Free Time to Investigate

Morning classes were quite slow and boring.

From one subject to the next the twins couldn't concentrate on the classes.

They had all their classes together and both just wish the time would go by faster.

For one reason Claire wanted to start her research and another is Sam want to research about disasters.

As they are walking to their last morning class before lunch when someone called out.

"Wait for me Sam," Annie calls out to only Sam as she runs over to where they were standing.

In all honesty the two of them just wanted to ignore her and leave her behind but they actually have the same class for this period.

Claire had a clear picture of what she was trying to do. She was disgusted with how Annie was deliberately trying to pretend that she wasnt there, "If you want us to wait for you, you should be more aware that I'm here as well."

"Ooh, I'm sorry Claire I didn't see you there. I hope you don't hold it against me, I just saw Sam and ran over to say hi," Annie spoke with a sickly sweet voice in a timid manner as if she had been wronged.

"Whether or not you saw me or not you should pay attention to your surroundings. Should you say the wrong thing you have to apologize."

"Claire, why are you speaking to me like that? Did I do something to offend you," with an innocent tilt of her head Annie was silently cursing in her head. 'Why can't she just go away so I can talk to Sam. She is so annoying and pisses me off.'

When Annie spoke it was kind of loud and it made to other students notice that they are fighting.

Sam was standing off to the side, when the two girls were starting to argue with one another. He just wished Annie would go away, she always acts like a white lotus.

Yes, she was sickly and weak when she was growing up but her parents took very well care of her as she grew up. She was strong like an ox, but she still acts and looks like she could die by a gust of wind.

"You heard me, I'm just stating a fact don't twist my words," Claire was also annoyed with her. She couldn't hold her temper today as she still had the dream from last night fresh in her mind.

Annie got tears in her eyes that rolled down her cheeks, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. Don't hold it against me."

One of the students watching calls out, "Would you stop bullying Annie. What has she ever done to you?"

Another person supported her, "That's right. You don't have to make her cry."

Sam stepped in front of Claire to defend her, "My sister isn't being unreasonable. She's just telling her what she did wrong and to apologize."

"It's not like she is yelling at her. I don't even know why Annie started crying this hard for," Sam continued and rolled his eyes at this situation. As always Annie had to start trouble first and in the process make it the other party's fault.

"That's right it's all my fault. I'm sorry," Annie won't let it go and continues crying and then runs away.

Once she runs away the hallway quites down, but the others were mumbling and gossiping about how Claire was 'being mean' to Annie.

"Don't mind them. They just don't know what she is really like."

"I'm alright Sam. You don't have to worry about me. She always targets me so I'm use to it," Claire just shrugs it off and reassures Sam that she is fine. "Let's just go to class. I hope we have a free class today instead of lab. I'd rather start my research ."

"I know Claire, let's go," Sam pulls her to their class.

They first notices that Annie isn't in the room as they decide where to sit.

"Over there," Claire nudges Sam towards the table in the back corner of the class for only two people.

Once the twins were in their seats the bell rang for the class to start. The teacher walks in and announces that class will be self-study and he walks right back out, not even giving an explanation on why there was no class.

"Well that's convenient."

"Yeah, at least we can start our research," Sam was already reaching for his phone to start looking into any recent news on natural disasters.

Claire was also getting her phone out to do her own research.
