15 A hateful driver

I tightened the sash of my male trench coat to hide the slacks, blouse, and suspenders underneath. I looked over to see Haruto still snoring softly on the futon next to mine.

I smiled. Today was the day that I was going to Dr. McKinnon's lab after a week from meeting my lab team. I plopped a fedora on top of my head in order to hide my ginger hair. In order to not attract attention I've dressed like a man using Haruto's clothes. The blouse and slacks were kind of large as he has a tall, muscular build compared to my thin, lean one. Whatever. This is all for the sake of science and my escape from this engagement. If I truly do make a product that sells well I will not need this engagement any longer. By that time I will have bodyguards that can fend off the Yakuza when I escape. I nodded. Perfect plan. Now I just need to execute it.

I slowly tip-toed out of the room in fear of waking up Haruto. I slightly slid open the door as I set my foot into the corridor. My paper lab reports all tucked inside of Haruto's trench coat. As I slid the door closed a voice made me jump.

"Oh? I didn't know that I was sharing a room with a man."

I chuckled nervously as I covered my face with my fedora to avoid Haruto's glare. I deepened my voice as I said.

"I'm very sorry sir but I had to stay in here while Miss Astrid was planning in the office."

Haruto chuckled before he walked over and and leaned in. He tilted my head upwards as he licked his lips.

"My dear sir do you know what it means for two men to sleep in the room? I originally prefer woman but when a man looks as handsome as you I might consider breaking off my engagement."

I blushed as my face turned as red as my hair. Haruto smirked as he leaned in and softly kissed my lips. I pushed him back as he laughed. Oh my God what a flirt! Haruto licked his lips as he walked back and sat on his futon. He then waved at me and said.

"Do come back another time so we could continue our little "seance" my dear male Astrid."

I closed the door in anger as Haruto's laughter filled my ears. That son of a bitch! He pisses me off more than when my oxidation reaction accidentally precipitates!

Calm down Astrid. Get your head in the game and focus on your mission. As I walked out in the garden towards the main gate of the Yamaguchi's residence I saw Reo watering the plants. I smiled and rushed over to him.

"Reo! Ohayo!"

Reo looked at me in shock before smiling and replying with.

"Ohayo Onee-San or should I call you Nii-San?"

I chuckled. I was dressed as a male after all.

Reo then set down his watering pot as he walked me towards the gate. He opened it to reveal a black 1920's style Ford automobile. I whistled. She sure was fine. Reo then laughed before he said.

"The driver will come out now to take you to your lab."

I smiled as I leaned against the gate waiting for the driver. Excitement filled me. I get to mess around with chemicals again! This whole week I've been quartered up in me an Haruto's room rejecting his advances as I planned. He was getting quite cheeky. I heard the sound of footsteps.

Oh it must be the driver. I turned and smiled as I said.

"It's nice to meet you my name is Aster and I shall be in your- You son of a bitch what are you doing here?"

Haruto chuckled. He was dressed in a black suit, blouse and black shoes. He wore a driver's hat along with white gloves. He bowed as his blue eyes sparkled. I blushed. He reminded me of a handsome butler in some anime that I used to watch.

"My dear sir, I will be your escort to your destination. After all isn't it a lover's duty to escort the one he loves?"

I flushed as I opened the door and slammed it shut when I got in the car. Haruto chuckled as he got in the car next to me. I turned my face to look out the window in fear of Haruto looking at my embarrassed face. Suddenly I felt Haruto's finger turn my head to face him. He smiled as he kissed my forehead.

"Don't show that expression to anyone but me."

Haruto's blue eyes seemed to pierce my soul as he said that in a serious tone. I blushed even deeper as I pushed Haruto away.

"Just drive asshole."

Haruto chuckled as he said.

"As you wish my dear lady."
