44 Hide

I lightly slapped Haruto's cheeks as I directed his angry gaze towards me. I then said firmly,

"Erase that thought. I am not so weak as to let you shoulder my burdens and hurt others for my sake. Despite the terrible things that he has done, I will be the one to pay him back not you. Do you understand?"

Haruto's blue eyes glowed icily as he refused to back down. I clicked my tongue in annoyance before placing my hands on my hips. Haruto turned his face as a small pout covered his features. For the first time I felt true annoyance. 

I know internally that I should be thankful for his caring attitude. But for some reason instead I only feel annoyance.
