become beautiful looking. I want to become a hunky and fierce! "

" Scanning... the host's description doesn't match with [ Summoner: Ancient Abyss Summoner ]. According to data collected and psychological analysis, the host is 85 % experiencing overreaction. Eliminating anomalies...

Conclusion... the host is naturally an overacting person... The [ system ] concedes in this matter." said the system after a long debugging process.

" No!! My future... my wife... you deprived me of what makes a man complete...system..You changed?! You're not like this before. After everything we've been through your going to abandon me like this? "

" The [ system ] had accessed the archive of this world. After inspection, it was found that 89% of the women population of this world before the apocalypse will prefer the host's appearance. Please host to settle down. "

Adam was stunned by such information. " really? Then are those women still alive? "

Ding!

" The host must not be worried by trivial things. The host is very attractive and will not have any problem getting a partner. "

Adam then calm down after being coaxed by the system. ' Phew. It's a good thing that I'm attractive in this world. I'm sorry system, I have wronged you. Your son is repenting.'

" Since the host's advancement is completed and no further modifications are needed, the [ system ] is going to perform [ system update ]. The update will take 5 hours. Please stay in the [ Garden of the King ] because all basic function of the system will not be available during the update."

After that, everything become silent. Adam who don't have anyone to talk to decided to explore the [ Garden of the King ] while naked ( because his basic equipment was not yet distributed by the system ).

Adam only took a very good look of his space right now. His garden is actually like a floating small island in a void where you can see bright cosmos like background. The whole island only look about 20 square kilometer and most of it's space is occupied with fruit trees and some small hills, forest, the seeming inconspicuous pond and waterfalls which is obviously man-made.

With nothing to do, Adam took a stroll on the fruit trees eating its fruit from time to time. The fruits are very big where one fruit is more than enough for 4 people. It's just weird that Adam actually finished it all and is still not full.

This is actually the first time that Adam enjoyed his stay in [ Garden of the King ]. The past days, he only used his space as a resting place. Its only now that he realized that the space is actually big enough to build a small community.

Adam also realized something. When he advanced, he actually establish a strange connection with the garden, like in here, he is a true [ Lord ]. He can change the structure of the land, weather and the life of anything which enter his garden.

With this discovery, Adam controlled the wind and he fly as he inspect his land like a land owner.

He spent his lonely hours without the system to talk to in familiarizing his territory.
