6 Gains and Eating?!

[Day 2... Again]

After reading the description, a lot of things suddenly made sense to him, like why he couldn't process what he was reading clearly and why time seemed to be flowing so much faster as he realized it was becoming light outside.

'Omi, when did I wake up? And what day is it?'

"You woke up at around 3 a.m., and it is currently 7 a.m., and it is only the day after you were bitten by the zombies." Omi replied with a thoughtful expression while rubbing her chin with her thumb and index finger.

'Okay, how the heck are you so patient with me even though I've obviously been slow while we were speaking with one another?' (A/N: I don't write down his expressions as he is the equivalent of a dried-up mummy, and when squinting his eyes, it's actually just the energy within his hollow eye sockets that becomes thinner for those that want to know ;D)

"Well, Master, I just perceive time differently, and you aren't slow when doing something; it's only when you are trying to figure something out that you stop focusing on everything around you and start focusing solely on processing what your mind is set on; that takes the most time for you." Omi said this while sweetly smiling at Abel.

'That reminds me, Omi, how did I turn into a Husk and not a Zombie? Also, what was that thing you said about there being a crystal within my chest? Where did it come from and how did it get there?'

Omi was ambushed by question after question from the curious Abel, feeling like she was getting beaten by the imaginary words crashing into her.

"I know that it was because of the crystal, and that black liquid infused in your body, that your original System was corrupted. As well as it being the cause of you turning into a Husk instead of a Zombie, but other than that, I can't tell you much other than the fact that I do know what the crystal is, but can't tell you yet, I have no idea why or how it's in your chest." Omi said this with a disappointed look on her face.

'That's okay, Omi, it's out of your hands, so let's move forward.' Abel said this while rubbing her head with his index finger, noticing how withered it was, like a dried-up raisin.

"Okay!" Omi said it cheerfully and with a smile.

Abel struggled to get up off the floor with his stiff joints, but when he finally managed to stand up, he saw that the four zombies were still wandering around him.

Mostly because there wasn't anyone on the fourth floor as far as Abel knew that would have attracted them, which just consisted of the teacher's office and the infirmary.

Explaining why the only zombies up here were these four morons, as everyone else would likely be on the lower floors or in the dorms because the Apocalypse had begun during the busiest part of school time.

Looking at his blood on the floor, Abel remembered that there was another zombie that was made by the previous three that had turned into zombies from the Primordial Mist.

'Omi, since my thought processing is that of an infant, could you please suggest what I should do roundabout now?'

"Okay! I suggest using Wither on the injured zombie since there are already open wounds on its body." replied Omi with her finger on her lips.

'Hmmm, but which attribute should I choose to drain and absorb from it?'

"Choose vitality since it's weak at the moment, possibly killing it, and then eat what is left, hopefully unlocking the Trait within your race's description, allowing you to increase your other physical stats." Omi said it with a thoughtful expression.

Abel looked at Omi with his mouth agape, asking, 'Are you crazy, Omi?! Even if that is a zombie now, it was still a human before!'

"Well, yes, but you aren't a human anymore, so does it matter? And it isn't as if you will have to keep doing it. You just have to do it until your Wither ability levels up enough." Omi said while rolling her eyes and having a wronged look on her face.

'Sigh... You're right I'm sorry, Omi, it's just really disgusting thinking of it.'

After Abel said that Omi hugged his cheek to show that she understood.

Mustering up his courage, Abel decided to do as Omi said but also decided to use Appraise on the zombie beforehand just to be careful.

[Description]

A human that has failed to survive mutation through the Primordial Mist has died, causing the existing viruses to go through a rapid mutation, taking over the body and causing it to become a walking corpse only capable of seeking the lifeforce of other beings.

-----------------------------------------

'Okay, how am I supposed to use Wither on this zombie if its Vitality is higher than mine?'

"Oh! Sorry for not telling you earlier, Master, but as long as its health is lower than yours, you can use Wither and absorb its Vitality!" Omi said in embarrassment.

When Abel heard that, he didn't even bother responding, just walking directly to the zombie, sticking his hand in its neck where a chunk of flesh was missing, and initiating Wither for the first time ever.

Feeling the energy leaving his chest, he focused on the thought of taking the zombies' Vitality.

Suddenly he felt a rush of energy flowing into him, accompanied by a green light, which he assumed was the zombie's life force, or rather Vitality.

He quickly realized that the zombie's wounds were rapidly decaying and that its blood was becoming black and thick like tar.

The zombie quickly lost the battle for survival and collapsed onto the ground with the other zombies, none the wiser about what was approaching them.

Abel decided to get this whole thing over with and fell on top of the zombie, starting to bite down on it and ripping chunks of meat away.

What ensued was senseless carnage where a Husk named Abel was lying on top of a dead zombie, devouring it for 12 hours, straight down and including the bones.

'Sigh! What time is it, Omi?' Abel asked while lying on his back with a comically bulging stomach and the black blood on his face unknowingly being Absorbed by his skin.

"It's currently 8 p.m., Master."

'Well, let's see that status, why don't we!'
