Chapter 80: Memaids and the kraken
Suzue held ethan securely in her hands and gestured for the other two to stay close at her.
"What's happening Suzue? " Prince ryan asked worriedly.
"I'm not worried i am just asking. You are one of the people of our kingdom. I can't let you guys get hurt"
Jasmine glance at ryan on the mirror and silently sigh in her heart. the man is really handsome. unfortunately he is not tristan.
She already promised her heart that in this lifetime she wouldn't love, like, or trust anyone except suzue and the family. she can make exemption of lucas since she can feel tristan on him.
Jasmine snap out of her thoughts and lightly tap her cheeks from thinking unnecessary things.
"woman, i'm hungry" jasmine heard ethan whine softly on suzue's ear and hum lightly.
She already knows that the boy is a vampire. Jasmine is not stupid she can literally see the fangs poking out on the mouth of the boy.
She remained silent though. As what she said earlier she's not a stupid person so she knows that they kept it a secret on porpuse.
"Ezu" noah softly called and he held jasmine hand and they lightly back away from the end of the ship when they slowly sees a tentacle crawling into the ship.
The tentacle is painted with dark blue but the dark sky made it look like black. it slowly entered the ship and everyone could see how large it si.
"Is... is this the tentacle of a kraken?"
one of the passengers fearfully said and immediately rushes towards the room followed by the others.
their reaction was really normal so the remaining one also did the same causing the room to become full of people.
"Woman" suzue stared at the boy in her arms who's weakly tugging on her hair and breathing heavily.
she can see his eyes lighten and her crimson eyes turning bloody red.
Suzue unsheathe her sword a bit and grip on the blade causing her palm to bleed
she turn around and faced and immediately handed it towards ethan who suck on it.
"Lucas. we might arrive a bit later"
Suzue said at the mirror amused after seeing the another three tentacles crawling in the ship.
"I have a full on trust on you Suzue"
Suzue hear the prince desperate plea
Confused at first but she remained silent and stared at the young man.
She saw him staring away from him and his ears were red. she fought the urge to laugh.
Not once did this prince become honest with him just this once.
Strangely it's amusing.
"Live" and that one word the mirror disappeared.
Suzue stared at the place where the mirror was and put down ethan when she finally notice him done sucking her blood.
"you two stay with noah. i'll...i'll go and play"
The three of them went to the corner where the safest place is.
and suzue stared at the tentacles that were starting to destroy the ship and unsheathe her katana.
ready to slice every tentacles that are willing to play with her.
meanwhile, in henry agustin's sides everything weren't going according tot he plan.
not like there's a plan in the first place but henry really wanted to be with his beloved that bad. however, life seems toying at him.
"What do you mean people rose?. i don't understand"
He helplessly said and stared at the beautiful girl in front of him who's face is void with any expression but rage.
"My people where are they?!!, she told me that the lord, your father locked them in the underground of his mansion!!. but when i went there i saw nothing!"
Henry was confused... yeah he might be the most favored but he's also the most hated. so whatever happens in the mansion he's the last person to know.
he didn't care at most, he doesn't even want the position his father gave him but he has no choice.
"I don't know anything about that i am just here to apologize about my behavior yesterday"
he tried to reach her but she slapped his hand.
"I don't care. tell me where are the mermaids"
Mermaids?. Henry never felt confused in his entire life. but he once heard about the mermaids.
his mother told her that they went extinct a few yeas ago and the kind of the mermaids is just a coward man who couldn't even protect his own daughter.
His daughter married a human and resides in this land and since then mermaids started communicating with humans as well.
But then the kraken was woken by a human. Kraken's favorite dessert is the merfolk so it wasn't a surprise that mermaids were afraid of the kraken.
The human was the lord who made every merfolk become the people's slaves. he hates mermaid but desires and was also greedy with their beauty.
Under his command and order, all the mermaids were turn as a slaves and the females were put in the brothel because of their beauty.
The kraken went to sleep after seeing all the mermaids were now inside its stomach.
the mermaids went in extinct after that. That's what henry's mother told him.
so after hearing rose mentioning those beautiful creatures, henry didn't know what to say.
"They went extinct few years ago rose" he said in a confused tone.
"are you taking me for a fool?, you know what? forget it! you good for nothing! i won't ever love you!"
Henry tried to explain his self but could only helplessly watch the woman walk away from him.... and probably from his life.
"Damn it, way to go henry you mess up badly. i guess she's right i mean she's always right.... i'm really just a good for nothing"
He grips his hair tightly and took a deep breath.
She stared at the seashore where they first met and walk towards there.
he knows how everyone sees him. bu he couldn't get angry because they were real.
He's indeed a good for nothing bastard.
Even his mother left him and his father for another man. looks are really are everything ah.
"What's got you frowning?"
He turn his head towards the owner of the person and saw the man that become a referee in his duel.
"You?.. it's nothing"
The man stared at him coldly and smiles. his smile made him feel chill on his back so he unconsciously took a step back and tried to get away from him but a sentence made him halted on his steps.
"i have something that could make you tun to from a good for nothing to someone feared by all. Someone competent and full of power. "
"What? that's impossible don't take me as a fool"
he tried to go away but the man with silver hair spoke again.
"You don't want to?. Do you really want to be a good for nothing your entire life?"
he pauses and stared at the man.
he have a feeling that this would turn chaotic in his side.
but... he's tired.
so tired.
so he accepted.
