Academy Starts 3
The word Hermit is mostly referred to Powerful people who walk in the shadow. They are never ranked and the reason is they prefer a peaceful life than living in a celebrity life.
And Sosuke Kaizen is a powerhouse thats on his own league. If he were to be ever ranked, He'd be ranked among the top 10 in world hero ranking. But he refused to take part in any of those nonsense. He liked his life style as it is now.
But his life won't be peaceful for much longer because in four years time he'll be taking a major roll in war against the Orcs. The last stand of humanity to exterminate their kind and take control of the southern border. But thats a story for another time.

After showing the librarian my student ID I asked him where I can find the books about mana theory. He personally guided me there and handed me a book about mana theory from one of the old shelves in the center of the hall.
After handing me the book he went to the counter and did his daily routine. I took the book and went to a near by desk to read it.
Mana is known as a source energy that was unable to be proven by science till this day. Humans got access to mana through the awakening process by the help of the elves. To get access to mana first you need to build a mana core that is the size of a pebble in your heart.
There are mainly two kind of mana usages. First one is the common way witch you naturally store mana in the atmosphere to your mana core through a process called mana cultivation. The More you advance in mana cultivating the more your growth speed fasten.
And the second method witch the top rankers are mostly using is using mana in the atmosphere and bend it to your will using mystic arts.
But like always there are exceptions. Some develop their own ways to use mana and go on to become masters of different sects.
There are multiple ways to use mana. Some uses mana to reinforce their bodies and weapons. And others weave spell chants through mana particles and gives life to them. But they all uses a common way to use mana witch is using skills.
To use them you need to first memorize the diagram of the said skill and lead mana in your core according to the diagrams.
Different people has different mana types according to the elements you are to be born with. Fire elements users can only absorb mana particles that includes fire elements and etc. Higher ups describe this phenomena as The Mana rule. And when your affinities with each of these elements are over or equal to 50%, mana types in your mana core combines and develop a rare element affinity. In My case it is the Telekinetic ability.

When I was done reading the book about mana theory it was already 3 at noon. After putting the book back in the shelf, I went to the counter and paid the fee for using the library.
Yes, In the new earth you have to pay for everything. It doesn't matter you are rich or poor they treats everyone equally. That is why when you first joins the academy they gives everyone an equal amount of 1000 PC. This includes the gym and dorm rooms you stays. But the price isn't that high, they only deduct 1 PC for an hour.
I stayed at the library for five hours so I guess I have to pay 5 PC.
- Payment Declined -
" Huh? " Suddenly my payment got declined.
" Excuse me Mr Sosuke, I think somethings wrong with the system, because my payment got declined " I asked from the red haired librarian.
" Theres nothing wrong with the system, cadet Avion. It's your first day at the academy. So save up your PC. Consider it a favor " He said without opening his eyes.
" Uhh.. Thank you. Till next time. " I said awkwardly and left the library.
" Till next time. " He said as I was heading out.

After coming out of the library I went straight to the academy convenience store.
On my way to the convenience store I saw so many first year cadets grouping together and merrily chatting with each other. Looks like most of them have already formed groups.
As I was nearing the convenience store I saw black haired girl with waist long glossy hair coming from the professors/teachers area of the academy. I casually waved my hand at her and approached her.
" I didn't know we'd meet gain this early mt fellow classmate. And Judging from the direction where you are coming from, I bet Professor Aurora called you to her office. And let me guess, it is due to you not showing up in the Grand Hall as the Representative of the year. " I said casually.
" Nice deduction. " She said indifferently while walking.
" Haha. By the way Have you had your lunch yet ? I am heading towards the convenience store. Wanna join. " I asked her laughing slowly while pointing my finger towards the convenience store.
" No I didn't had my lunch and No thank's I want to save up my PC. " She said while walking past me.
" Lunch is on me by the way. "As I said that She suddenly stopped in her tracks and looked at me indifferently.
" Sure. I will take you up on your offer. " She said.
It doesn't matter how rich you are outside of the academy because you can't exchange outside currency with academy PC. You have to earn them yourself by doing missions. And as for me I had some spare credits That I got from not paying the library fee. HE HE.
" Ok, then let's go " I said while walking towards the store.
Though it is a academy store, It was as big as a Food city in my previous life. And it had a variety of instant foods to try from. Since coming to this world I always wanted to try some of the new earth foods. But I never had the chance to do so. So I'll first start with the instant noodles and compare its taste with the past earth.
After entering the store I directly went to the shelf with instant noodles and bought two.
" You are going to eat those? " Freya asked as she walked behind me.
" Yup. Why? You don't like instant noodles. " I asked sneakily.
" It's not that. I thought nobles hate instant food. " She said as indifferently as ever.
" Well, I wanted to try these as a change. And it's not like I know how to cook to make my self some meal. " I lied through my teeth while shrugging. I didn't wanted to trouble my self in to preparing a meal after that long reading session.
Freya stared at me for a few seconds indifferently and went to the ingredients side of the store. She returned again after two minutes with a small bag of ingredients and took the cup noodle in my hand from me.
Then she went to a near by hot water filter and pored some hot water in to the both cups and Went to a near by dining table in the convenience store. After tying her glossy black hair into a ponytail She took out the ingredients she bought and slowly added them to the both cups.
Confused by her sudden behavior I asked her a question.
" Umm.. Freya, What exactly are you doing. " I asked in confusion.
" Preparing a meal. " She said while putting two eggs and a two small packets of soy sauce in to the cup noodles and adding some more ingredients here and there.
' Of course I know you are preparing a meal. I have eyes you know. But this is a convenience store, not a kitchen you moron. ' I thought to my self and took extra measures to not let it slip from my mouth.
" Fooh. Ok. " I said while exhaling.
After five minute time she was done preparing.
The aroma that came from the cup noodles hit my nostrils as I sat down beside Freya and started to slowly slurp the broth of the cup noodles. As soon as the different spices in the broth hit my taste buds I felt like the luckiest man on the world to taste this heaven defying taste. I never knew instant noodles could taste this good.
" I never knew rich girls can cook. " I said while eating the meal that was prepared by Freya.
" When you are alone most of the time in home you pickup a thing or two. " She said while slurping down her own cup noodle .
As she mentioned those words I felt a little sad for her.
After finishing the meal we sat up and walked towards the exit of the store. I opened the door for Freya this time as well and Thanked her for the meal.
But just as we stepped out of the convenience store I saw a group of four cadets standing in front of us. A certain white haired girl in that group looked at me as if I have committed a grave crime while giving me a look of disgust.
